Well, Agent 3's not at the END. To clarify, this is the trailer and this is the Nintendo Direct preview. The trailer was Pearl and Marina's new song, which is about half "walking through the train" (with Agent 3 near the end of the train) and half in-game footage. I noticed her the first time, she wasn't in focus for that long but I recognized the suit immediately.

Oh yeah, should also note that the Direct footage has some dialogue where Pearl and Marina are talking to Cuttlefish through radio/walkie-talkie, but they don't seem to know him. On the JP site, they're also given the cover names MC Princess and DJ E-DA (based off Hime and Ida; I hope the localization still calls Pearl "Princess"). So... they might not be Agents 5 and 6? Now I'm assuming that Cuttlefish named you "Agent 8" because you're an octopus, and there is no mysterious Agent 7.

Once you meet a certain condition after the V.3.0 update, Callie of the Squid Sisters will appear in Tentakeel Outpost in Octo Canyon. Given how famous the Squid Sisters are in the Inkling world, this must be a good place to avoid being mobbed by fans. Callie will also offer recent news about Agent 4.

So... Let me get this straight. The Octo Expansion DLC is supposed to connect the interlinks of how the Inklings and Octarians will get along in peace. However... we all know that DJ Octavio can't be saved from his twisted desire to steal the Great Zapfish.

Which reminds me, is there a sunken scroll that describes ANYTHING on how corrupt Octavio is?

  • MARINA CAN’T SUPERJUMP SO SHE USES THE TRAIN.(Clarification: the question was “If inklings superjump to maps that are geographically farther away, how does Marina travel? The initial answer was “she goes by train,” then later notes “she has a lot of luggage like her DJ set.” Whether or not she can’t or won’t superjump is vague.

  • Approximately only 1 in every 1000 players is S+40 to S+50 in Ranked.

  • Approximately 1 in every 10+ players is S+.

  • Approximately 80% of players are rank A or below.

  • 90% of S+ players are within a +/-150 “hidden ranked power” range.

  • Matching grabs 8 players of similar “hidden ranked power”, then “it makes sure there aren’t too many chargers on one team.”

  • Matching does not consider win/lose streaks directly.

  • The rank meter cracking is dependent on the enemy team’s “hidden ranked power” compared to your team’s. They phrased it as “damage” to the meter, so it may not be a binary “you get a crack or no crack per loss” type of deal.

  • “You may get cracks for consecutive losses when you are near your peak “hidden ranked power”. Although you may be struggling in that personal peak power range, it may be their normal range for other players. In this way, it sort of places you to a ‘proper’ rank.”

  • The effect from a drink ticket do not stack with the affinity brand, but the chance/probability itself is higher than that of the affinity brand.

  • Q: Why are there jellyfish spectators now? In Splatoon 1, you mentioned that there weren’t any spectators because ranked battles were “an underground battle”? A1: Ranked battles are inching their way towards becoming a competitive event. Just like freestyle skateboarding became a competitive event.
    A2: It’s like the jellyfish are starting to notice (lol). They are gradually getting interested. It used to be that the inklings were just doing their thing, but now it’s starting to get recognized.

  • Q: There seem to be shops (like the sushi place in The Reef) where the inklings have Turf Wars and Ranked Battles. What do the workers/employees think when battles are happening right in front of their stores?
    A1: For the inklings, Turf Wars means much more than just a sport. It is like Brazil where soccer has a cultural aspect. So it is accepted in society and they only think “Yup, they’re young. They do this.” Though the owner of the sushi place may dislike it slightly.
    A2: Rather than starting as a sport, Turf Wars started from the instinctive territorial conflict of inklings with forcibly added rules and regulations. So it can’t be helped. By letting them have Turf Wars, it dissipates their combative spirit.

  • JELFONZO (S2 clothes shop owner) WAS ASEXUALLY REPRODUCED BY JELONZO (S1 clothes shop owner).

  • Murch and Spyke’s hometowns were close by, and Murch started to work for him after being inspired by Spyke’s success.

  • Spyke made enough money in S1 that he doesn’t have to work anymore, but continues to work on a laptop at a cafe.

  • Q: Tell us more about Flow (Headspace)
    A: She was originally traveling as a working holiday, and met the owner of Headspace during her travels. She was liked by the owner, and started working there. She symbolizes the “flow” of people in a populated urban city.

  • Q: Tell us more about Bisk (Shella Fresh)
    A: He was dramatic from the moment of his birth. He came here from a pretty cold country, leaving his lover to pursue his band career.

  • Q: What’s the lanyard-like thing on the turtle monument in the Square?
    A: Oh, that was a decoration used as a prop for commercials filmed in the past, but the inklings forgot to remove it afterwards.

  • Mystery Zone maps may become permanently playable in the future, but for now they want to preserve the exclusivity to Splatfests.

  • Salmonid and Boss salmonid forms are dependent on the environment they grew up in.

  • There is a mutual relationship between Salmonids and Octarians. Salmonids provide eggs that can be used as energy, and the Octarians provide technology/machinery/weaponry.

  • Q: Mr. Grizz is always only heard, but is he remotely observing the workplace?
    A: “Hmm, is he even looking? His voice may be a programmed text-to-speech software...”

  • More Grizz Co weapons may be included.

Octolings with Salmonids is iiiinteresting. Hopefully we'll learn more exploring the Deep Sea Metro.

Aside from the expansion DLC, we have something less important, but just as good. Ammo Knights has unveiled the Zink Mini Splatling for those who just can't get enough heavy weaponry! Complete with Curling Bombs to cover track, and Inkstorm to cover even more track, and rain on your opponent's parade! Keep splattin' like champs, everysquid!

[Octo] Each station has a ticket gate, which leads to an experimental facility from here.
You can challenge using "NAMACO points" charged on the NAMACO card by ticket gate.
If you clear the challenge, you will receive "Clear Houses".
It seems that the amount of points you get is different depending on the bukki you use.

Hm... guess weapon choice is like a difficulty select. AND Sub Weapon choice! Wonder if the card points are required for some collectibles this time around.

When Ver.3.0 releases, more than 100 pieces of gear will be added to the Splatoon 2. The update will include brand-new items as well as gear that appeared in the first game. Why not try out some new spring styles?

This is the Telephone. It provides Agent 8 with a CQ-80 device and CQ Card, essential items for exploring the underground world. The phone speaks as if it knows a lot of things…

The CQ-80 is an essential tool for exploring the underground test facility. When aboard a Deepsea Metro subway train, you can use the CQ-80 to view the subway map. Choose a station on the map, and the train will take you there.
