You say unecessary but the new female and new endings add more content to the game. None of the old content was removed in favor of the new stuff and without getting into spoilers, Alex is actually a good edition that actually fits and provides solid reasons to add in the new endings.
those characters arent being removed, the art is being updated. thats not the same thing. plus, considering the areas got a new color palette, the art would need an update anyway so you dont have characters who were designed for a more muted color scheme to clash against the more vibrant one. I'm referring to the new good ending content not removing the original endings. like, everybody kept saying "Alex shouldnt be able to be here without a suit" and yet they give an explanation on why she can exist in that area without a suit. every other big SMT fan I've ever talked to about this says its very faithful to the original and loves it. hell, they even animated the sprites of the demons so you don't just have to stare at still images of your party while attacks are going on.

They did alter at least one of them though, for the worse. I'm not even sure what to take away from that since it provides no information beyond "I talked to a guy and they said it was cool". I've never said the game was bad in fact, most of my posts were cautious optimism, new art for characters suck or "new character art sucks but [cautious optimism]". I haven't even played it yet so there is no way I'd say that it's bad, it's probably good, it's fucking SJ. At worst they made it looks somewhat worse, added demons I like, added demons I don't like, added side content that may or may not be quality, I have no idea. You really do like to throw the words "elitist" and "elitism" around whenever someone doesn't share your opinion, or even just seems to not share your opinion, and I find it rather baffling, you usually seem like a cool enough person when Megaten is not the discussion topic.
I will admit I am a bit hard on everybody here for the dedication they have to Kaneko, but you guys gotta admit it can become a bit of a broken record. from all the reviews I have seen from it, both from people who played the first Strange Journey and newcomers, the game is being very positively received. and as for the law ending changes, the actual original ending is pretty much the same, just with some updated visuals. and i will admit I do get pissy when it comes to Megaten but the conversations always devolve into "the art is bad because so-and-so is or isn't doing it" whenever I or anybody else brings up any game in the franchise, not to say you are part of that Aden.

Waifu factor to drum up sales, it's why Marie exists.. Not that it matters to me. I didn't my time with strange journey getting all 3 route endings and I'm not doing it again just to get a revamp. And the best Strange Journey Waifu will always be Arthur. Gore is second place and Doppelganger my personal third.

I'm a fan of the Etrian Odyssey series but I never took the plunge into PersonaQ. Was it any good? I've heard conflicting things about it, mostly saying it's incredibly easy and persona junctioning or something wasn't really balanced that well.
it's pretty easy to bust and Aigis just breaks the game over her knee generally Naoto is also pretty ridic thanks to IK magic being good, Binds being godly, and sub-personas being able to cover her weaknesses
Wasn’t Naoto super fast, too, meaning that she could almost always get the first strike? Also, Aigis can hit the stat cap for strength via normal leveling, which no other character can do with any other stat. That says it all, imo.

For all i remember, the closest of "hate" i've ever seen about it was "if..." becoming a Duke Nuken Forever kind of joke because it was getting near 10 years with only teasers leading nowhere. Anyone got "proof" of this "hate" he received and how it's officially something of the "community" (whatever that means)?
It's odd he also refused to acknowledge that SMT 1 already got multiple patches from other groups with Orden's being the current gold standard. But I got nothing on the "hate" he received other than people asking when 'If...' was going to come out for years. The biggest problem the MT community has is the mainline vs Persona divide. And the divide between old atlus and nu-Atlus.
