Just adding to this, King Crimson has had something like 20 musicians over time, it basically reforms as a new band with a new style of prog every so many years since 1968, Robert Fripp has been the only person in every line up.

He's also just a pretty great guitarist in his own right. Most people don't like Lizard or its specific line up but Fripp's solo near the end of Cirkus is fantastic and my usual go to example.

So I'm reading part 8 and I just gotta say, I hope Joshu either has a really really good redemption story, or a very emotional sacrificial death scene. Either way, i hope he becomes more of a protagonist than he currently is, where he's more of a... asstagonsit.
 
Tbh, Joshu on a surface level is a piece of shit, but then you see his circumstances, you'll be like "now this doesn't excuse your behavior, but, I can't really entirely blame you for it."

I mean, I'd rather have a good Jojo game, but ASB 2 is acceptable.

EoH was a piece of shit, if t hey just gave ASB a stable framerate, added those characters and a couple stages and called it a new game I would have been far happier.

Catch the Rainbow is suuuuuuch a cool Stand. Blackmore had like a in-universe day of screentime though.

some additions to consider from each part

Part 1: Speedwagon with a good moveset, Bruford & Tarkus (Bruford and Yukako can braid each other's hair), Wang Chun feat. Severed Head of Dio, Danny, Burning Danny
Part 2: Santana? Wired Beck? That Random Desert Nazi? Okay part 2 might be tapped
Part 3: Mostly tapped, Midler because I want my heritage main back you fuckers, Anubis too?
Part 4: Highway Star and Mikitaka are all I can manage, Superfly stage
Part 5: the dopp, Metallica, maybe Green Day and Oasis as a pair, add crashing plane feat. Notorious Big as a stage
Part 6: GIMME DUH FOOF GIVE IT, merge poochie back into one slot so I can check dat baby like it's my cellphone, uuuuuuuuh maybe one of Dio Spawn idk, Bohemian Rhapsody as a stage at least
Part 7: Hot Pants, Ringo, Blackmore, Soundman
Part 8: give gappy an updated moveset, Yasuho, Nijimura, Yagiyama, Kira, maaaaybe Damo or Hato but that's realllly reaching
Other: BRING BACK BAOH, add Gorgeous Irene too

Part 7 has a lot of untapped potential. Mountain Tim, Wekapipo, and maybe my boy.

Give him the goofiest moveset and some sort of luck meter.
 
You could do fun things with Mike Oldfield as a zoner if you got creative. He could do traps like Testament.

You could also do really cool stage hazards with him. A part 6 stage in solitary with Survivor as the stage hazard would be cool. A part 6 stage where you're tiny because of the green baby would also be cool.

Part 6 has a lot of great stage potential and it just gets shafted.
 
real talk: Mountain Tim is the grappler we need in a JoJo fighter.
 
maybe it'll come to the switch so I can have Jojo fights on the go

And if they run out of characters eventually I was hoping they'd just BS it and like, have a plot kinda like EOH except the time shenanigans have consequences. I.E. Suzi Q coming out with crazy good Hamon or that baby from Stardust Crusaders coming in with a requiem stand haha
