Fantastic. I was worried I'd be bringing the only SG setup. The only problem with my laptop is I don't have it setup to work with Ps3 controllers... I have the program downloaded, but don't have any PS3 controllers to configure it with... if it becomes a problem I'm sure we can solve it. Xbox controllers work just fine.

[Edit] Dude, this event was a blast. The venue is sketchy, but it was also very large... there were only like 6-10 people, but it was really fun and everyone was really chill. I'm glad everybody could come out and rep skullgirls.

There were just three for SG, Me, Pandamana, and Gameandgoodies. But we got two Marvel 3 players interested, they were playing for a while and both said they were going to buy it and practice. And the venue was huge, not the amount of people
 
There were 3-5 street fighter players, 2-3 marvel players and 3 skullgirls players... and 2 of Goodies' friends who played Pokemon. A couple guys were playing MTG throughout the night, but they mostly stayed to themselves. The venue is really big, though... Could have a ton of setups going.
 
prolly not going to be there this friday since i have a paper to work on and study for a midterm in the spare time after.

No. I'm really busy this weekend with midterms. Sorry Icky. I might be able to make it next, next weekend, though. I think my last midterm is next week.
 
@LordCeno if you're going tonight, would you mind bringing that monitor? Mine has been acting up lately.
 
@mcpeanuts Do you need me to bring my HDMI to DVI cable, or do you have something you prefer? My monitor supports DVI and VGA.

I should be able to provide the cables. My thinking was we would connect an Asus via HDMI and your monitor via VGA.

Since it's @Rakurin's first time going I think he should run the gauntlet and play everyone else there on stream.

Don't worry. I haven't had a chance to practice all week, because I had to spend the time re-varnishing the balltop on my stick. Last Friday some guy whose name rhymes with Nick Freemutts knocked the thing to the floor. Luckily, everything's dry now.

Fall River Fight Night is this saturday at 7:00pm at Game King in Fall River. I'll be there.
[EDIT] Also, from Gary the guy who runs the event - "So this Saturday is also Game King's Halloween party so there will be free food, pumpkin carving, etc. Dress up as Ryu or something I guess."

My reason for not being able to make the last one is no longer relevant, so I should be able to be there. I would prefer not to bring a setup if at all possible though. Are you good on setups?

I'm assuming we'll be good on setups, but Panda should verify. He brought a laptop which worked well, and @Gamesandgoodies also brought one. Not sure if he'll be there next Saturday though?
 
I'm bringing my laptop, but I have yet to set it up to work with ps3 controllers... Hopefully we could get another setup as well, but if not that's okay.
 
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I guess I'll see how I feel. If I bring my setup we could stream, so that's a thing.

No worries, either way. We'll (at least most of us) be able to play on my laptop... so no biggy if no one else brings a setup.

Depending on what happens on Saturday, I might be a little late... like 9-10 instead of 7. I'll keep yall updated on that, since I'll know way ahead of time if I'll be late. I should know by Friday, for example.

Actually, for just this week, I don't think you need to. I've been thinking about this. We all know the setup randomly lags when we've got the two monitor setup going. The tournament is coming up in 9 days, I'm not going to make people play in tournament on a laggy setup, so what I'd like to do this week is basically just a dry run of what I'm planning to have the day of the tournament. Without a second monitor we can't really have people commentating cause like, they would have to be commentating right next to the players, which would be distracting. So what I'd like to do is have the webcam (I have a webcam, by the way, I'll be bringing it friday) set up and use that for the audio. It would look kind of like this, which was also a tournament setup:


(I probably wouldn't have a guy reading random numbers before the match starts, I don't even know what that was about).

Anyways I want to try this out and basically ask the stream monsters, is this acceptable to you. Just to see what people think.

Awesome, so if i read this correctly we're ditching SG for MK9? Can't wait :)
 
Actually. I realize this is kind of sudden, but I actually need a week off from Game Underground. I'm sorry. Hopefully someone else can provide a setup.

I should still be there Saturday, but only to provide the setup and run the brackets. I'm not entering.

I'm kind of realizing that I need a break from playing fighting games for a while. Maybe indefinitely, I'm not sure. I already have trouble managing anger and a game like this is not a good fit for me.
 
I'll bring my PS3. Best I can do, though I'm not huge on SDE. Hopefully the monitors haven't migrated again this week.

@mcpeanuts is that bag of yours with the speakers/keyboard/etc still in the back at GU? Did it have a mouse?

I think I can try lugging my PC's tower down there so that we don't have to run SDE tonight, but taking the other stuff would require unwiring a lot of stuff that I'd prefer not to touch if I can avoid it.
 
Well, I have no idea what to say D: But if you think this is what's best for you, then go for it. I hope you start playing SG again at some point though, I have a blast playing with you at GU every week

And Ceno, Zid is going to bring his laptop tonight so we will have the pc version available
