Skullbats PC NA/SA

Hey so I won't be able to do PC SB for a lil bit because my Square button broke while trying to climb out the boss pit in Indivisible (yes, I'm serious)

I'll be back after I buy a new controller (RIP Afterglow I went to Combo Breaker with)

Sidenote: I set the action button to L2 and eventually got out and found both secrets so yay

Okay, everything's all scheduled out, the top 8 players from the season will play in one last traditional double elim tournament style now that the season is over. The top 8 will be streamed tomorrow, the 5th, at 4 pm EST. Don't know which stream yet but I'll make another post when it starts with the stream, but it'll either be eightysixed or my twitch.

I'll stick to the prizes I said before; I'll give a $30 - $13 - $7 prize for the top 3 of the top 8 cause why not.

Whoopsie, got so caught up in Capcom Cup I forgot to post results. Archive of the whole thing is here.

Since there was Capcom Cup this week + NEC next week + a wedding I'll attend the week after, we'll just hold off the next ranked Season in the new year. Whenever I'll be around I cna setup Casual bats but I can't for a while so that would have to fall on someone else.

Yeah sorry about that, normally when there's a casualbats/seaosnbats going on there's an event or announcement on the steam group page that you can check to make sure if it will happen for future reference. I won't be around the next couple of weeks for PCBats so someone else would have to run them if everyone wanted to do them.
 
I will host casualbats at normal time, sunday 8pm EST, for those of us not going to NEC.

This is old, but the new Season has been going on so far, same system and point distribution as last time. Here's the link for the google doc where point's are being totaled, and here's the link for the challonge if people want to keep up with the brackets (except Week 2, which is here, idk how it didn't get in the sbats group).

Yeah I put in a (?) 7th Week (?) in there tentatively, since the point spread right now is fairly even amoung a bunch of players. If it gets to Week 6 and it's still super close, I'll think about trying 7 weeks ala Skullbats EU if that'll help the point spread. No guarantees though.

Also I basically decided that there won't be a cash prize, or if there will be maybe it'll only be on certain seasons (10, 15, etc), since it didn't seem like anyone cared and paying people was more complicated for weird reasons.

While it isn't that start of the season technically, it basically is as far as scorekeeping so I'm gonna take this time to add in a new general rule:

-if you have been dropping out multiple times consecutively in the middle of the brackets, ~3 times in a row or if you're a repeat offender, and you haven't talked to me or anyone in advance about this if it's an IRL issue, then we're not gonna put you in brackets anymore. People leaving brackets gets really confusing in terms of keeping track of people, and messes with the brackets itself, and it's especially annoying when it's the same people doing this.

Note that it's still okay to leave in the middle if something comes up, or if you're just having a particularly bad day. This is mainly about people who repeatedly will show up and then drop out, usually in succession. The best thing to do in any case is send me a direct message before the brackets start if you think something will come up, and if you have to leave suddenly, it's preferred to send me a direct message to guarantee that I'll see it (or to dag too).

It was hosted "by fenster" rather than "by Skullbats PC".
You can go into the week 2 challonge and pick Settings from the left-side list.
Then in the list in the Host position switch from fenster to Skullbats PC -> Save Changes.
The event will now be included in the collective Skullbats challonge.

Just letting you guys know, I won't be streaming the event this sunday. Reason? Super Bowl Sunday watching with the family.
 
I was going to look have to look into changing more things about Sbats before the new season, so most likely I'll just make a new thread (unless I can get a mod to shuffle things around, but that might be more complicated so I was gonna hold off on that).

In the meantime though, Season 11 ended, results from top 8:

Until things are settled with new thread or any new changes, casualbats before the new season, but I hope it'll start back up after this week.

Hi, I'd like to come to SkullBats this week, but due to my work schedule I cannot be certain if I can show up for other SkullBats events. Will this create a problem? This is one of the few weeks where I won't be working Sunday evening. Apart from that, everything in the OP still stands, Beta, join chat before the event starts and you're all set?

and yes the OP is outdated, we're not playing on Beta anymore since it's the same as the regular version. We haven't played on beta since Robo came out



Just join the steam group in the OP, and join the chat room before 8pm eastern,sunday and you're in
