first off im really sorry that I have no idea what im talking about

ok so I just got my capture card and idk how to make an overlay so currently my streams look like this

and well it looks weird all blown up like that at that resolution and i figure making an overlay would help fix it but the thing is idk how to use one on OBS is there any guides or any one want to explain it to me in basic terms so i could understand? thanks

An overlay is just you arranging images on top of/around the game feed. I can walk you through it if you tell me what you want it to look like. Any examples of what you're trying to go for?

just like what is usually seen on stream like two rectangle things so kinda like

Ok, so basically
  1. in OBS, scale the Skullgirls capture down and snap it to the top left (simple drag n drop style).
  2. you now have empty space below and to the right of your game capture
  3. you can right click and add both text and image files, and then move them to the appropriate place in the layout
  4. you can additionally add a window capture to display things like twitch chat or music player display (again, right click > add)
You've now got as much as I do. Anything past this is a matter of using plugins and shit like that.

ok but like how do I scale in the first place?
