Kinda wish they'd announce SG on the site soon.

Skullgirls will have sign ups at the door and you can pay for venue fee online($30). Come through guys!
 
To be honest, I don't feel like traveling up North for both NEC and Apex.

Whichever one has the most SG players will probably be the one I go to.

If there were 2 months between nec and apex that would be a little different but I'm expecting asvab to start around that time.
 
I want there to be a good turnout at Apex for two main reasons:

1. Having asked to be given a spot there, it will look kinda bad if we don't get enough people turn up for a decent tournament to be run, and
2. Apex is a tournament that had a large Smash turnout, and this is probably our biggest chance to make an impression on that community now that it looks like Genesis is no more. At NEC it would just be around 'mainstream' FGC guys, who have probably already made their minds up about SG one way or another.

That said, NEC has a lot to recommend itself as well, so if people decide that that's a better proposition for them then that's cool. But if it seems like I'm promoting Apex a little more heavily in the coming months, that's why.

EDIT: @keninblack, Any idea when you'll know if you will/won't be making it? I think alex_strife wanted to get in touch with whoever was going to be in charge,

No idea yet, I'll bring it up with my Dad asap though and see whats up. Sorry that I can't say anything more than that :(
 
That's cool. It's always difficult to know what's happening so far in the future.
 
I'm still going and can organize stuff if Ken can't. It's just getting names, making sure people are playing, and getting stuff set up on time, right?

Saturday would be a much better day.
 
I would very much prefer sg being on saturday so everyone can be there.

I spoke with Alex Strife. It can be ran on Saturday IF we provide our own equipment. I SHOULD be coming with my laptop+external monitor if we're using PC.

Any idea what entry will be? I plan on entering. o3o

Thank you for getting in contact with him, the sites down so I couldn't find any contact.

Saturdays fine, we'll bring the setups no problem. If console patch is out by then, i'll bring a PS3, if not, I'll bring a PC so we'll be good.

$10 if possible.

Yeah guaranteed setups is always good, and I'll figure out a time once an official schedule is out so we can try to avoid being on the same with as many games as possible.
 
I have a laptop with SG and an Avermedia LGP. I can record two set ups simultaneously for those interested

I need to know when this event is , when you will start, and who is running it.

Be advised side games = you have to bring your own SETUPS

Sign ups are done by the TOs not Apex staff

@keninblack (in case you didn't have the thread watched or something)

Throwing in my 2 cents, but looking at the schedule, maybe 3PM would be a good time? If we're going on Saturday, that seems to be the least amount of other finals going on (except for 5PM, but that seems a little too close to the other finals). Don't want to compete with Smash finals at a Smash event.

I'ma figure out of I'm going in the next few days, if I do go I'll run it, but having someone who is guaranteed to go to run it would be cool, but I'll probably make it.

3PM seems fine.

How are we doing on setups? Should I bring mine?
 
I'll bring mine, having yours would be swell. We only need like 3-4 but they all need to run well.
 
Alright. I think I will plan to bring mine if only because we know it runs the game well without problems. If anyone played on my setup at NEC and had a problem with lag or something else, now would be a good time to tell me so I can try to have it resolved before the tournament in 10 days.
 
Just give me 30 seconds to learn the barrel loop timing on each set up before I play and I'm straight.
