Introduce Yourself!

Name´s Amuse, your resident EU scrub. I live in Slovakia at the moment though hopefuly I´ll be able to relocate to some place with better prospects in the future.

I used to be all about Tekken before I jumped on the Anime bandwagon with BlazBlue CSE, never looked back. I first saw SG on a stream of the beta ran by a guy I know from Persona 4 Arena and I knew I had to have it in my life. When the free weekend came around I immadiatelly grabbed it to see if my laptop could run it and sure enough, it could so I bought it. And boy am I glad I did. I play Filia/Squigly for now, I might add a 3rd character, I might not. I´m very stubborn about knowing my character s thoroughly so 2 is usually enough for me in any game.

I´m a poor college student at the moment so I play on my wired 360 pad. It´s...not as bad as people might think it is, but I´d still love to get a stick when possible.

As much as I love SG it´s not my most focused-on FG, that spot belongs to Persona 4 Arena however my 360´s power supply died on me this morning, so I´ll be focusing exclusively on SG until I get a replacement going.

My other hobbies include playing drums, listening to music, watching anime & reading manga.

That´s pretty much it, hope to get along with all of you!

I'm Verstande, I'm currently a student attending freshman year of university. I got into Skullgirls because I tried it out at a local meet-up during its first week of release and I thought it was cool. My "favorite" fighting game is Third Strike but I suck absolute ass at it, like I do at pretty much all fighting games.

I play Filia and Cerebella and I can't seem to drop them or add another, I'm just too used to it I guess.

Howdy, you can just call me Medzy.

I got into Skullgirls at its launch day, It has been one of my favorite overall games since; I'm very happy to see it grow. I've been lurking the forums here for about a week (still lurking).
I wouldn't say I'm good at fighting games, but I do enjoy them immensely (Street Fighter Third Strike in particular).

On a final (personal) note: I have dyslexia, so I'm sorry if I make a post that literally don't make sense. If I do, please point it out.

I hope I get along with everyone!

I'm Dayton; I go by Electric Tuba or Cardensha most places. I've played a few fighting games before (mostly Blazblue and Smash), and picked up Skullgirls a couple weeks ago (PDubs ftw). I don't think I've posted anywhere except the big band mp song thread, but I'll get around eventually.

Music major, tuba and piano, college student, Texan, Dark Souls, etc etc. Nice to meet all of you.

Hey, I'm MVDK (but you can call me just Craig or DK since I know it doesn't quite roll off the tounge :P).

A master of button-mashing currently residing in Scotland. Got my start in fighting games with MVC2 in the early 2000s, but it wasn't until round about 2010 I started playing fighters a bit more than just a minor genre I dabbled in. Currently a pad user. Other than Skullgirls, I play Dark Souls, Dead Rising, CS:GO and other things.

In between work and computer networking classes, you can generally find me on steam playing something. Hit me up if you're ever down for a round or two. I'm a pretty laid-back guy, so feel free to send me a message.

Hello, I'm NutellaCrepes! I either go by this, NC, or fashionableFidelious over the internetz. Anyways, not too long ago I discovered Skullgirls through a gaming channel run by an artist I watch on dA. It piqued my interest, so I looked it up and now I've fallen in love with this game. Peacock has attached to me and has become my favorite character. I have actually never played the game, but I'm hoping to get it for Christmas on PC (probably gonna get an 360 controller for it, for I'm more comfortable with it then I might be with the keyboard). I love RPGs (mostly the Mario and Luigi series) and fighting games such as Street Fighter and Super Smash Brothers.

I don't consider myself above beginner, really, I don't know (nor am I skilled enough) to be able to pull off fancy combos and the such, I just like to play games for the heck of it.

I have been lurking around here for a tiny bit before joining, I only really check out the Visual Art and Off Topic sections of the forum.

And since I'm bored and it's winter break, if anyone happens to have Animal Crossing: New Leaf and needs friends or whatever the reason, feel free to message me your friend code and I'll be glad to send you mine (PLEASE I'M LONELY)

But anyways, I hope to have a good time here at Skullheart. :3

Howdy! I'm Felarine, but you can call me Lexis or Alex. I come from Indiana, and I am a youngin'.
I wouldn't say I'm advanced, maybe above beginner. I know infinites and such, but not any combos outside of that. I found Skullgirls through TV Tropes. I don't normally play fighters, but Skullgirls caught my interest through Big Band (and Squigly), which brings me to my next little paragraph.
I am a band geek. I play tuba, baritone/euphonium, trumpet, and some piano/bari sax. I plan on joining marching as a tuba next year, too. I'm currently in a concert band and jazz band, and love everything about them.
I was a lurker before joining, but I decided to finally contribute and post.
My team switches up every once in a while, but its normally either Fillia/Cerebella/Ms.Fortune, or when I play on my friend's computer, Ms. Fortune/Squigly.
I'm an Xbox loser. I don't mind the unupdated status, but it bothers me when I play PC a little. I wish the community was active on there, as I have no one to fight against. I'm planning on buying it on PC soon though!
I hope to enjoy my time here and get over my slight fear of going onto forums!

edit: A friend of mine just bought me and him steam Skullgirls! I'm going to save and get Squigly/Color Palettes soon. It's felarine, but I've been running as Original Team Name for a while. I'd be happy to fight!

likeClockwork here, a beginner currently playing as Painwheel and Valentine. I think I have an aggressive playstyle but I'm a beginner so what do I know :u
I played the Touhou fighting games (except that last only-aerial-combat one), but Skullgirls is my first fighting game majorly involving combos. I discovered it via Millbee's video on the game. I enjoyed the Touhou fighters and wanted another fighting game, heard Skullgirls was good, and was not disappointed.

Been forgetting to put this up for a while but, hello everyone.
As the name-tag and signature says, I go by the name PaperBag_Sniper. I've mostly just played Smash Bros and Guilty Gear through the years, but I'd been following a lot of the art streams and Salty Cupcakes streams for long enough that I decided that enough was enough. I purchased Skullgirls early November and have been trying to find the time to learn the game better. If there are any steam groups of people who like to practice please shoot me an invite because I don't really learn much from Training mode (although I'm probably doing it wrong).

And shoutout to Ferline and Electric Tuba, Band Geeks unite!! though I haven't played most of my instuments in years. (I miss the weight of my Sousaphone)

'ey!
Name's Lonestar, 3 quick things about me
1.got this game during fall sale due to free weekend showing me how awesome it was
2.I main Fillia, combo's for dayz
3. I'm some of the few people who don't own Squigly, even though i want her so much

Clockwork, I played the Touhou games too! Been playing since about 2009 or so, but going from Skullgirls to SWR or the newer one (which I wouldn't recommend, it has a HUGE system change and its nothing like SWR or Hiso) is kind of awkward.

Electric Tuba and PaperBag, nice to see there are more tubas out there! Here at my school I'm made fun of for being a tiny little girl with a tuba, and I'm one of two in my school (may or may not kick them real hard for it). Least in marching I'll get to join seven others. Always makes my day to meet another tuba somehow.

Allo, allo, allo! Name's Okami. Beginner at Skullgirls- more experienced at TF2. IndieGoGo backer in the contributor creds under the name Jim K. Happen to now know someone who could easily cosplay a stunning Parasoul. Also hats. Wish they'd gotten added- there's a reason the new hat importer tool for TF2 exists. Oh well. Pleasure to be here.

Name's Daniel. Somewhat good with Skullgirls though its what all i do all day if im not on tumblr... Happy to be here

I bought myself Skullgirls, along with Squigly yesterday! (Thank you, holiday sales) So if anyone wants to play, feel free to add me on Steam! I'm probably going to get my ass kicked though, since I'm newer to the game, and I need to get used to the keyboard.

And to join you band geeks here, I play trombone. (I'm the only one in my band orz) There are a lot more in the 6th and 7th grade bands though.

Hiyo! My name is Silent, and Skullgirls is my favorite fighting game so far! I consider myself an artist, and I hope I can find my place here, making comics, doodling, and trying not to suck. I am the self-proclaimed "apprentice" of Night Phyre, and Krye is teaching me too. This community is insanely friendly, so I hope I'm well received!

Oh, and sorry my Avatar sucks; I'm painting a new one at the moment. Here, have a progress pic!

So yeah!

In other news, I play Squigly, Parasoul, and The Showstopper. I like to draw, be socially reclusive, and cry in the corner when I contemplate how much I do those first two things.
I think that summarizes my existence decently.

I'll edit as necessary! I'm pretty noob, so if you're new/pretending you're new so you can beat the screaming Jesus out of me, go for it! My Steam ID is linked on my profile.

So yeah! Take care, guys!

Hey all! My name is Mikel. I'm a twenty year old (turning twenty one next month) Skullgirls player who first got his grasp on the game back in 2012 when the game was still brand new and prior to the recent re-release on PC.

My Steam account can be found in my profile; and as far as Skullgirls goes (having begun to readapt myself into the game), my main is Filia. I also play on PSN as well, but mostly games like BlazBlue, Street Fighter, and Aquapazza.

Alright guys I'll come out of the lurkings. Prototype here. Nice to meet everyone. I've been playing for a while just never had a reason to speak up. I take some issue with some squigly tech, where would i go to discuss/ suggest balance etc?

Sup. D.R.E here by way the srk forums after I got a new found interest in this game and wondered why the SG section of Srk was so ded. I bought SG when it first dropped in '12 on both Xbox and ps3, but I sold my arcade stick for my ps, so I'm purely an Xbox player when it comes to fighters..so im a training room junkie for now until encore gets dropped on my console of choice being as of right now SG XBL seems to be a ghost town

I like this game a ton of a lot more than I do SFiv (which has been the only fighter I've played for years, although I wouldn't say I'm anywhere other than on the low scale of intermediate at it) I like the flow of this game, and I want to put time in to learn it. I'm running Parasoul Double as my team, I may pick up a third character eventually, but I've never played a team game before, so I'm easing into the whole assists/team building thing...

I'm a huge NBA fan and I produce music as well..I will more than likely eventually share some of my stuff..

After clocking 60 hours on the PC version, I decided to sign up here. Skullgirls is my first fighting game and admittedly gets the blood hot at times. Honestly, I never knew I could get angry at a videogame until I got perfected by someone playing an excellent "zoning" Peacock. I'm pretty sure I've fought at least a few of you here as I've been recognizing names and profile pictures here and there in various threads. I actually bought an arcade stick a couple of weeks ago after using the 360 pad for a while, as it didn't quite cut it for me. Still getting used to it. S'yeah, that's it for me. Rock on guys.

Hey Guys, Name's Ray or you can call me Rei. I live on the East Coast of the US. I knew about Skullgirls for a Couple of Months last year. I wish i could've donated during the Indiegogo Campaign, but i wasn't able to T-T. Just like Felarine and Clockwork, I've also played the Touhou Fighting Games as well as the Bullet Hells too. Favorite Character there would be Rumia from Touhou 6. I bought Skullgirls for PC as well as Squigly about 2 weeks ago. I'm currently a Beginner in the awesome, cool fighting game known as Skullgirls. The Story, The Combos, the Blockbusters, everything is just so great. I'm glad to be part of this community as of today~ I play Ms. Fortune and Squigly. Sometimes Filla, but i really don't want to be known as that person who plays the easiest characters or something. I'm Nice and Friendly and hoping I could get some Tips about Skullgirls. I go by Mystix on Steam, so hopefully I can learn something from you guys when i come across ya'll. :)

I'm Mike Z, and I was also a band geek, although not by choice - I played baritone horn, was forced to learn piano when I was younger, and I have forgotten both. I regret nothing!

Im Q, a robot-cyborg-detective. I travel around the world solving crimes. Or am I the one causing them? Don’t know. I also don’t know who I really am, but I can fight well if I have time to charge back. I like to taunt, it helps me take more punish for some reason. Sometimes I blow up, but that doesn’t happens too often, I like Super Art 1 more. If you want to meet me, you have to do very well in Arcade Mode. I am unemployed at the moment because Capcom thinks I’m lame, but I have a new Big Buddy to hang out with. He likes musical instruments of all kind, loves Jazz & Blues and hates modern music. He can be a whole Big Band alone himself if he wants to, that’s awesome. Strangely, we dress ourselves almost exactly every day, but I guess that’s fate. Oh, and I think I’m an abomination. But I am in therapy about that matter.

My name is Chris, I’m 21 years old and I like to write funny nonsense on the internet. I come from Germany (no Nazi jokes please!) and play Skullgirls since release day. Funny about this is how bad I’m playing it. Sigh. I’m a happy backer of the Indiegogo-Campaign and love that it turned out so really well.

So yeah, I love almost every fighting game, played them since I was little, started with Tekken 3 and Battle Arena Toshinden on the Playstation, but also played Street Fighter 2 over a friend’s house.

Overall I’m bad at it, so if you want a challenge, pick someone else to fight. But I’m happy to be a part of the community nonetheless, and I play almost every day. I play Skullgirls on PC, so if there are European/German Players around, feel free to add me on Steam, I look for new players to fight with all the time. Of course players from other countries can add me as well, if they want someone to beat up I guess.

The only character I can play nearly solid is Big Band, so I will probably start playing online again when he’s done. If you have more (friendly) questions, feel free to write a PM.

Oh, and since this seems to be a trend: I never learned any instrument (except the damn flute which I had to learn in school) and I don’t regret it.

I wanted to play the Flute, but i never got the chance. I actually regret not doing extra music classes back in High School :(

I'm Mike Z, and I was also a band geek, although not by choice - I played baritone horn, was forced to learn piano when I was younger, and I have forgotten both. I regret nothing!

Really?
I played Baritone too, though I quit a couple years ago because my high school band directors were kind assholes.

Um, right, I'm Box, I played Baritone for 5 years, gave that up cause it was going nowhere and the previously mentioned assholitry, tried learning piano ut didn't get very far (I learned the Kirby March, but I probably couldn't do it anymore). I'm kinda new to fighting games, well really new, UMvC3 was my first actually, or at least the first I played with any sense of competitiveness, and I only really got into that because of Phoenix Wright. I've gotten decently good at Ultimate, but not at much anything else.
I dunno man, I like crossovers, making fan movesets for things, and long walks on the beach (that's not true actually, if I was on the beach I'd prefer to be in the water than on the sand, but whatever), generally I'm just kind of a stupid kid who doesn't know what he wants from life but hey, I like the video games so that's something, right?
I'm super psyched for Smash 4 and Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright, I think Project X Zone was a really cool game and I've recently been playing Resonance of Fate which is great but also incredibly difficult and probably severely underrated/overlooked because of it.

o: Good morning. My name's Lyra, though online I also respond a lot to the name Rae cuz it's an older username. I've been lurking a li'l bit since I wasn't sure how much I was gonna dedicate myself to this game but I think I'mma just go ahead and pipe up anyway.

At the moment, I've only got Skullgirls on the ps3, but waiting on the Encore drop has me all excited. I've had the game basically since release, so this is incredibly awesome. As far as fighting game experience goes, I'm pretty bad but I've played a ton of 'em since I was little (including those touhou ones and some really old as hell Sega CD ones like Eternal Champions ahaha).

Anyway!

You'll prolly find me around the Squigly or Ms. Fortune boards. <3 Hope to have fun here.

I've recently been playing Resonance of Fate which is great but also incredibly difficult and probably severely underrated/overlooked because of it.

Another thing I've heard is a lot of the people had problems with the story. :c That game is actually kinda fuckin' amazing but the story didn't make much of a big impact on a whole bunch of people. I've only done a smidge of it so far so I can't say for sure, though.

I want to learn the violin. All music sounds cooler when it's on a violin.

Fiddle isn't too hard to learn. Personally, I learned off the Suzuki Method series until around 14 or 15. It gives lots of the essential things that you need to learn for playing violin. If you want, I can send some of the stuff I had for learning music to you. I've still got a bit before my left hand's ligaments heal enough to play again, but I can at least give the information, if not examples.

Hello there,Kittens here. I've been lurking on this forum since it got resurrected, but until this year I never really had the courage to post.
My experience with fighting games is quite literally Soulcalibur III,a few hours of Tekken 5 and Skullgirls, and since this is the first of them I actually own I'm only slightly above beginner - and probably will stay that way since I only play against my friends on Xbox 360,considering I have no way of playing online. Not much since I'm really bad at games in general, though I'm at my best in plataformers.
Like a lot of people,I already knew about Skullgirls, but didn't pay enough attention until the Indiegogo campaign. Since my computer probably wouldn't handle the Steam version(it actually does, but it took until the free weekend for me to find that out,but I can't play it on keyboard for the life of me and I can't afford other means), I just picked up the Xbox 360 version.
And since everyone's been talking about that,I can't play any instruments, though I wish I had time to try some out. But that's for another day, considering I'm having hard enough of a time trying to get better at drawing.

Another thing I've heard is a lot of the people had problems with the story. :c That game is actually kinda fuckin' amazing but the story didn't make much of a big impact on a whole bunch of people. I've only done a smidge of it so far so I can't say for sure, though.

I thought the story was fantastic.
Well, sort of, there's actually like, background reading and pricing together, as the STORY story is just the day to day lives of the three main characters.
I think, I haven't finished the game yet so maybe it's more spelled out than I think.
But the story seems really cool from what I know.

Hey whats up my name is clumsy33. Most games I play are fighting and shmups games. Skullgirls is the main fighting game that I play, but I some times play ssf4. When it comes to shmups games, Touhou 9 is the main one I play.

Effay here. Started playing fighting games with Super Street Figther II Turbo HDRemix. Since then have played Blazblue CT and CS, SFIV (though I hate it), MvC3, and now Skullgirls. Bought the game when it first came out on 360 but didn't start playing it seriously until it came out on Steam. Looking forward to seeing you guys online, hopefully I'll be able to build a local scene too.

RE band: Played trumpet and french horn in middle/high school, and played mellophone in high school/college marching band.

hello all, little band speaking.

I positively love skullgirls and what it's done for me, me being a huge gamer, I always generally stuck to one part of the gaming spectrum, until a game came along that looked so cool I just had to get it. Skullgirls has gotten me into fighting games again, and 2d brawlers, as it's probably the first game I've been able to beat my (super amazing at fighting games) friends at. My only problem is Xbox's lack of updates. I know it's all too common that the PC is taken care of while the consoles fall into disrepair (looking at you team fortress 2) and since I don't have the PC port, I'm more than a little upset that there doesn't seem to be any immediate hope for updates. Squigly I can deal with not having, but when the characters I've been waiting for come? Big band and Beowulf would be my new dream team, maybe adding valentine in if I felt in the mood, and while I'm at least somewhat certain the developers won't let us down, my nails are still chewed all the way down in anxiousness. I can only hope and pray that I'll be able to play the sweet melodic beat(down)s of big band and bash skull(girl)s with my trusty chair as Beowulf. And now that I'm done pouring my heart out for you (hopefully) nice people, I'll take my leave. Thanks for reading everyone, and happy brawling!

Should have done this last week, but whatever.

I'm Superstar, been playing Skullgirls since it came out on Steam, so it's probably the only fighting game that made me more interested in other games, like Street Fighter. My teams are Fortune/Double, Peacock/Fortune on some occasions, and Doublecock if I'm in a trolling mood. When I'm not playing SG, I like to make fan palettes that I post on my tumblr(link in the sig), and draw and rant about random stuff (which I do a lot). But I am a pretty nice person once you get to know me, nice but blunt. =/

So yeah, I guess that's it. Nice to meet you guys.

RetroStation here, been playing since Squigly was first introduced. It's the only fighting game to date that I can play on a near-competitive level, and the community nothing short of amazing. Some of you may have run into me online when SG was first released on Steam, and I was a dedicated solo Squig. After an on-stream blowup, I switched over to teams. Squigly/Bella is my current team, but PW will make her way in once training's done. When I'm not playing SG, I'm either playing Phantasy Star Online 2, making chiptunes, or going through a bunch of other random games I have on Steam.

Looking forward to good games!

Hi I'm just some guy born on Feb. 14th who plays Valentine (and Bella). Not much to say after that.

My name is Julie.
I'm from Czech Republic and my English isn't the best.
I don't have any real friends, because everyone thinks I'm psychopath.
All I do is watching TV, playing video games, drawing, speaking, laughing or doing... Stuff...
My only love is Peacock AND I WILL MARRY HER BECAUSE SHE'S MY BEST IMAGINARY FRIEND AND I LOVE HER SO SO SOOO MUCH.
Have I mentioned that I don't have life?
