All these manga/show terms like devil fruit guard are obfuscating things.
 
Initial scans are always confusing. We'll just have to wait for an actual live gameplay demonstration.

Yeah he's pretty cool. I wonder if he can switch between his Dino form and using his axes or he's just locked to Dino Drake.

any gameplay videos out on this yet?
Right now I'm trying to imagine this game but all I can think of is that Jojo Bizarre Adventure Allstar Battle game but with teams of 3 (a ninja storm equivalent to mvc i guess is what I'm saying)
 
No solid gameplay aside from the two trailers sadly.
 
Game launches April 21st in Japan on PS4/Vita. It'll also be playable at Jump Festa on Dec. 19th/20th, so we should be getting some footage soon!

(Manga spoilers)

Gear Fourth Luffy (Limited Version) is playable, but he comes as a download code in first print editions. http://gematsu.com/2015/12/one-piec...son-sound-edition-first-print-bonus-announced

Since this is a "Limited Version" of G4 Luffy, and he can fight in that form from start to finish, maybe base Luffy can still transform into Gear Fourth during a fight but it probably has some sort of cost and only lasts for a set amount of time. Either way, putting that behind a pre-order is disappointing.

First game in the series, Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 had 20+ characters, UNS 2 had 42+ , if the game does well there's sure to be way more.
You can't expect the moon from the first fighting game in the series for more than a decade and a half.
I think it's a pretty respectable roster for now

or just make Pirate Warriors 4, a little down the line why don't they!

i want Don Krieg to be playable and I want Jinbe to get buffed

Don Krieg was playable in One Piece Grand Adventure/Battle.
Pretty good game, Power stone + One Piece, downside it was only 1 on 1, and it had 4kids Era voice acting.
Which is why I'm excited we're getting another fucking fighting game after a goddamn decade and a half.
