Primarily a Parasoul, Eliza, and Fukua player, but i have a little bit of experience with Painwheel...

I mostly need help with how her combo flow works as well as some typed up combos for the most recent PS3 version of the game.

Anybody wanna help?

I play solo-Wheel almost exclusively.

I'm only on Steam though, tbh. Though if you have Steam, you can feel free to add me there and shoot me any questions you have.

Some things:

But first, a caveat: solo PW is lacking some fairly fundamental things (reversal being the big one), so she scales a lot slower than if you had picked another solo character. If for some reason it has to be PW (I get it. I adore her aesthetic.), welcome and prepare for a frustrating start. Get very zen about losing (good advice, period).

Not sure how your execution is, but get used to fly cancels. Something like lk.buer xx fly > 3j.lk is pretty standard. The bnb in the link Caio posted is pretty standard (not my favorite, but let's just get one combo first, eh?). Pretty universal though definitely easier to bring some over others back to earth at the end of it.

Ignore the corner combo for now.

My biggest advice over even having a good bnb is learning to convert off of everything. PWs the type of character that will get a ton of stray hits and the good PWs turn those into damage. Watch Elda play. If his PW hits you, you're in a combo with almost no exceptions. This is, in my opinion, the true strength of PW.

Especially focus on j.mp conversions. Typically it will be j.mp xx fly > (2/3/6/9)j.mk and depending on height/distance, another xx fly > j.mk. Directions to push and whether you need 1 or 2 j.mk will come with experience and vary character to character.

Finally how combo flow works: Pretty freaking basic to be honest. As per usual, strong single hits at the start. Multihits toward the end. Buer's are always good regardless of scaling. And PWs most general BnB typically look like [ground]>[ground]>[launch+ air chain]>[ground] with fly cancels and lk.nails being how you move from chain to chain.

Anyway, I hope some or all of this helps. Good luck.
