Magma's quest to learn his waifu (and others).

dreamepitaph is right; your solo is very passive in comparison to my team, and i recently picked my parasoul trio back up. the consistency in which you execute deflector is very finnicky. in fact, i strongly recommend deflecting in training for practice until you don't have to stutter to make it come out.

i think a tumble run into kanchou feint followed by an ultimate showstopper would have stopped me from zoning, because at some point, i started autopiloting and just called double to keep you at bay.

SIDE NOTE: keep in mind that though tumble might go through one napalm shot, if you do not take care to >advance and block<, double's bomber will knock you away.

he's definitely right that i eventually got a hold of your deflector rhythm. at some points, i would just toss and wait for the tear to go off. in all honesty, in some matches you didn't really get to play my parasoul unless i pinned you in the corner and you caught me with a c.lk.

major major point
do not excellebella in the middle of the screen and dynamo on a full-health trio character, it's a waste of bar

the only occasion where you dynamo'd mid-screen and i was okay with it was when you caught hold of my low-health bella and knocked her out, that was fine.
but on my parasoul?
nononononon
do not
do it
mcpeanuts told me a long time ago that he doesn't feel threatened by a bella who nonchalantly uses bar because it's not like they can mash out of his combos, and to this day, his words have held true.
i was not threatened by your bella.
bar conservation needs work.

dreamepitaph also pointed out that you need to learn runstop resets and etc., which is very true. i don't recall you purposely resetting me at all while i could reset you all day.
if you can get into a groove and start up a bella vortex, a single trio character can die within seconds.
i feel at the moment that you're too focused on the standard BnBs and not enough on your reset and neutral options.
so, i suppose i'd recommend getting a better feel for bella's normals.

your parasoul, to be brutally honest, needs A LOT of work. i haven't seen much of how you play her, so i don't even know if you have a BnB. all you'd do was poke me occasionally and go into the c.lk c.mk chain without actually getting anything out of it.

i can definitely show you some basic parasoul stuff if you'd let me.

overall, you've improved greatly with your bella combo from what it initially was, but your parasoul is not strong enough to quite stand against my team.
i want you to improve to the point that you have to knock me down to my anchor.
if you can get good enough to force me to actually use double, then i'll give you props, but until then, you have to practice, practice, practice.

i hope this set was beneficial in some way to you.

I do have 1 question though. what do you recommend I do after landing Exacabella? Or do I just let the opponent fly?

This may sound REALLY stupid but:

How does one run stop as Bella?

What benefit does runstoping accomplish and why should I do it?

It greatly reduces the recovery of some normals allowing for some links and making a lot of stuff safe, for example, s.hp is +1 on hit if you don't runstop and +12 if you runstop, you can link anything that has less than 12f of startup.

What's the best way to runstop? I'm trying to practice it with just basic combos but I can never seem to pull it off.

I just do charge HK~LK, but you can get runstop in the first frame possible if you hold LK while you do tumble run.

Oh thats right I have one of these....

So newest frustration here Lnl. God dammit I hate misinputs of LNL.

So the dealio is this every time I try to grab, every time I swear I do a snap, every time I try to dragon punch input. LNL

It only happens when actually fighting I can do it flawlessly in training mode but in actually matches Ive gotten worse and its driving me up the wall.
What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it. Also on to my other trouble PBGC.

So im going to be completely honest I didn't know what exactly a PBGC was until recently. and I lock up when traped into a corner to do a PBGC, I do push block and try to follow it up with an ultimate showstopper, diamond drop, or merry-go-rilla but heres the problem once again..Lnl

Its my fault I'll admit that for the misiputs but for things like PBGC I cant really practice it because I don't know any combos that would be effective in blocking into PBGC. I'm 302 hours in and its embarrassing that I only know one character and one BNB, Ive been trying to learn another one (midscren kanchou) bu its been taking longer than I hoped and I really want to learn parasoul already.

And my last final question is "how" should I go about learning parasoul? Yeah theres the BNB I can work on but is there anything else I should work on when trying to learn Parasoul?

And finally Im sorry that I haven't posted any videos showing my problems its simply because Im at a "block" with traning and the things I can do in traning I have a horrible time doing in matches (LNL misinputs again.)

Can anyone help please?

I assume for your DP motions you do :QCF:? You should make sure that you aren't starting the qcf from back or downback as doing a half circle will cause you to get the qcf motion instead of DP. Not sure how you could get LnL when doing MGR though (also, why would you PBGC MGR? It isn't invincible or very fast).

If you want to practice PBGC then you can set Bella to do dynamo or have Fukua do H Drill, Fireball and practice PBGCing that. The timing will vary on the blockstring so whenever you see something that you want to try and learn to PBGC, note it down and practice it later.

Ok so i finally got the runstop Bnb down but I want to learn Cerebella resets. problem is i dont know any that could help me or how to train them or even where I can use them in my combos. Is there any advice you guys can give me?

Did some matches with Donavan. What do you guys recommend I can fix up.

No responses til now- well, watched the whole thing, and while I'm not a Bella master here, figured I'd start.

Maybe use Dynamo more, especially after D.Drop, since some matches you end w/a lot of unused meter.
And use it the end of your combo if you can.

Careful of flowcharting into blocked cHP. Following up w/D.Drop worked out at times, but someone else might go for a big punish after that.

We played at least once in PS3 Skullbats, so if you want a specific matchup or we're in similar regions for good connection (what part of the US is M.Tower XD), let me know & we can play on the weekend. Keep it up!

Sooo...I'm picking up Filia now.

have no idea how she works going to lab some Bnb's with her but is there an tips you guys have when it comes to play filia

as for my goal checklist now its

1. Learn setplay and grasp a better prediction
2. Improve my neutral with Bella
3. Learn more resets for Bella
4. Learn Filia basics and Bnb.
