If you missed out on Salty! this past weekend, your benevolent programmer, Mike "Mike Z" Zaimont revealed and showed off Beowulf's hype mechanic and how to body slam opponents on his chair.

Salty! Beta Update Showcase

Listening to the crowd by holding standing Light Punch, dropping the mic by holding and releasing standing Medium Punch and performing his Wulf Howl taunt will build up the "hype" which is displayed by pyrotechnics and confetti, maximum 3 levels of hype. This let's you chain an extra throw during Alpha Maul and Wulfamania after a Diving Wulfdog and Wulf Press Slam.

After placing Beowulf's chair, performing a slam while by it will now add extra damage to the slam and give the chair back to Beowulf.

@TheGamaniac has been to lab and released a video with his time with Beowulf and his latest changes, really showing off Beowulf coming together.

Got some more solo combos and shenanigans i've cooked up with the new chainthrowing. Includes another around-the-world combo, the best damage i've got so far off a non-counterhit, and a combo that builds an entire hype level to spend (or not).

Wait, has this patch come out? I haven't gotten a patch for the Endless Beta in a long time. And I've been checking every morning.

Strange. Didn't download it seems...

Ah well. I'll get it working. Looking forward to this stuff. Not the biggest fan of the confetti, but I guess it's better than another meter.

edit: Got it working! Strange it didn't say it downloaded.

Loving how B-Dawg feels. So much better. And those hype-grabs are awesome as hell.

Oh god yes chain throws.

Wulfamania to Diving Wulfdog to Wulf Press Slam then... mmm, okay. Excessive Wulf'ing got me a bit sick, still good though. Hype continues to build for inevitable release, yeah.

More excited about Peacock being able to teleport behind while assists are out.
