Japan's views on the characters populairty (NOT GAMEPLAY)

Whenever I hear "buta" (Japanese for pig) it's usually not in a positive tone.

I assumed pig was a negative word in Japan because of Satsuki's trademark quote "PIGS IN HUMAN CLOTHING".
the word pig was used in anime long before Satsuki did.

for all we know, the use of "chan" could also refer to little as well.
so they could be calling her a little pig, or, piglet.

You do have a point there.

This isn't a thread on social politics though and it was derailing the thread.
I put it in spoilers and noted that the reply was for you for a reason.
I then continued to post about minette, which was to my knowledge the current topic at the time.
Heck, I even said that it probably went on too long
But these conversations have gone on a tadpole to long

All the Filia talk made me think about what defines her characters.

Then I saw this art by Alex posted in the Violet thread

Obviously she needs to play up those Satsuki eyebrows.

Oh please. Even Satsuki was late to the eyebrows game.
You'll never get more of an eyebrow character than the penguin from Gundam Wing AKA Dorothy.

Thankfully I know a few Japanese people that see the beauty in Filia and Cerbella :P (Butts bring us together)

Wait a minute, is she reading a BeowulfxTaliesan romance novel?

At least we got it right when we called her the trash can girl.

I like fat asses and I cannot lie.

But it is unfair to say fat asses bring us together and then just show Filia and Cerebella when Squigly's fat ass is fatter than both of em'

Continuing on my last post on this thread,I have seen a few times where the artist I was talking about drew Fuuka as a blowfish..

That'd be Nyoro. She's a cool lady!

Yep,That's her,And I agree,she is a pretty cool lady!
I do notice that she does have a few japanese fans,So I'll check if they have a favorite character

So, do you guys know why japan likes peacock that much? Is it becouse of the story and marie or becouse shes an american cartoon?

>Loli
>Tragic Backstory
>Cool Powers
>Friend is trying to get revenge for them
>Forced to deal with her friend
Bonus points for PeacockxMarie being very shippable

Change loli to Oppai Girl and this is practically 60+% of every shounen action manga with a female MC.

Don't forget she is visually based off old, american cartoons,
because japanese people just love those kooky americans, with their strange culture and strangly drawn animes.

My favorite anime is Cory In The House.

But yeah the god father of manga and/or anime is actually a big fan of Donald Duck.

Tezuka was heavily inspired by Disney in general. Sometimes you'd even see caricatures of Mickey Mouse hanging out in the crowds in his panels. "Manga style," or whatever people want to call it, has always been a mixture of Western and Eastern influences.

Heck, if you go back far enough, all of this stuff is just really flashy Egyptian hieroglyphs anyway.

See, this is why Eliza reigns supreme...

Any word on what they think of Double? 'Cause, well, tentacles. And weird semi-Christian symbolism. And tentacles.
