They always made the advertisement showing what to be expected, harada very early said it wouldn't be a deep fighting game. You can't blame them for your lack of information.

Pokken isn't a fighting game? Did I miss something?
Because it definitely looks like a fighting game, certainly not like Tekken but more like, Naruto or J-Stars or something.
 
It's as much a fighting game as ash Bros is; definitely fighting but is more of an action versus than a traditional fighter.

Harada also mentioned its not like Tekken or Soul Calibur, and is aimed more toward Pokemon fans rather than the FGC.

It has combos, sidesteps and chains

It's a fighting game. it may not be the traditional sense you want or look for but it's there oh no genres are dumb

We have Destiny Bond, Fissure opening and crushing mons, Horn drilling through opponents, and freaking Guillotine, with is explicit decapitation.

I'll allow soul stealing.

Not only the roster isn't exclusively composed of fighting types, but it's clearly lacking fighting mons.

I was joking. If we're getting a bug my bets in order would be Scizor, Scyther, Heracross and Pinsir.
 
So I know a guy that lives in japan that asked around what people consider the best characters are. He got this more or less:

1.Suicune
2.Pikachu Libre
3.Pikachu
4.Gengar
5.Blaziken

The current arcade build only has up to Sceptile, which most seem to agree is kind of lacking.

Any good Garchomp footage out? Having Bryan Fury's strings (f4~1, db2, b1) as well as a command run with followups is getting me really hype to see what people do with him.
