[Oct 17, 2015] CEOtaku: Party of the Century 2015 (+ Horror Nights) (Orlando, FL)

Horror Nights is really expensive! Do we go for an awesome backup plan?

I piece of me is sad that no one thought to replace the Persona logo on the final splash with the CEO logo.
 
Welp if things go smoothly with my pops and I'm able to save enough, because I feel bad for my dad offering and I don't want him to pay for the entire flight, I'll show up. So this is a hopefully.

Plans for the tourney:
- Most likely gonna donate to SG pot by going 0-4
- Compete for GG +R and Yatagarasu
- Get some casual help for Persona 4 U and UNiEL cause it's gonna be a while until I get a PS3
- Take as much film and photos of the tourney as possible
- Hoping that @Broken Loose brings that wood chuck game I remembered back in CEO2014 so that I can money match him in that game.

Wait, do converters work for the PS4 or does it have to be a native ps3 stick?

Yup. Prices for flights from Canada sucked more than usual when I was booking my flight. Probably because of the weak canadian dollar ;.;
 
Are you serious? Why was it necessary to remove "Main Stage" to add the Pot Bonus to the main page? CEOtaku has both which is kinda super notable awesome. @Vadsamoht pls

Space more than anything. Also having main stage and *not* the pot bonus on the list would make it seem like this is the tournament that has been forgotten/is less popular in comparison to the others.

I can change it back, but it's unfortunately either/or.
 
tbf $1000 sort of implies main stage anyways. It would be wack as heck if there was that much money and grand finals was played on an off stream setup
 
Took too long to book my flight for summer jam so I can't go. On the bright side I now have enough to go to this instead! Flights ended up being a lot cheaper than I expected. Def booking early.

So is room sharing gonna be a thing? That Halloween thing sounds fun so I'd like to make it in time for that. Not sure if I should fly Thursday or Friday. Both days I'd reach at the airport around 7pm.

MCO (Orlando International Airport) is the direct and simple option. The Sanford airport might get you some cheaper fares but you'll be a 40-minute drive from the venue.

Working on getting the time off approved/taking my midterm early so I can arrive on Thursday and not Friday

That's the plan. I can understand if people want to back out after what I have to say next.

Gate tickets for HHN on October 16th (the date matters) are $102 +tax for a single park and do not include daytime admission to the park in question. If you have a Coke product UPC or a Florida proof of residency (ID or license) it drops to $65. While I could attempt to arrange hookups, (A) it's literally the hardest event to hook up at any theme park anytime and I do not make this claim lightly, (B) $37 off is already a substantial discount that would likely be equal to or greater than any potential shit I could arrange, and (C) I'm not gonna bug my friends for free tickets for ??? random dudes from the SGC (whether or not you're actually random dudes or friends I've known for years).

The event begins at 6:30pm and ends somewhere between midnight and 2am. We'd probably be better off trying to meet up at Universal Citywalk at 6 or possibly earlier, never mind getting off of planes.

For the 2 mystery guests staying with me, don't worry. We have backup plans if this isn't our thing. For the plurality of us, a vote? I will say that in the absence of HHN, I can totally arrange a super awesome group thing for us to do, whether it's a party, East Coast Salty (Sweet? Spicy?), another theme park experience (although water parks will be closing earlier in the day), driving half an hour to the beach, showing up to a fetish dungeon, or playing an infinite number of board games. CEOtaku will be the Party of the Century one way or another.

I know some 360 -> ps3 converters do work for PS4 SG, but I dunno if there's any lag or not when using it
