Friday Tournament Schedule:

Doors open at 10AM for Casuals. Badge Pickup Starts Thursday from 7pm until 9 pm and then Friday morning at 9 am all day.

Any announced official Team Tournaments or Official Tournaments with 32 pre-regs or less will be begin at 2 pm EST as well as Side Tournaments Announced in advance

8 PM - FIGHTERMANIA II Exhibition Event

Doors Close at Midnight

SGE registrations will be handled by me. I'll take them as early as I arrive, but I aim to arrive at noon. I'll be tournament staff and the rest of the staff know me, so I'll be very easy to find! If you are playing another game, give me your cell number so I can text you when your matches come up.

If you are competing in a side tournament, they will start at 1pm.
If you are competing in Skullgirls Encore, we will start at 3pm.

Look for the giant-ass Pikachu wallscroll. That's where we are.

Fees:
Early Bird Registration ($35) - Until April 7th

Normal Registration ($45) – From April 8th until June 21st. After June 21st Online Registration will be closed. Pools will be posted online by Wednesday June 25th on ceogaming.org.

Emergency Registration ($60) – At the event during Emergency Registration Hours only (Thursday June 26th, 6pm to 9pm, and Friday June 27th, 10am to 1:30pm unless otherwise noted for tournaments that do not begin until Saturday then Emergency registration will remain open throughout Friday). There are no Saturday Signups for ANY of the 11 official Tournaments. Only tournaments that have available byes will allow emergency registrants to enter, and only before a tournament’s first pools start, as the brackets will already be made at this time. You cannot and will not be regionally or skill seeded if you are an emergency registrant. Avoid this option at all costs.

This Year Spectators will have 3 choices:
-$25 entire weekend pass that comes with the badge and a bag while supplies last
-$20 for Saturday and Sunday with just a badge
-Single day spectator wristbands can be purchased for $10 per day.

If you are only competing in SGE, you only need a Spectator badge, and only for Friday. I recommend at least staying for the festivities on Saturday and Sunday, as the tournament is usually a blast!

Pot Fee for SGE: $10

Streaming COULD happen if we had 4G access. Do you have 4G access? Hit me up and let's work something out!

Tournament Rules:

The game will be played on PS3, Encore v.Fukua unless another patch comes out by then, which none should.
Bring your own controller! It'll likely be possible to borrow a stick or pad, but the moment the bracket is held up a time limit will be enforced before a loss is issued.
Sets will be 2/3, Double Elimination. If there are 64 players or more, Top 8 will be 3/5. If there are less than 64 players, only Winner's Finals, Loser's Finals, and Grand Finals will be 3/5. If there are less than 32 players, there will be no pools.
Payouts will be identical to UFGT. <64 players - Top 3 60/25/15. ≥64 players - Top 8 pays out 50/20/13/7/3/3/2/2.
Try to avoid button checks, guys. Let's set an example for the other games. That shit's unnecessary in SGE.

That's it! Let's have a lot of fun, make some money maybe, and talk a lot of shit at each other! However, please don't forget the most important rule: Don't be a Skullfan. Also there's a 24-hour pool with hot tubs, so we should totally put that shit on lock.

If we do it on PC, I can stream, can we do it on PC though, it would be more convenient since it allows all controllers, Xbox, and Ps3 ones

I'll float the request, but it depends on whether or not equipment will be provided. Also, getting certain PS3 controllers to work on PC requires that the PC in question be specifically outfitted for it, which was kind of an issue at NEC. It doesn't help that PS3 is supposed to be the "standard" version of the game.

Honestly, it hinges primarily on (A) how different the PC version is, (B) if we get to use CEO equipment, and (C) how many people we're expecting. I can run a 32-man tournament on 4 setups in really short time if I disallow button checks like at CEO Prologue, especially since the main stuff will be the day afterward and presumably not abducting my players, but I'm not going to push it. People get salty when they lose on weird shit, and ramshackle computers/certain laptops count as "weird shit." (See: People complaining about a possible single frame of lag when they lost while fighting on a Microsoft Surface Pro at the last major that used PC)

How would you guys feel about a new player coming to spectate and support the game? I could probably make it there, since I'm about a 3~ hour drive away.

Sounds like fun.

After talking with Jebailey, he eventually got around to saying that he'll fix the page with full side tournament info soon.

Of course, that also means that we're likely bringing our own equipment. I'm again at the point where I don't want to give this guy money.

even if you are still a noob I would still reccomend you play, its a good way to get better and be a part of the community.
is Jebailey really that rude though? I asked him on Smashboards to see if we could have a side tourney recently and he just responded saying yes with no problems

I will more than likely be showing up so u can count one more at least.

Of course I'll be there!

And anyone who thinks Jebailey is rude simply doesn't get it. He's a great tournament organizer and has been a good friend for years. He even came to me himself and told me he was sorry that he couldn't run Skullgirls this year.

I've been friends with Jebailey for 15 years and I think I know when the guy's being rude.

It looks like, one way or another, we'll be relegated to Friday for better or for worse. I'm sure I could probably swing Finals on Saturday if there's demand. Is there demand?

idk maybe we should try and contact a news writer and have them post stuff on the front page of SH asking people to come

Definitely. People should at least know it's happening. And if we can stream people should be able to watch and give support.

Oh, hey! Big Band hit consoles so now I don't have to stress out about which version to run anymore....

Except for fucking Fukua GOD DAMN IT

I see no reason to have a quarrel with it. You should just make sure it works with no issues, so you don't have to end up using a controller you're not used to (e.g., a PS3 pad or arcade stick.)

It'll be on PS3 (as will Evo). Mayflash adapters historically have worked, although nowadays most people just use Dual-modded PCBs.

Well, that CEO trailer hit and sad to see SG not in sight.

Im getting a room for myself for sure. Anyone else is welcome to crash in it. Just let me know if anyone needs a room to crash in.

I just got the PS3 version of this game for PSN+. Does anybody notice any input lag or change in timing for the PS3 port? I cant hit anything on PS3 but I went back to PC and my timing was fine. And no its not my TV, that has been tested thoroughly.

I'll be at CEO again this year. I'll try to get in some SG action, even though I'm so bad at it now compared to last year, lol. Is SG still confirmed for 2pm Friday? Looks like there's going to be some overlap with the recently announced Persona side tourney for me: http://www.ceogaming.org/blog/36-blog/208-p4aceo2014

oh is it really overlapping? darn I wanted to do both, would it be possible to do both?

Are you fucking kidding me?!

I'll push SGE. It's not like anybody in charge actually gives a shit about us. The other side games start at 1pm. We can start whenever, so how does 3pm sound? I'll change the OP once a consensus is reached.

yah I was entering P4A so 3PM is a much better time

Man who is coming to this? Im not expecting 65 entrants, but the boy wants to play.

Id say a solid ~25-30.

MastaCJ and Zero E. Lopez are pretty much guaranteed off the top of my head. Fuck only knows if Chris G or Justin are gonna enter.

fuck them
whats duck and winnie and pat and peanuts and taluda and ncv and zidi and blah blah blah blah

A lot (all, I'm pretty sure) of those people decided to skip CEO when Jebailey announced that SGE was being taken off the roster 5 months ago in favor of majors that actually support the game.

Yeah I would have definitely gone if it was a main game and I would have brought like 3-4 New England people with me, you can tell Jebailey that if you want.

Was it a main game last year?

It was planned to be, but because it didn't get the minimum entrants, it got bumped down to an official side tourney that ran on Friday.

Weren't we bumped down because we didn't have enough entrants last year?

Let's solve that by having entrants this year?

A solid 30 will please me.
