So seeing all of this Disgaea talk made me want to represent my all-time favorite tRPG and one of my all-time favorite games.

Shining Force 1 and 2.

Any fans?

For those who haven't played them (they were originally on the Genesis), Steam sells them (along with Ecco the dolphin and Phantasy Star II, III, and IV!).

Shining Force 1 is easily one of my favorite games. It was one of the first RPGs that I played, and really got me into gaming, and I replay it every once in a while. Never played 2 though.

Tao is the best.

You crazy. Everyone knows it is Zylo or Pelle.

Really though, check out II. I loved it.

Fire Emblem did come out first as Japanese only games.

That said, I much prefer Shining Force. It oozes character. I fully admit, I may be biased, but SFII is truly one of the best games of all time.

I understand Zylo, but Pelle? Pelle of all people! Bleu and Kane got it goin on.

And I will check 2 out sometime soon, probably after I replay 1 again, which won't be too long from now.

Hell yeah, I loved Shining Force! Haven't played it in awhile, though. :\
 
this was like, the only game that made me jealous of my friend's genesis as a kid (i had SNES)
Shining Force 2, that is. Amazing game, i replayed it on emulator recently. Never played the others in the series.
