For example, if bella does a super with 30 seconds left, the timer goes gray and counts down still, but if the time is at 2 seconds, the timer goes gray and stops at 1 until the end of the super or does it "TIME OUT" midway?

If I had to guess, it's because grab supers tend to be a bit more cinematic and slow compared to other supers.

EKG and Nightmare Legion obviously exist, but they have a lot of hits without too much time in-between hits. US has 4 negligible hits, a relatively long delay, and then one final hit. Fifth of December has a miniscule hit grab, a delay, and then a massive hit. It wouldn't be hard to murder a handful of small, fluffy animals if the final hit of US didn't go through and you lost the match because of it.

Yes it has happened to me a couple of times. It's normal.

Anytime the timer goes dim, it won't time out. It's intentional, and allows cinematic supers to actually be usable in the final seconds of a match.

I lost a match because robo grab super timed out right after the grab :(

Does that super dim the timer? If so, did it just not dim before the timeout?

It didn't dim but I thought it would because it's a grab and it takes forever until the damage

It's variable, is probably why. You don't have to do the throw part.

Meh, you're probably right. I just wish on the grab confirm, it would go gray.
