Pokemon

nah! the other one looks too "light" and "clean". this one looks more "rough" and closely resembles a biological experiment (bioweapon)

As a shout out to DBZ, Frieza-style Mewtwo, if put in a Pokemon Movie Series (I hope they bring Pokemon Movies back, they were really fun, reminded me of the Challenge Disks from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness), should take 10 sequels just to power up to his full form. Then 20 more to actually start the fight.

But since his last appearance in movies, he's been charging up since the second season!

Froakie G. The Rapper Frog Pokemon.
He learns Double Slap, Wake-Up Slap, Sing, Whirlpool, Twister, and Splash (which on him does actually damage with a chance of flinching).

Way too OP. Ronma plz.

Not too feeling the other Mewtwo though.
Looks.
Weird.
The new one? Personally, I think it looks like he's wearing a Mewtwo-flesh-coloured shirt over street-hockey protective equipment. Minus the helmet of course because he's a badass and don't need no helmet.

More Type specific changes.
Ghost: Aren't affected by moves that prevent fleeing like Mean Look anymore.
Grass: Can't be seeded or affected by moves such as SleepPowder or Stun Spore.
Electric: Can't be Paralysed.

Please don't let there be any "roaming legendaries" of the Ghost type this gen.

I feel like Grass and Electric should have had these properties already(though I believe Grass types were already unable to be seeded). Oh well. Hey, somebody wanna make a patch list of some sort? We don't wanna forget this stuff halfway through the game...

"I'll just send out Honedge, he should be neutral to my opponent's Shadow Ball."
"LOL, SUPER EFFECTIVE."
"......balls."

Electrics could indeed be paralyzed, but only by moves like Body Slam and Stun Spore, not Thunder Wave.
Grasses you're right, they can't be seeded. But the sleep powder thing is new to me. I had no idea.
And just get a pokemon with Arena Trap/Shadow Tag and you're fine. It's not a move right?

I'll do a patch eventually.

For those who don't know there have been theories about the new 2nd evolutions for the starters
Froakie=thief
Fennekin=witch
Chespin=warrior(?)

I was also wondering about Shadow Tag/Arena Trap. It only said moves, but I bet it'll include abilities too. It's kinda like how Levitate makes a pokemon immune to ground moves, but then they also aren't affected by Arena Trap.

I'm not too thrilled about Electric Type's new immunity to paralysis, but I guess it's no different then Fire's immunity to burn.

And poison's immunity to poison :P

But yeah, it could very well be true. Ghosts got a HUGE buff with this gen. Ability to combat Steel types AND get to just waltz out of battle whenever you feel like it? Kickass. Though the grass needed all the buffs they can get. But with this buff, it'll just assume that grass vs grass will be one loooooong and boring battle... But I think that's more realistic actually...

Wouldn't it be mage or at least wizard if we were going by generic RPG classes?

And Steel's immunity to poison. Poison really needs more love.

I really don't think the Grass changes make much of a difference. The powder moves don't really see much use to begin with. I still want a Grass type with Drought as an ability. Maybe a Grass/Fire type. That'd be awesome.

Yea but the main problem is the stick in the tail looking like a broom and and when when attacking it's on fire when its pulled out still keeping a slight broom esc apperance

Well the localized names for the evolutions are:

Chespin > Quilladin
Fennekin > Braixen
Froakie > Frogadier

I'm guessing that
Quilladin = Quill + Paladin
Braixen = Vixen + Braise(?)
Frogadier = Frog + Brigadier(?)

Although I really hope that it's not that way, for Froakie's sake. I loved him in the beginning because I wanted him to grow out his mustache, but his second evolution suggests that they're going in a different direction.

I've been advocating for a Grass/Fire type for generations now. Hasn't happened yet even though they have a PERFECT POKEMON TO USE FOR THIS PURPOSE. Sunflora needs an evolution that is Literally a SUNFLOWER that is on fire. Even if it isn't that, we want and need a grass/fire type. I mean we got a bug/fire, why not grass?

I don't like Quilladin's name... It makes me uneasy to find out its evolution...

You call Pyroar and Litleo good? It's just the introduction of a new typing. Otherwise, they're horrendous D: Normal/Fire typing is disgusting. At least the female form looks kinda cool.

But I DO agree with the Meowstic (Lame name... but whatever) being interesting. Not only does it LOOK different for gender differences, it has a different MOVESET. That's the coolest shit! And they're absolutely adorable! Ima get a male and make him a support pokemon because adorable.

I want a Fire/Fire type. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Resisting looking up exactly what the new Pokemon look like until I get the game, but Meowstic sounds cool. The last radically different appearing based on gender Pokemon I enjoyed was Jellicent. Dat mustache.

I can't decide on the starter I want.

I'm thinking Fennekin cause I always go fire starter, and I already have a nickname for him (Fredrick). But I really, really want Charmander (especially if he does end up Fire/Dragon in Mega Form).

I'm thinking Froakie because his first and second forms look chill as fuck, and I'd get to pick Charmander. Squirtle may be missed, but I won't loss any sleep over that one. Mega Blastoise is dope though.

I'm thinking Chespin cause his first form is the most adorable. I don't like Mega Venosaur, so Bulbasaur isn't a choice anyway... but Chespin's second form looks atrocious. Dat puberty awkward form, but it gives me hope for his third form.

Don't get your hopes up. He's already confirmed Fire/Flying.

I agree, that's quite the decision (Fennekin) to make. Maybe (Fennekin) you should take a look at (Fennekin) all three again. Just to (Fennekin) make sure you pick the (Fennekin) right one.

Oh he is? Fuuuuck... This was the perfect opportunity, with the Fairy>Dragon thing. Oh well. I guess this makes my choice easier.

You are a delight to be around when there are no Waifu wars, sir.

Fennekin you very much, Cere-Master.

Oh yeah, has it been confirmed whether or not Eevee's getting another evolution outside Sylveon?

Well,

Gen 2: Espeon, Umbreon

Gen 4: Glaceon, Leafeon

Gen 6: Sylveon, ???

If we follow the release pattern, another Eeveelution could be released. A lot of people think it's gonna be a Dragon type, because both Eevee pairs have an Eeveelution that is weak to the other one.

Well, yeah, people always point to that, but the first Gen had three. And two in a row isn't necessarily a pattern yet, it's a coincidence. It'll be a pattern if this one turns out to be a two-fer (which I hope it is).

Also, forgot to mention it, but I really don't like that stick Fenniken's evolution has coming out of it's tail. I hope it looks better with the final form.

And another thing, does it feel like some of this Mega Evolution stuff is being made up on the fly? At first Mewtwo had what appeared to be a new form, I believe (meaning uncertain) it was announced as that. And then it was a Mega Evolution, with it being "Mega Mewtwo". And now it's "Mega Mewtwo Y", with an X counterpart. Maybe I'm overthinking it, though.

Being an Eeveelution Enthusiast, I REALLY hope it's a pattern too.

Trying not to look at any Pokemanz before I get the game, so no opinion on that.

Reminds me of B2/W2 with the whole Black and White Kyurem thing. As long as these Mewtwos don't mess up the metagame more than it already is and they look cool, I don't think it'll be a problem.

They pretty much have every pokemon done: Rendered and modeled and statted etc. So Mewtwo X and Y both existed far before now.

And I doubt there's going to be a new Eeveelution. They would've premiered it by now.

Also, I noticed that stick in the tail was weird too. I'm like "Where did that come from? Hmm" I bet it's a whole branch in the final evo. Like said though, I hope it's not dumb looking. Like Chespin's second evo........

I personally like Meowstic since I'm a fan of Psychic types. Plus, I love it's expression.

Chespins second form looks weird in all honesty. It looks like Gengar's body with the facial expression of the Villager from Animal Crossing.

I did not know how to describe him but this is perfect.

I was hoping that he would become a Water/Dragon pokemon based of the legends his first form is based off of (which would have a killer stach) but I'm happy we are finally getting a sweeper water pokemon (basing this off the more aerodynamic design compared to the other two starters)
