Yeah, but skipping on Kenshiro is like skipping out on Jojo characters. If this game is to celebrate 45 years of characters from Weekly Shounen Jump then you better not forget the ones that made themselves a household name in your industry.

dont you know how fanboys work? they'll only care about the one piece, dragonball and they'll say everything else is fluff.
 
I doubt they are done revealing characters (Playable or Support) when they just recently revealed Medaka and another support character. Most likely they are spreading out the character reveals to generate the hype until release.
 
I still say the online will be riddled with goku and luffy.

If this does plan to come out by the end of the year, like the originally planned it to, then we're gonna get a few more sets of rival and support characters. I have a feeling they're will be dlc characters on some of the most obvious choices.

I want Ultimo. So I can destroy Ultimo. With Joseph Joestar. That would make me happy and maybe even make me forgive Hiroyuki Takei.
 
I really hope they add Kenshiro because Fist of the North Star is one of my favorite Shonen Jump series. Also because I would like to do this in the game

Boa Hancock (One Piece)/Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach)/Chitoge Kirisaki (Nisekoi)/Lala Satalin Deviluke (To Love-Ru) Confirmed!

Boa Hancock will be a playable character while Rukia, Kirisaki, and Lala will be support characters.

Also, the game is set to come out on March 19, 2014.​

strength from her. (You can see her slapping the shit out of Vegeta)

Lala I imagine would use silliness from her inventions.
 
At least we're getting more female characters now. They have four and a half months till release which means this roster will be very good.

Tsunayoshi Sawada (along with Reborn) from Kakekyou Hitman Reborn! and Tatsumi Oga (along with Beel) from Beelzebub will be playable characters while, joining the roster of support characters are Gintama’s Kagura and Sadaharu.​

Kagura/Big Space Dog is gonna be staple assist if Sena from Eyeshield 21 doesn't come back.
 
Man, I hope we get Bobo-bo and Yugi for the best fusion attack possible. Kid Muscle and someone from Sket Dance would be awesome, too.
I hope this comes over, as importing isn't something I can do, so i'm fucked if it stays in Japan.

Himeko/Bossun/Switch (Sket Dance) & Tetsuya Kuroko (Kuroko’s Basketball‘s) Confirmed!

Sket Dance‘s Himeko, Bossun, and Switch, and Kuroko’s Basketball‘s Tetsuya Kuroko will be support characters in the upcoming fighter.

From far away, the Sket Dance team uses a pachinko attack. When near the opponent, Himeko will use a rampage attack. And Switch will also use his laptop to analyze the battle situation. Kuroko uses his misdirection technique to surprise the enemy.​

Oh sweet Sket Dance trio (Aka Gintama school life) and finally someone to rep the sports genre gets added into the pit. Wonder if Yugi and Sena weill get added too.
 
I would rather have Sakuragi added over Sena.

I would definitely would have preferred Sakuragi (iconic sports manga character) over a relatively greenhorn character like Kuroko to rep basketball (face it Kuroko spot was secure since his manga/anime been recently really popular), but having a 2nd basketball centric person as a support character would feel redundant.

Especially when there are different sport Jump manga protagonists like Football player Sena (Eyeshield 21), Tennis player Ryoma ( Prince of Tennis), and soccer player Sho (Whistle!) that can be added for variety sakes.

That said though there is plenty of time left for more reveals and so far been very satisfied with the playable/support selection. They branched out of using only battle manga characters and expanded to Comedy, Ecchi, and Sports which is a +. From the trailers/screenshots they seem to be true to source material. They could add more of the older Jump characters though is my only criticism.

dude, sakuragi is known for more than just his basketball skills. dat headbutt yo

And I would vastly prefer characters from similar sports franchises over ANYONE from Prince of Tennis.

YES, all 3 main Sket Dance characters are in, but DAMMIT, they're a Support.

Shows what I know about sports manga, I thought Kuroko was from Slam Dunk at first.

Jonathan Joestar and Joseph Joestar, of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fame, and Meisuke Nueno, from Jigoku Sensei Nube, will be playable.

Hironobu Kageyama, Akira Kushida, and Hiroshi Kitadani will sing the game’s theme song, “Fighting Stars.”

Consumers who pre-order the game will receive the J-Stars Victory Book, a Jump Comics book filled with information and visuals of Jump characters.​

When's Killua, Don Patch and Kagura(Gintama)? When's more One Piece characters?
 
Joseph and Johnathan being a playable character in this now makes more sufficiently interested in getting this. Well I was already interested in getting this but now this is enough for me to want this.

Kagura/Sudoharu was already confirmed as an assist character.
