Welcome to the Marvel vs. Thread! here you can post anything related to the old Marvel Fighting games, be it Children of the Atom, X-Mex vs StreetFighter, Marvel Super Heros, The vs Trilogy!

Videos will be separated by game and whether or not it is a combo/tech video or a match video. Spoilers that have the "✦" symbol in them means that Spoiler has a video inside of it. This should save people time trying to dig thru all of these spoilers trying to look for their character only to find that there has been no videos posted for em in that game. If you like we can also organize FightCade Tourneys here as well if there is enough interest.

This game is just a melting pot of crazy; therefor I shall treat it as such when organizing it here. Let's face it, I am not organizing this by character and by tech/match it will just take too much time and too much space. SO! THIS WILL BE A DUMPING GROUND!

Are we talking MVC1, or not-mvc3 since there's already a thread (?), or all Marvel?

MVC2 is one of my top 5 fave games of all time. X-Men Vs Street Fighter and MSH are good too. Not as much of a fan of mvc1 but it's fun. MshVsSf and MVC3 make me want to stab my brain with a q-tip though. Hate em.

anything marvel. but I would like to keep it away from 3 because yeah there is a thread of that already.

so if you have CoA or MvC2 or anything really post it here. I'll organize it and idk. Classic Fighters make me feel at home somehow.
 
Ah okay.

Not a lot of people have played MSH, I like it as kind of a casual party game since it's basically the mvc2 physics engine (dash momentum that lets you slip slide around for high speed footsies) with a fairly diverse character roster to play with. I don't think it has the depth of X-Men vs Street Fighter or MVC2, but it's good fun to play once in a while. Would recommend it to anyone looking for some easy and smooth air-dashy silliness to play with.


Old set I had playing as Wolverine vs a guy I met's Iron Man.

Wolvie has some infinites but I intentionally avoid them here.

Desktop ports of Reicast have been vaporware for so long, but instead we got it on libretro finally, which means it runs on everything Retroarch runs on (which is like, everything). Got MvC2 running smooth on Linux now!

Note that atm it only runs console Dreamcast and not arcade Naomi, but the latter is planned Soon™. Also make sure to boot into the BIOS once and reformat memory cards or else they won't work.
