4pm Street Fighter III Third Strike (Arcade) $5
4pm Mortal Kombat X (PS4) $10

$5 venue fee!


All tournaments are Double Elimination
1st 60%
2nd 30%
3rd 10%
of prize pool.

If less than 8 players show up for any game it will be a Round Robin Tournament. Top 2 Players will be put into Grand Finals and payouts will be 70% 1st 30% 2nd

@coldo - come to this if you're around that Saturday, even if you don't feel like playing in the tourney. Meet the guys, play some casuals, etc... I can drive us to/from

@mcpeanuts - should I bring my PS3 for this? ppl were complaining about lag on Friday, which is pretty understandable when all the other setups are PS4

Hmm, that's a good question. Well, I definitely want every tournament setup to be on the same console, I don't want people going back and forth between two different versions of the game. I also would prefer that one console to be PS4, since the game runs smoother and it's easier to stream on that version. If anyone prefers PS3, though, please let me know. I'm open to reconsidering if a lot of people feel strongly about it.
 
tbh I didn't notice a big different between ps4 and ps3? but I had a warmup game on ps4 so maybe that got me used to it I dunno, but I don't have a preference either way

I don't know if it was just me but some of the PS3s were lagging for some unknown reason on Friday. I noticed it in my set with deer. The ps4 version again varied depending on which one I was playing on.

ALSO I can't make this weekend my buddy is up in NYC from VA (no it's not keninblack)
So I'm gonna have to pass. Hope you guys don't have too much fun without me there

Also, since I'm coming out, I have a PS4 and a monitor. Do you guys need them? The PS4 also has Xrd and MKX on it.

Yeah, nothing bad happened. It just turns out my mother's 55th class reunion is this weekend, some people she hasn't seen in literally decades are going, and so she needs me to dog sit.
 
Ayo this was a lot of fun. Even though a handful of dudes ended up not making it the turnout was solid (we didn't have to round robin) so I'm happy.

Also I just opened up the VOD and it seems like the laptop mic was being captured instead of the other mics? Or there was something weird going on with the mics.

Aw man. I had that problem last week, but I thought I fixed it. Are the VODs watchable at all?

Yes they're super watchable. The 2nd commentary person is always very quiet in comparison and it sounds kinda tinny but it's watchable. It's also a bummer that the scoreboard has "Uzumakihero" and "McPeanuts" burnt into it forever...
