I mean at one point. Nowadays the meta is dominated by like about something like 10 characters...which is honestly pretty good imo in contrast to some games that will remain nameless.

However, I was more referring to guilty gear .
 
it is evident that not a lot of people here have actually put serious time into marvel by claiming everyone is broken....

im liking the look of the changes in this one. glad that airgregor got somewhat nerfed. i think id rather deal with the Oki than resets midcombo anyway.

also in regards to para soldiers building meter, mike even says himself in the video that teh meter build is "probably a bit too much, but its there", so it may even get tweaked somewhat.

Have you fought someone using her golden pendilum assist? Shit's broken you literally have to block it or free mix ups now imagine that with viper+vergil
 
last post but gold pendulum assist was literally the only good thing she has going for her. it wasnt free either if you were playing against a good player you could lose her to THCs pretty easily. man she is such a bad character holy crap.

Super heroes make money.

In my view it is a fairly shitty game that is riding hard as fuck on its IP.

If it was a completely unique IP, I can't see it doing half as well.

EDIT: I should clarify, I think MvC can be a good deal of fun too, but I prefer SG so I don't bother with it.

You're clearly ignoring the "crossover of popular IPs" factor in that whole equation for both games. Wouldn't matter how broken the games are in that case.
 
Yeah, sure, everyone in MVC 3 is broken. I mean just look at this huge list of people that made it far into EVO these last few years that had Phoenix Wright or Hsien-Ko or Thor in them:
