Overview
We want to create an experience molded closely to the excellently refined gameplay of the original 2 Super Monkey Ball games, which many people look back on with great fondness. With that in mind, we also intend to bring it into the modern age, featuring outstanding custom level support on launch, online multiplayer, and in-game social features to encourage a strong community and competition!

This is the game I have wanted to play since I was 10 years old, and I want to bring it to you, too.

I'm Brandon Johnson, and I've played Super Monkey Ball since I was a lil' boy. I like these games so much, that within the past year I've made two major Super Monkey Ball 2 ROM hacks, featuring over 200 unique levels. If you like these games too, then you probably don't need me to tell you why I think they're so great! But for posterity, let's go over it briefly.

Super Monkey Ball distilled marble games down into their rawest form: No jumping. No gems. Just roll the ball from point A to point B, no matter what stands in your way.

The reason it was fun to get from point A to point B, was because of everything in-between.

Terrific, manic, and above all else, memorable level design, combined with a unique method of controlling the ball gave it its appeal. Of course, who could forget the cute monkeys to give the game that extra touch of personality?

I have studied the physics and level design behind the games in order to capture that same feeling, and bring it onto the PC, with the kinds of modern features that I always wished they had. To name a few...

Online multiplayer for racing or competition
Out-of-the-box custom level support with a workshop for sharing creations
In-game global leaderboards for courses and stages
Spectating
Replays
The character in the ball will break free and escape your computer
...actually, not that last one.
