A disclaimer. I'm brutal. I won't sugarcoat things, but I'll never call you stupid or degrade you. But I will beat you over the head if you continue making the same mistakes over and over again. Atm, I'm almost done watching your set with TJ and I'm about to throw my stick on the ground with some of the things I've seen.

Like what Mike Z does when he's teaching Peacock's VA.

Go ahead critique. I've changed my playstyle from that set since then
I have about 3 more matches to go through. But while I'm still watching them, explain at how you've 'changed your playstyle'.

to be accurate its more of actively knowing how to reset instead trying to play safe and then get owned when i go to chance things. I also dropped less stuff and cleaned up a good portion of inputs on my end

I think he has seen worse than you. You don't quite meet my definition of brutal :^p

I'm going to keep this short, because going over every little mistake is pretty tedious, annoying, and a waste.
1) You started the round off with something new everytime. That's a good/bad thing. Good in the sense that TJ will NEVER know what you're doing. Bad in the sense that I don't think you had a clue what you were doing half the time and you were just trying things (which is perfectly fine, that's what sets are for). Just saying, if you're looking for a set flowchart plan or if you're trying to random someone like TJ out, It's not gonna work.
2) Why did you try to punish TJ so much with BFF? You probably spent half the meter you accumulated in the set trying to punish TJ from almost full screen with BFF. I want to say it worked 4/20 times...maybe. I understand you're trying to poke holes in his defense, but whiffing BFF and burning your meter isn't the way to do it. Your losses will certainly outweight your wins with that strategy.
3) Your resets were predictable with Filia. TJ caught onto your air-grab resets by the 12th game. On a positive note, I do appreciate your effort in Cerebella and making TJ's Cerebella look Day 1'ish by hitting him with the typical run-stop shenanigans. tl;dr If you don't know alot of resets, space them out or just complete combos and start back at neutral (as bad as that sounds, confirmed damage is alot better than supposed damage against a Peacock, which TJ will DHC out and will heal ALL that red health back).
4) You Raw tag...a lot. Like A LOT. Like, More than TJ ALOT. And it's predictable. Dash up, Raw Tag. Stop it. Never do it again. If you can't get the character out safely, Don't raw tag, you lost Cerebella 4 times b/c you wanted to save your Fukua. That's literally suicide by martyr.
5) There were roughly 5 situations where you could have killed TJ's peacock while just finishing your combo and DHC'ing. Like Sage told you, TJ relies on both Bella and Peacock fairly equally (but it's obvious his Peacock is the anchor). If you have the opportunity to kill one, take it. Peacock builds meter really well. If you have to give him 1 1/2 meters to get the kill....get the kill. Don't put the situation in a 50/50 where he might escape.

There were many other things, but they were small, like execution errors, bad movement, etc etc. I'll be a parrot and repeat what Mike said. Do everything with a purpose. Even if you're trying something new, have a plan behind it. Otherwise when it works, you don't have a fucking clue what to do. And if it doesn't, you don't have anything to fall back on.

Edit 1:If you're feeling I'm being too mean, or if I'm not helping let me know and I'll stop posting on your thread.

Play fukua vs peacoco and you'll see why i did bff.

1. Not concerned with tbh.
2. fukua v. Peacock is awful. The bff worked a lot more because if peacock places bombs then you're in. The gain was equal to consequence.
3. i abandoned resets from people always mashing and from the fact that most of filia resets were lenny able which is why i did airgrabs. Thats fixed

4. Thats against peacock specfically against tj. Tbh my filia is like the only good matchup vs tj if i dont kill peacoco within 20 seconds then i failed.
5. Mostl likely lag didnt let me dhc.

Overall majority of the critique was related to my psyche at the time. I'm past that i believe

Do you know why I never post any set video in my training diary?
Because I know that I could and would ignore any help given by saying that kind of thing.

Either change your mentality or wait for sets you need help about to post.
Or try finding what questions you could ask instead of leaving people with the bare video. In this situation, no surprise people will tell you about the obvious stuff...

1) terrible mentality, that tells me you don't have a basic idea of what you want to do at the beginning of a match
2) I understand the logic behing BFF, but you almost never killed with it, while TJ was able to punish you when he saw it coming
3) I can understand the idea of not wanting to lose to lenny so you used air grabs
4) He punished your raw tags much more than you punished his. Having an idea like 'if i dont kill peacock in 20 seconds' is borderline ludicrous, but to each his own
5) Yeah, lag happens

I won't make any assumptions towards your psyche since I don't know a thing about you, but your decision making wasn't the best, so if you say that's improved, then your gameplay shouldd show it

Yes you're right. i will keep my mouth shut for the majority and keep posting videos. If you guys want to play me and test my abilities then add me so i can exhibit how i eliminate the problem effectively and promptly

Twerk can you post your resume I'm not sure your the man for this job.

<Uzu> Make setplay your neutral and get true 50-50 unmashable resets
<Midiman> i am going to guess this
<Uzu> And kill in as little resets as you possibly can
<Midiman> wow, I totally fuckin' beat to it
<Uzu> It's the true way to play Skullgirls
<Uzu> I'm not kidding nor being sarcastic nor ironic nor anything
<Uzu> Look at SG if it were Marvel 3
<claws> i mean if i can actually be good with filia then sure
<Uzu> The more single player your "game" is the better player you will be
<Stuff`> just be fukua lnl
<Stuff`> same thing
<Uzu> Fukua, Filia, Eliza all good choices
<claws> man this is confusing.
<claws> i just want to play my filia/fukua/bella team
<Uzu> Team is fine
<Uzu> You just need to hmmm
<Uzu> To put it in a better way
<claws> ....
<Uzu> You need to get your strings down
<Uzu> To the point where you can literally autopilot stuff
<Uzu> During neutral
<claws> man fuck it
<claws> *uses copter*
<Uzu> Like, call LNL, crossup, Crossunder, low and so and so
<Uzu> I mean just go watch SonicFox play
<Uzu> Copy his strings
<Midiman> I have to ask, when you say true 50/50 unmashables
<Midiman> you are literally saying "force them to only be able to do <x,y> options and if they choose wrong they will get hit"
<claws> basically crossunder + assist
<Uzu> ^
<Uzu> It doesn't have to be anything fancy

Game 1:Care for using IAD j.mp if you're unsure of the distance. You gave Duck a great opportunity of getting free damage that he didn't have to work for. You handed it right to him.
Good job catching Valentine's repeated upbacks and punishing her accordingly(as well as the Hairball counter). Also very nice burst bait.
Filia wasn't a factor. Also not super sure if you meant to ringlet psych the pbgc fenrir. In either case, good job.
good job keeping the pressure on double, then post-combo you tag to Cerebella. No idea why you did that when you had Duck in the corner; I'm guessing you like the Bella-double matchup more? In either case. Good game, and good counter to Duck's habit of Luger-Cat heads with the LnL

Game 2: Stop calling Bella in Duck's face. It's not getting you a confirm into a combo. You're just killing Bella. Calling her to counter Hornet is fine. Calling her pointblank and making her eat a combo for nothing isn't.
When Duck goes full screen vs your Fukua, you don't have to do anything. You could have literally super jump'd built meter and shadow'd for days until you felt tor ready to go in. Even then, the only reason you had to go in was he had the life lead. Fukua isn't that terrible if someone wants to play lame vs you. Just a thought (you're more experienced with Fukua so i'll leave that judgement call to you)
After Duck's Double DHC, you blocked monster super and just got hit. No clue what was that about. Maybe you weren't expecting it? *shrug*
Stop raw tagging. It's a bad habit.
You're trying to air-super out of the corner vs Valentine with Bomber assist and Scapels. I'm not sure what you're thinking.

Game 3: I like the idea of dash up s.lk, it traded with his s.hk, which is alot better than getting beat altogether (like trying to use IAD j.hp)
Good patience. Duck is struggling to find the time you're committing, and you're avoiding bomber when you go in.
Not sure if you're trying to swag on him with those whiff air-grabs, but that's a dumb way for Duck to get damage on you. Try to not do that.
Good job locking Duck's Filia down and using IAD + simple resets to keep him guessing.

Game 4: Unfortunate updo whiffed, at least Gregor beat out Hornet Bomber. No clue why Duck EKG'd, when you're in the air. Still baffled as to what he was thinking.
Good job using Hairball to get out of the corner. Surprised he didn't J.hk to make sure you couldn't do that.
Again, raw tagging gets you hit + put in the corner. Please stop doing it.
You're pressing buttons vs Updo. Not gonna work most of the time. Better to just pushblock or backdash and get space.
I'm guessing you mashed ringlet psych into gregor so you didn't have any time to react to Filia coming out. Just another reason not to mash supers I guess.
Your bella got hit alot. No idea what pbgc throw was supposed to be. Only invincible command throws she has are DD and USS.

Game 5: it's cool you're trying not to play reckless, but you upbacked yourself into the corner in 6 seconds, albeit after one Hornet bomber. Watch your positioning and don't let pacifism lead to you putting yourself in a worse position.
I'm guessing an execution error where you DHC's before DD's final hit into BFF. Unfortunate.
9:05 Duck didn't push you to the corner. Your upbacks and getting hit by Updo did. Just something to point out.
Bad assist calls gets the sisters killed.
Not sure about your Bella, never really got see her do anything this set.

tl;dr You're getting character killed with bad assist calls, you're still raw tagging, and your execution errors still show up every now then. Your Filia seems to have level'd up, not super sure about your fukua or bella, because I never really got to see them. Overall, great execution improvement and overall decision making. Please keep it up.

Main reason: it crosses up in the corner. always. its also fast. the reason i raw tagged there was because i was watching val load a vial and if i had done bella's tag i wouldve been safe. my fingers went to fukua tag because i was playing a sub team for the majority of casualbats

after fighting tj for a 2nd time i can honestly say i have no hope of fighting against peacock.

he also taunted at the end and promptly left the lobby which was an added elbow to my pride.

So critical moment: i want to play a different team for a main team and am stuck. Help.
You suck at asking for help.
Additional info required.
(doesn't mean I'll help, just telling you that there aren't that many chances that this post will get answered in its present form)

Any of the common anchors works well there - Bella/Soul/Double/Band - and you can probably make some bleh things (eg Fortune) work to some extend

I would think the likely best way to play characters in that team is Fuk/Updo/LnL, but that has Bella whom you apparently don't want and Filia not-point
Dunno how relevant that Filia point is to you; I am not too much of a fan of it, but I guess it can work.. you didn't like Fil with Fuk@L.Shadow either though iirc, so that's a bit of a downside

I suppose try out those 3 other characters I mentioned and if none of them works out either, consider switching team orders (or playing Duo heh) or somesuch?

E: Beowulf lel

L shadow was cool but like....... it didn't help filia neutral? i suppose simply switching the team order STILL does the trick.

I might try out parasoul anchor just for the fun of it but it does seem that bella ends up being the better choice since i had her for so long.

Anyone tried out eliza anchor? how does that work?

i very well could also try out val for the 19th time but i won't get much.

News: Isa said Eliza anchor sucks. FUCK

Edit: @Dagwood i dropped fortune HARD

Today i plan to strim new team and old team and see if i can find some more tech. but i'm starting to realize i might be running out of ideas and that's prolly why asked for a new team.

I also need a way for manhole cover(eliza) to be used during combo

I got bella tech.
Want it?
You'll have to...wait for it.

So after playing many teams and settling with a sub team i can safely say i will still use filia/fukua/bella as my tourny team.

There more things i want to say regarding sg in general from a gameplay standpoint but i'll wait a while and see if i still feel the same

Teams:
Main: Filia/Fukua/Bella

Subs:
Parasoul/Squigly/Bella
Fortune/Filia/Bella or Fortune/Parasoul/Fukua

Goals:Be more attentive with my defense and pick more simple yet effective combo routes and stop trying to style and remember the weights when i do combos at times.
