Squigly Ms. Fortune Painwheel
--- The Scrub Zone ---

I love Skull Girls. After seeing a video on the game I immediately bought it on steam and loved every second of it. As of right now I've only had it for a week or two. I am extremely new not only to this game, but to the genre as a whole. (smash bros is my only other fighter) My skills at the game are quite underdeveloped, but I'm starting to get the hang of it, and my quarter circle skills are developing (now if only I could get those z dragon punches down...)

However. I still suck.

Against story mode/ arcade mode I struggle even on the easy difficulty, haven't even looked at online matches yet. Now it may be a bit early for this sort of doubt, and I recognize that. This is why I've set myself a goal. "Get good" I am going to play this game everyday as best I can and develop enough skill and experience and one day, maybe, just maybe go competitive.

---Dojo Drills and Stuff---

So I've posted some mish-mash beginner tip requests on some of the other threads, but after checking out the link to this sub-category I realize my stuff would be more appropriate to put here. So I'm going to recap a few questions that I might want elaborated and add a few more.

~Quarter Circles.
Getting better at these. If you have any tips to help though they are welcome.

~Dragon punch / z.
These are so hard to input in a quick fashion (anti-air) any tips?

~Training Mode Settings
I like the save state feature with the select button, however is there a way to set a new one during the session?

Most importantly-
~~~Bread And Butters.
So I'm getting better at inputs, and after the (surprisingly difficult) tutorials, I am excited to put some of these crazy cancels and chains to use. However I don't really know any where to find good combos. Especially easy, beginner combos (5-7 moves).
So if you have any simple things, a jab combo, or a simple chain, that would be useful.
I'm experimenting with a lot of characters and found some that I like.
(My two favorites as of now)
-Painwheel
-Miss Fortune
and then in order of play style (I love all the characters as concepts! Just don't have synergy with some.)
-Cerebella
-Squigly
-Filia
-Eliza
-Big Band
-Valentine
-Beowulf
as for ... I don't have much interest, but I might look into them.
-Peacock
-Parasoul
-Double
-Fukua
Having a list of quick combos to practice will help me grasp the controls even better and get me started on some harder hitting strategies. Thanks for any input.
