The Divine Trinity is using the Skull Heart to find a link between their world and the main charachter's world so they can destroy it or something evil. im going to infer that the Skull Heart is another Divine Parasite like Khronos and Abbadon and that it's main user is Mother. Each Story mode out come has 3 types of endings, the first one being one that the Trinity wins and gets a new more powerful Skull Girl, the second being no new skullgirl, and the last being the Trinity has lost

• Filia will become the new skullgirl in 7 years, will be more powerful as her skullgirl powers will giver her more control of Samson
• Peacock destroys Skull Heart (no point for either side)
• Painwheel inadvertently becomes the skullgirl as deep down she wishes for revenge and the Skullgirl blood pick up on it
• Ms. Fortune Destroys Skull Heart
• Cerebella Leaves Skullheart
• Parasoul (bit of both since she will become the skullgirl in 7 years but is training Umbrella to defeat her, mostly the Trinity won
• Valentine becomes the Skullgirl to give vital information on the Trinity to the labs so that they can be directly be defeated once and for all (Trinity loosing)
• Squigly Destroys Skullheart but will be ressurected over and over again to defeat the Skullgirl (she also completely killed double) (Trinity loosing)

Also when going through story mode I believe i have uncovered the little known secret of Mother's true form

Pay attention to the middle figure who is the third goddess of the trinity Mother
then make note of this image we see at the end of Double's story

I have always thought that this person was some one different than Mother, however looking at the two pictures above I can not deny the fact that they are extremely simmilar
