We'll be taking on-site registration for $15, but if you didn't register for EVO you are screwed.

POOL SCHEDULE IS HERE

The tournament will be held on the current console build (the Fukua patch). There will be setups with Eliza playable for people to enjoy after they've been knocked out of the tourney like scrubs. :3

Pools will take place on Friday, July 11th from 10:00AM.

Following a short break after pools, Top 32 will play through to Top 16 from 7:00PM on Friday night.

Top 16 will take place on Saturday, July 12th at 1:00PM Pacific at the Mad Catz booth on their enormous stage, and will be streamed on their official channel twitch.tv/madcatz !!! Please shower @madcatz and @markman23 will lots of love on twitter for accommodating us!


Autumn Games is donating $2500 to the tournament prize pot!
Lab Zero Games is donating $2500 to the tournament prize pot!
Which means on top of the payout from entry fees,
the payout for top 16 will be over $5000.

Exact payout structure for top 16 is still TBA.

Lab Zero Games wants you to know that the $2500 donated on their part was obtained from Eighty Sixed merchandise proceeds, and not from the Indiegogo campaign money. As such, the donation won't cut into their development funds for Eliza/Beowulf/Robo-Fortune. Big thanks to Eighty Sixed and THE COMMUNITY for making that possible.

Tournament Rules:
- Don't be late.
- Don't talk back.
- Report your win! Don't assume anyone was watching, and don't assume the loser will be honest about telling us you won.
- If you are in a pool or bracket and have not yet been eliminated STAY THERE.
- If you MUST leave, TELL THE ORGANIZERS. If we cannot find you within a reasonable amount of time, likesay five minutes, you will be given a loss.
- Matches are 2/3, played on PS3 unless you and your opponent both agree to play on something else. Poker is not an acceptable substitute.
- Wireless controllers are allowed but it is strongly recommend that you remove the battery; if you interrupt another match you WILL be disqualified. If a match is interrupted and we cannot find the culprit, wireless controllers will be BANNED FOR EVERYONE from that point onward unless they have their batteries removed. Don't mess it up for everyone else. Yes, this happened before.
- Bring us donuts, water, or other consumables that will help keep us going. Hopefully we won't need Phoenix Downs.
- Any attempt at witty responses to these rules will result in your immediate disqualification and the forfeiture of your entry fee.

Maybe if we stun them with 300 entrants, they'll give us something for top 8 or whatever. Either way, we should bring down the goddamn house wherever we hold the finals.

So far I've only been approached by HBTwilightStorm for a stream. I'm sure the commentary seats are open to whoever wants to be on it. I'll ask him if he wants to do it on his own channel or if he's cool with doing it on either /eightysixed or /labzero.

@MegamanDS - Did you have some sort of plans as far as an EVO stream goes? Were you guys going to have your own thing going, or were you hoping we would use the /eightysixed channel?

You don't really have to worry about it. The Skullgirls tourney is a side thing, so EVO doesn't care if you enter, and the only reason we ask is because it helps us know whether or not a player will be SUPER BUSY that day. We're also curious what other tournaments people are entering, just to get an idea what kind of overlap there is with Skullgirls and other games.

I would love to stream it on the Eighty Sixed channel if possible (if that's cool with LZ). The number 1 issue is internet. As far as I know, we are not allowed to use the internet SRK buys for evo because it will use their bandwith and SG is not an EVO game so I doubt they would even let us use it. If there is some way to confirm that we have internet suitable for streaming, I will bring my equipment like we did at the SG Expo.

Worst case scenario, I can record the top 8 matches and upload it to youtube.

SG isn't a main game because SG tournament attendance hasn't been good. So really it's the SG community that made SG not a main game.

I'm telling you right now, I will cancel this fuckin' tournament if we start arguing over why SG isn't a main EVO game. Stop it right now. I'll turn this tournament RIGHT AROUND.

Also Worldjem got a 60 FPS mid/HQ stream with a mic from his laptop using a wifi signal broadcasted from his phone.
It sounds poverty as hell but we wouldn't be taking their internet if they don't give us a stream.
Just an idea at least, heh.
