Also the second link, straight from the Skullgirls website doesn't actually seem to have anything, despite claiming to have character guides for everyone for... each platform?
How was this page supposed to work exactly? I suppose you could change it to link to the character sections or something?
Way back in the day, that page contained PDFs of movelists for all characters.

The files are now gone from skullgirls.com apparently, but they are archived here for everyone to admire in all their lvl1 catheads glory.

Ok, maybe it's a little like a hostage situation but with Mike Z' sanity instead of actual valuable people that actually matter, but still.
 
When I tested the anti-air Robo-Fortune super (the one with a magnet) it seemed very unreliable with her laucher attacks
I'd love to either get an explanation on it or just to make it more viable

You have to let go of kk for it to grab, if you didn't know.
If that isn't the issue, then I have no idea.

As someone who replays through the Skullgirls story mode often, having a feature to use alternate colour palletes for each character would be great.

The use of alternate colours could be made available after beating story mode with that character once or on a certain difficulty setting.

For Disclosure: This is not a request to alter portrait art depending on the colour pallet, just the use of various colours during gameplay (only for the main playable character)

i.e. playing Valentine's story with mp colour

Those were on the retail so I don't know if they are already fixed on the beta:
- There were lighting bugs on Cerebella with her new white color on the Medici Tower stage: during the opening animation, she went bright to dark one or two times in a sudden (on player 2 position)
- After doing Tympany above Marie, her gigans skulls were dispatched over the place for 10 seconds, then went all back to normal when she moved.

Only if you can't read, even then, you shouldn't.

I sure there is a reason for this and I'm pretty sure it's not getting changed but why does the hitbox on Beowulf's j.HP cover like his whole body when the hitbox on the same move without the chair only cover his hands. Shouldent J.HP with chair's hitbox just cover the chair?

Chairless j.HP is a hitgrab
Chaired j.HP is pressure

I'd say they probably wouldn't do that, considering they'd have to either alter what <specifically-chosen in certain cases, mind you> palette mirror matches use, or disable just that one palette from the player's use altogether.

Very observative.
Doesn't really answer the question, though.

Different moves, different purposes. That's what I was getting at.
 
In Leaderboards, we have the option to filter quickmatch ranks by "Friends Only". However unlike when having it set to "All", we can only see the top 12 positions from that group. I don't know how difficult the task would be from the coding standpoint, but it would be nice to be able to scroll down through that list and see how all of your friends score.

I realise this is very minor as QM rank doesn't represent skill at all and mostly shows how much a player spends time in quickmatch. That said, I didn't bring it up sooner because it is minor and this is the last moment to ask after all. I guess I just like numbers + I'm actually curious which players from my friendlist like the feature of quickmatch and which ignore it entirely.

Granted the question could've been sufficiently answered by saying Chair J.hp is his cross-up option.

I most certainly would love this feature, as I too ignore Quick Match rankings PS3 top 300 master race =P

As balance and character development is wrapping up on Skullgirls, many users are overwhelming MikeZ's inbox with last minute suggestions.

Tutorial stuff (more serious)
Along with your good tutorial suggestions, all the other tutorial comments in this thread should perhaps be placed in a location (like this thread for Tutorial Questions) where render can see them. I think tutorial's are more his territory than Mike's.

Perhaps the same could be said for all the palette suggestions, which is more EU03's purview. This thread's purpose is to solely erode MikeZ's sanity, or is it to address Lab Zero in general?
 
I havent really read all the other posts, so i dont know if this has been suggested.
But oh man, i've been dreaming of a sort of ranking system/elo system for so long
 
I think a visual/sound cue would be nice when solos do a snap and regain their red health. Same for snapping solos to remove their red health altogether.
 
Could we have the ability to slow down the tutorial mode like training room? I often find learning new combos and especially air chains easier if I can slow down time.

At lot of people seemed to hit the "like" button on my previous post, so I got a few more, because why not?

- The wording on the UI when getting a Perfect maybe could be changed to GOLD? Nothing says perfect like those bright shining letters on the screen.

- All those great looking IGG art commissions that the various staff are posting on their twitters/websites should get into the gallery. Also everything SG-related Alex posted on his tumblr.

- The gallery getting more of the old proto-SG art. Like the really old stuff like Parasoul with the tree eye.

- Being able to pick any character to face off against Marie 300%.

Please keep in mind the amount of work that has to go in for requests before you make them. And remember that the staff at L0 is already underpaid. I mean a lot of this is probably gonna be skipped over anyways but some of these suggestions are just X_X.

One thing that i would like to see but prolly wont is that if it was possible.

Allow players to train while waiting in lobby. it would.more than understanding as to why it isnt possible tho.
 
That makes no sense. It's not like it's too good and it helps move around the head pretty quickly. Why make that kind of change this late? I can see if maybe it was too good, but it's not. Cerebella's c lk is godly yet.....Fortune's is getting a nerf?....
This isn't really the proper place to discuss this, but just to provide the what and why of it:
The (less spectacular than mentioned earlier) c.LK change was included in today's beta update along with an explanation.

The answer to a majority of these suggestions: "Nope".

Seriously though a mode where you can view concept art and character renders would be cool.
A gallery exists on PC and will be added to other platforms at the end.

How.... How about a UMvC3 galactus-esque mode for Marie? That would take like 2 minutes as far as I know, it's like the Master hand Glitch from Melee, where the moves are pretty much assigned to special buttons and directions.
This is not a two-minute change. New art and UI would need be made.

Uh.... Why not a create-your-own skin mode? Like SFxT with pre-placed colors. All those unique palettes in the art thread can become a reality, and that'd be pretty damn cool of you guys.

- For maximum JoJo, Eliza's Dio color palette should have Albus recolored as Anubis (the cursed sword stand) and Horus recolored as Petshop (that terrible ice bird). They were both playable in the capcom game after all.

Add different colored Maries for any mode you fight her in? Can that happen or no? I made 4 a while back.
It can happen, but I don't want it to.

I'd love to see a slightly larger character icon for the first assist so it'd be faster to see which is which.
UI change of this scale would probably not be happening at this point.

I'm not a huge fan of the shaking on Beat Extend tbh but at least now his BnB doesn't have 3 of them. Shout outs to beta. As a quality of life thing I wouldn't mind if it did no shaking by default and did max shake if you held the button down. You'd lose the ability to do some but not all shakes, but I have never been in a situation where I wanted to do that.

When we perfect someone can we get the laugh like when we get a double kill? Dont know if it would be aesthetically pleasing, but since it is already used assets could be possible without much work?


We need more blowups for perfects imho.

I wouldn't be opposed to Michael Jackson jumping out and forcing everyone to dance moonwalker, either. Probably won happen... But would be the guts on a perfect...lol
