NEED HELP Beowulf Countering

I play this game with someone who only plays Beowulf, literally.
He does nothing but use his grapples almost constantly and I've noticed I can't break them like a normal grab, is there something I'm missing?
Can you block his Chairless form's grabs like any other attack?

I play Valentine, Eliza, Painwheel, and Filia (In order of who I play most) if that is any help.

You say he keeps using his chairless command grabs? Beowulf takes chip damage from normals when he's lost his chair, so if you can find a blockstring that loops, abuse the hell out of it.

His chairless grab normals are sHP and jHP and they can be blocked.
His LP+LK throw can be teched like normal throws cause it is a normal throw.
If he does his qcf+throw, that can't be teched or blocked. It looks like he pounces and looks similar to his Wolf Cannon tackle thing.

If he blocks without the chair, he takes extra chip damage and stuff.

You have to jump that one.

You can block his other chair-less moves which move into the grappling stance on hit.

I mean no such thing of this exists because of push blocking/reaction shots

but yah he takes a considerable amount of chip when chairless he also loses the ability to do double snaps so dont be afraid to do assists if you feel like you are safe enough to do so

Kinda hard since he defines what a try hard is, and is slowing ruining the game for me.
