USA [Dec 8, 2017] SALTY! Friday Weeklies @ Game Realms (Burbank, CA)

Going on a visit to CA for other reasons but I'm hoping to catch this tourney on break!
 
@Devita has a PS4 setup he can bring, I already talked to him about it. :^) At least the PS4, anyway, so if someone has another monitor...?
Using the systems in the back is a decent idea, but I don't know if that's a PITA for the store to unhook or they don't want to damage them or whatnot.

I also already clicked the "automatically archive my broadcasts" button for the Game Realms twitch channel. So that'll be on for next time. HEH.

YEAH, THIS WENT REALLY WELL OVERALL. That was WAY more people than expected, I hope Game Realms was happy with it rather than weirded out. :^P

I didn't mean ONLY use the front space next time, I meant like putting some of the tables ((like the CRT ones I guess)) out front so people could circle the SG/+R stations. I know I was having problems getting to the SG setups at multiple points throughout the night.

I probably wont really be able to show up until maybe post-July or so and then I'll be around all the time to continue to ruin everything

Could I bring a keyboard to this local because I don't have the money to get a real controller that I can use and get it shipped to me before Friday.

It's the 22nd, not the 15th.
And no, keyboards won't work on PS4s.

I'm trying to make it on the 22nd and I usually use a keyboard, so I think I could sorta transition over to a fightstick because the buttons are similar to what I have binded right now. (The Only thing that would be weird is the joystick)

Well, my spare stick is a Hori Mini 4. If that would be too small, and our matches do not overlap, I also have a Hori RAP V Hayabusa.

I mean if your willing to let me use a fightstick just so I get a chance to play that would be pretty chill. The buttons are bigger than my keyboard anyways. (I guess also the buttons on the right side instead of the lef

It is no problem at all. You just can't travel all the way out here, but not play Skullgirls @ SALTY!

The Mini 4's buttons are small, not much bigger than keyboard buttons. And it's only 3 months old, so it's in great shape.

That's what I did, and it worked.
Well alright *grabs $5* now I gotta wait 4 days get on plane, stay at Programming Camp for a week and then I may be able to make it. (Not saying the camp is bad btw)
 
A lil bit late, but I'm super glad everyone showed up! I didn't talk to everyone individually but I'm glad the turn-out was this huge. Super glad to see so many new faces, and faces I haven't seen in ages

let's keep it up and foster up a whole new crew of button pressers!!

Is this gonna be on Friday night? I'm coming in from Clearwater, Florida ill be on Vacation over near LA/Moreno Valley and can probably make it if its on Friday night.

(we got a pretty good scene over here in Pinellas/Tampa with Medic and a few others, socks and BL stop by every now and then so i wont be too free hopefully lol)

Hi! Maggie from Game Realms again here.

Wanted to give folks here a heads up that we here at Game Realms will be selling bottled water for $1.00 plus tax during the tournament. This should help keep folks quenched without having to leave the store, especially if their match is coming up.

Again, there is a 7-11 across the street , a 24 hour Subway at the end of the block, and near the Subway there is a liquor store that sells other drinks.

Ok so this is a last minute thing but do I need to sign up on the Google sheets thing because I missed some of these messages because I was a t camp.

It helps but not absolutely necessary. It's mostly for getting a head count and setting up the brackets.

All right I was just nervous because I can't edit the Google sheets on my phone/where to put my name n stuff
 
Still tentative but I may be able to attend August 4th salty if i'm in SoCal for the week. Stuff can give me a ride but if I want to stay later it'd be easier if someone else could give me a ride. If your route involves swinging through the Eagle Rock/Occidental College area let me know.

Also if someone can bring a Blazblue CP Extend setup that'd be super great for me, gotta see how I fare against Wing's Kagura now :v
 
I can stay much longer now because this is on a Friday and I don't have to worry about sleep like I did on Saturdays.

I stayed 'til the end last week (like 3am?) and if I feel like going today I'll probably do the same thing.
