A wild bootleg trailer has appeared... (and it belongs in this thread. lol)

Beowulf is Daisuke Ono.

Credits include Jotaro Kujo from the recent Jojo's Bizarre Adventure exploits, Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji), El Fuerte from SF4 (which I hadn't noticed for some reason), Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara!!, Sinbad from Magi, and a lot of other stuff. He's been around for a while.

It kind of irks me that the trailer says things like "Control one of these scary and cute beautiful young girls and put on a showy battle."

...Like half the cast doesn't really fit that description. Sell the product for what it really is. Don't try to Trojan horse it.

I know who they're trying to market to, but it's like they're saying it while blatant showing things that aren't that at the same time. I mean we all know that Beowulf, Double, Valentine, Big Band, Parasoul, Ms. Fortune, and Eliza are totes kawaii school girls at heart, but come on now. lol

most of the cast falls into a scary, cute or beautiful category and the battles can be showy so I don't think its misleading.

The trailer specifically uses the word for young girls, though. Valentine is a grown-ass woman for example. Beowulf and Big Band aren't even female. It's just not the term I would use cause it automatically fridges those characters.

They didn't commit treason or anything.

Filia, Cerebella, and, I guess to an extent, Squigly are the game's mascots. Marie's still the main villain, no matter how much cooler and more proactive Valentine, Double, and Eliza are. Main description's likely to match those, like how Street Fighter's a "Ryu and Ken Game" despite M. Bison and Zangief.

I really like all of the Japanese voices, with the exception of Squigly and Peacock. Otherwise they all sound good.

I always preferred box arts that focus on few characters, but with better detail then a bunch of them where most have little detail. Guess they are gonna use Filia/Squigly as the mascots for their marketing. Assuming this isn't placeholder art of course.

Double post, but looked more into this and it looks like there are multiple versions [eight?] to buy for PS4/Vita

I guess Arc Sys is doing a LE dubbed "Skull Heart Box" which has the different art/higher price for both PS4/Vita? Don't know what is gonna be in it though besides new box art. There are also the regular editions for PS4/Vita that has the normal 2nd Encore artwork. Then there is mention of custom themes for both versions? Probably will wait until they explain it more.

It's extra funny because all of the Japanese people on there are like "We can still use the English voices, right? lol
 
This Japanese VA is more to people that never played the game there.

I imagine that most fans will only play on english.

In general, the voices are fitting, the only one that was kinda weird was painwheel, but it looks like a job well done.
 
Does the Vita have region locking? If the JP voices never make it to PC as dlc or something (which, I may not remember right, but I thought was said to be unlikely?) maybe I'll just get the JP Vita version for fun.
 
Waiting to preorder of Amiami, any official link about retail distribution? i know that Play-Asia, Amazon.JP get it.
