Robo Fortune
I havent played SG for a year and I am back\(^o^)/.I used to main fukua because Twerk recommended me that she is a really good character to start with. But now it seems that they nerfed it?Last time I played her she didnt have cooldown on her fireballs, I cant spam fireballs anymore? So she is not a zoner anymore I guess?
So my question is, is she still strong and beginner friendly?Should I keep playing her?Or should I play someone like parasoul which seems interesting too.I will be playing mostly solo until I learn the character really good.

She can still zone, she just can't do it all day nonstop. When you have an assist, it can be a little easier to zone. But the way that Fukua is good is all when she gets closer to the opponent. Her j.lp, j.hk air-to-air confirm is really good. Making them block/get hit by a shadow then running up and confirming/pressuring the opponent is a good tactic. All those nerfs mean is you have to be more creative, and actually learn how to use all of her tools as opposed to just her zoning.

If you want a zoner, Parasoul won't fair much better. She is good at spacing and setting up, but most of her dangerous stuff happens mid-close range. If you want to play a zoner, pick either Peacock or Robo Fortune (idk if Robo was here the last time you played).

I would say Fukua alone is okay, but with an assist that promotes lock down makes Fukua even stronger. In this case let's say Fierce Lazor Beam on Robo Kitty. I personally feel due to the changes on Fukua that she is a pressure mixup character that doing cross up resets off of launchers is her greatest strength after that once the player is on tilt mixing it up with a command grab will punish someone mashing out a super or something. Again she can do this alone it just a tad trickier and her stagger pressure would require her to be a bit more open after a block string.

So experiment, see if you like using an assist that does full lock down like Hair Ball or Beam or CereCopter, or an assist that just backs up Fukua like Lock 'n Load.

Thanks for the reply^^
Do you still play her as point character? If I want to play her with assists, which characters does she synergise well with?

Fukua: I don't play her much, but from observing people like Twerk and Dekillsage I can tell that Fukua is great at doing resets, especially if people are not watching their feet.

Robo Kitty: Eh... Her combos are not hard, they're just not as hard hitting as you would like em. Doing a BnB with out an assist with Robo Kitty will net her around 6.8k something like that. In the end Robo Kitty is kinda like Robo Ky from GG+R where she has a dust move and she has to manage her resources in her head drones. So she can make a land mine or a projectile that backs her up if she decides to rush in on her very fast dash, and for lock down she has hidden missiles all coming from her heads. For a Zoner Robo Kitty has great mobility, her dash is crazy fast and if she needs to get out of a situation she can super jump and press roundhouse and use it as an extra mobility tool (she turns into a helicopter)

Eh. They're easy enough, but they're a little weird at first. If you don't want to put down five for her, Skullgirls was just on sale for 75% off like 3 days ago, so Robo was like a dollar there. Just wait for another sale, they happen like once or twice a month.

No. The thing I hear a lot is "beaaaaaaaam". Here's her voice reel:

Also, if you missed Robo, you might have missed the alt announcer voices. Those are in the game.

Robo (HBeam assist) with Fukua (HDrill assist) is actually a very strong team.

You've been playing Twerk a lot recently. He makes that team work with his shenanigans, those c.lks and junk. So silly.

I think that team is strong because I fought SonicFox when he was playing it (He also had Eliza/Spiral in the lineup), actually. I thought it was strong before that too and thought about playing it, but fighting him showed me it was strong, and Twerk also proved it's very good, though it's seemingly not for him.
