Actually...maybe or at least something canon. I don't think Robo fortune is going to be the last SG thing maybe we will get a canon story who know. but I will be dissapointed if the last SG DLC is robo. but I dont think SG is done yet.

Eh you know what after thinking about it more and seeing other peoples opinions the story mode wasn't so bad. I got a good laugh out of the intro (If someone can make a Brain Drain business tie wallpaper I would love that). Still think there should've been one pun in the fortune fight but other then that the story was fine.

Loved the Terminator references, loved seeing Brain Drain in action, thought the art of Lab 0 was really, really cool, loved seeing almost every character being self-aware. (Then again, fiction-bots do have an uncanny knack for developing self awareness...) Weird that we didn't fight Double. Also weird that we fought Beowulf and Eliza out of nowhere, and didn't even talk to Painwheel when we fought her. (Even just delivering Brain Drain's "Return my calls" would've been great.) Still, I thought every line was utter gold.

Also, was the conversation with Marie supposed to be on a plain black background? Other characters had an image of the Catacombs, which only showed up for Robo when Marie did her usual Jazz Hands of Doom...

Guys, it finally happened. My dream has been realized. Big Boss Adam has arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other highlights include Robo's story mode turning into a Miyazaki film (Naussica of the Valley of the Wind) and Annie triggering an all-out attack against the wall of fire and destruction.

I'm satisfied. Robo's story mode was actually funny, it was satisfying to subject Marie to :QCF:+:HP: Beam Spam until she was dead. and I got to see one of my top IGG character pics be cool. Thanks Lab Zero and when Indivisible's fundraiser starts I'll be there on the front lines unlike last time.

I found a playthrough, in case anyone hasn't seen this monstrosity wonderful playthrough.
Good thing I don't think any of this nonsense is canon.

Given how that scene it plays out, I wanna say it was intentional, to set the mood of the actually-blatant 4th walling, before going back to the catacombs background

Haven't had a chance to play through it myself, but if hearsay from my friend is anything to go by it's pretty fuckin' 11/10.

Though, I will say if this is the end of Skillgrills (for nowat least, who knows what the future may hold) some sorta story or comic or somethin' to wrap up the canon plotline would be pretty nice.

Beowulf wasn't there because it was supposed to be "Final charge of the characters that never made it into the game" with Annie leading because she's most popular.
Beowulf's in the game with the best story on the roster, I'd rather have that than a cameo.
 
Loved this story. Fun and light.... minus mecha take over, which i find funny also but i have a morbid sense of humor.

But what a cameo it was, it's almost like how in Beowulf's story Annies cameo completely upstaged him....

Also, that cool red/black Robo palette ended up being plot relevant after all. Not quite a Brain Drain reference as I thought, but still way cool.

Why do my favorite characters keep killing each other? Oh, right, it's a fighting game...

Im going to say it now..Big band Voiced story mode is probably one of the greatest story modes in game. because of Big Band's godlike voice.
