I've been playing this game casually with friends, and now I've decided to improve more not only for the sake of showing off, but play against more skilled players without getting discouraged. I know a chunk of good information (push block, mix-ups, etc.) all thanks to the tutorials and some of the threads I've seen on Skullheart. I may not have the ability to post something everyday due to college and other personal matters. Regardless, I'll post my progress with certain characters and list off some combos I've made.

The only thing I feel like I need to do more of is practice combos and neutral game. If I can find a decent, free recording program, it'll help a lot to show you what I need to improve on. Critiques and tips would be grand. To start off, I started to mess around with Painwheel and made a beginner for a combo:

s.LP, s.LK, s.MP, j.LP, j.MP

Might work if I add qcf.K? Still kinda getting used to how she moves and all.

Practicing with Ms. Fortune, since I figured I could learn a few combos and how to place her head properly. Here's what I made up with her head on so far because bleh:
s.lp, c.lp, c.lk, c.mp, c.hp, j.lp. (midscreen)

I might of messed up on a few things; better than nothing I suppose. Going to do a few matches with someone I know for a while.

Unfortunately getting my ass kicked right now. Not sure what to do.

You can start by giving more details about how you are getting your ass kicked so we can both reflect on what you could have done differently ^,^

Ahh, goodness. Was gonna delete this one, but might as well answer. Hard to explain since I would of record matches so it'd be easier to see what I'm doing wrong.
I know how to block and get the concept of stringing combos (though, can't fully end a simple BnB). When I was training with someone last night, they mentioned that I was too defensive and need to put on pressure (especially with Ms. Fortune). I also end up using my assist at a wrong time.

Oh, so someone already gave you advice. That's good to hear. The advice sounds pretty good too. Keep up the good work then!

Made up a Fukua BnB.

s.lp, s.lp, s.lk, s.mk, s.hp, j.lp, j.lk, j.mp, j.hk, qcf.hk, qcf.PP

Does around 3.8-4k damage (depending on which variation of qcf.k you use; still having troubles pulling it off, but I found out it IS possible to use qcf.k in a middle of a string after landing. I'm hoping I can pull this off with enough effort. In the mean time, I'm looking for a free recording program so I can show you my recordings of fights and combos. You know, all that good stuff.

Use OSB homie!
What's an OSB, if you don't mind telling me? I've tried looking for the term on google, but nothing came up. Probably because my google-fu is rusty.

Oh man I messed that up, should be OBS.

I just downloaded the program, and it works perfectly on my end! Might have to change a few settings so it runs smoothly, but other than that, I can NOW show proof of how scrubby I am. Still have to work on converting the files here. I know I'll get them down in no time; and I'm also excited to record some live matches with friends and other folks on lobbies!

Here it is! Finally got to record, and it looks terrible. At least I'm glad I got the combo down, and even recorded some happy accidents, which I'll post later tonight!
