I won't be able to go to this one, sorry. On such short notice, I can't make a time off request. Hopefully I'll be able to come next time.

Is the venue change permanent? This is so much closer to me and I'm hype to have one this close.

Nah, its just a cookout they do once a year apparently.

Not going to be able to make this one due to other commitments. Curious to hear how it goes at a venue like that, though. Have fun and hopefully I can make the next one!

Are there enough casual setups or should i bring my laptop?

Also @dapurplesharpie , im commin down from md in an hr. If u still need a ride and ur on the way shout at me

So, I have to buy a new capture card, but I will actually be there this time.
Sorry about last time, everyone.
Hope you guys enjoyed yourself.

Hi!! I'm planning on going to this, and was also planning on bringing a PS4 setup if I was allowed to!! It's my first time going to one of these so I didn't know if it'd be okay to!

I won't be able to make this one either, sorry fellas.

Updated for the July monthly. Yes, it is early. Evo always bodies the schedule in July. There is also an "old school" theme this month, but they're not gonna run SG off on account of that. Besides, this game is half a decade old now.

Yeah sooooo I have a huge online tournament I have to run that afternoon, lmao

Well that certainly caught me off guard.
I can't really see myself making it this month, due to lack of people showing and very close dates; but if I have nothing better to do I'll roll up.

Definitely don't sweat it this month, y'all. Hopefully we can all join up in August.

They're having difficulty scheduling a date for the August monthly. I'll keep y'all posted.

Ah crap I have a company picnic that day. Damn you obligations and rsvp-ing.

Damn would miss it for a family reunion. Oh well....

I think I'm sick, so I guess I'm canceling on my end :T I will see u all in september ;P

Hey guys, it was nice to see everyone again after a three month hiatus. I wanted to address something really important to me though.

I took a break from SG shortly after ComboBreaker because of how stressed I was getting while playing the game. Nearly every session was ending in frustration and the desire to compete with other players in my skill bracket was leaving me incredibly stressed out, trying to beat and perform better than other fellow upper-mid level players. Despite a three month hiatus, I found a lot of that frustration and stress coming back to me fairly quickly the other night, and to top it off, I found a lot of my old habits resurfacing just as quickly.

I've put a lot of time and effort into SG and I don't want to stop, but at the same time, I think I need to stay away from offline play for a while. I don't want to sour the friendships I've made over the two years I've been playing the game and I feel that giving offline play a rest for a while would be wise, until I can learn to not be such an emotional player. SkullGirls was also intruding into my other activities, and I can't have that happen. This was another reason why I took some time off.

I'll still probably drop by Xanadu to play Tekken 7; this was why I came to Xanadu this month to begin with, but I came to Xanadu a week early. I'll be taking some more time off from local SG play though -- it'll probably be the best for everyone.

Thanks guys.

I want to apologize about not keeping up with what Xanadu was doing this month.

They originally announced the date on the 16th as the monthly, so I went ahead and posted it. Then they added another date for the 23rd because of MvCI's release and converted the 16th to an Old School event.

Sorry for the mix-up.

Ah well. Still had fun last week. And I'm unable to attend this Saturday, so kinda worked out.

BlueFeena, do what you gotta do. Nothing wrong with stepping away if you're not feeling it.

Hope to be out there in October and see everyone again!

Updated for October.

They also announced the following monthly for November 4th.
