I got Kajetokun (aka the Over 9000 guy) to play my stage on stream.

I think it's kinda bad and way too hard (next one will be easier), but I'm glad he enjoyed it enough to see it through to the end, compared to the previous "hard" stages he quit on nearly instantly for being stupid.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Went and made a real stage for once. It's pretty simple. and imitates a Mario stage well I think.

Edit: Was bored and got some new toys to mess with:

edit2:

edit3: 2 new stages. Both Mario-esk style, to balance out my stage options. So it stands at 4 Mario-esk, 4 Tough (well, 3 tough, 1 puzzle)

Oh, I've done a good one this time.

Meet: HALF-MINUTE MARIO - ECD4-0000-0091-E8F2

DC32 - 0000 - 0073 - D6A9

It's not done yet but I hope it pisses you off.

:V

Here is something that I made.

Koopa Keep: DD53-0000-0095-5564

I finally got enough tools to match my lofty level dreams 0:
DDBD-0000-00A9-E38F

Bowser has mobilized his air fleet and is attacking the villages!! Mario is panicking, trying to figure out a way to stop him. The Fleet just happens to be flying over where a Warp Pipe in the sky is. Mario needs to act fast or else Bowser will destroy more villages!

So, I made a new stage finally, and wanted to tell a lil tale with it! Had an idea for an air ship stage but also wanted a boss fight, so I mashed them together for this really tough stage.

edit:

Solution for Extreme Ghost house. I got more coming for the other stages of mine.

edit 2:
New stage:

edit3: Updated Edit 2 since I had to fix the stage a bit lol

Here's another one: Frantic Flight!

yo post here when you guys beat panga's levels

yo post here when you guys beat panga's levels
I've beaten Skyzo. Granted, that's the "easy" one.

Anyway, I've made a lot and even wrote up full descriptions for all of them. Putting it behind the spoiler tags 'cause it's a long list.

  • Catch!
  • Puzzle, easy
  • DC45-0000-0023-F778
Babby's first level, tried to see what I could come up with using only the starter pieces. I don't think it's anything too special, though it's somehow one of my most starred. There's no secrets to be found in this one, sorry.

  • Tear Down This Wall!
  • Action/puzzle, hard
  • 70C4-0000-0036-2ED2
Use the Thwomps to smash the bricks that are in your way. Word of caution, patience is key, try to be hasty or greedy and you'll probably end up getting hit (though if you're clever enough there is one trick to save time). There's two hidden 1-ups to find, maybe an extra mushroom too, but only try to go for the top of the flagpole for your third if you feel very, very brave!
After no one beat the first version, I reuploaded one with two fewer Thwomps (one in the middle and one at the end) and one less layer of bricks on the last segment, but then added a jumbo Thwomp because it'd look cool but also be fast to get past. Also moved the second 1-up, which in hindsight makes the bridge unnecessary.

  • Wall Kicks Will Work
  • Pseudo-autoscroller, hard
  • 22B8-0000-0030-8B2F
Fairly straightforward, just walljump between the moving walls until you get the goal. Oh, and don't get hit - there's spikes scattered around the top and enemies at the bottom, take whichever route you think will be easier. There's a mushroom up top if you need it, and again two 1-ups to find (plus the flagpole). If you hesitate and end up missing the walls at the start, just take the door to reset them.

  • Atop the Thwomps
  • Action, easy
  • 9D1B-0000-003B-272C
Another Thwomp-themed level, this one's a lot easier than I wanted it to be as I had to throw out some ideas that turned out just too hard. Ah well, maybe this way the average player will actually finish it instead of skipping it because they're trying to rush 100 Mario Challenge. Two 1-ups are in painfully obvious locations, but the third is very well hidden, props to whoever can spot it.

  • Sinusoidal
  • Autoscroller, medium
  • 16CB-0000-003D-0FF1
Very simple, just playing around with making wavy patterns out of different objects. Whee. Don't forget to find both 1-ups and hit the top of the flagpole while you're at it.

  • Can't... Quite... Reach...
  • Puzzle, medium
  • v2: A07C-0000-0048-7553 v1: 4833-0000-003F-9324
An extended remake of my first level (DC45-0000-0023-F778 if you wanna see that one, it's about as interesting as you'd expect from a level using only the first pieces you start with), it's a series of puzzles involving stuff just out of reach. Yet again, try to find the two hidden 1-ups and hit the top of the goalpost.
v2 redesigns that first puzzle I wasn't happy with. The hidden vine that led to the 1-up is now in plain sight, and that's where you get your P-Switch (The 1-up, of course, has moved). This way you don't have to worry about timing the Goomba + P-Switch together, and now you can't just steal it with a running jump either. I also added some Boos to make a spookier Ghost House.

  • One-Way Maze
  • Puzzle, very easy
  • BDF9-0000-005E-FCFE
An entire maze made out of one-way gates is a lot harder to wrap your head around than it sounds, arranging it and ensuring the paths made sense has left me with a headache. The limit on how many of these I can have in a level forced me to keep it small, but that's probably best for a simple gimmick level. I just hope it's not as painful to play as it was to make!
As always, I've hidden a few secrets, even though it may not look like there was much room to hide. You can exit the maze from the top or bottom, but obviously only the upper route can hit the top of the flagpole. There's also two 1-ups to find, and maybe something else too...

  • Skyride
  • Pseudo-autoscroller, very hard
  • 2BDC-0000-0066-0A85
Saw a cool tutorial on /r/mariomaker on making these long 'snake' platforms and wanted to do something with it. That something turned out to easily be my hardest level yet, but I spent a while fine-tuning each and every obstacle to make sure they're all fair. Good luck, and don't forget to find the hidden 1-ups!
I'm thinking of going back and making an alternate easy mode version of this, so that the average 100 Mario player could enjoy it (don't worry, I'm not replacing the original, just posting a second version). Once it's gotten more plays I'll look at where the most deaths are and nerf those spots.

  • One-Way Maze 2
  • Puzzle, medium
  • CD45-0000-006A-103F
Liked the first one so much I did another. This time there's a ceiling so you can't jump over the maze, and by not making the floor out of one-way gates I freed up room to make it longer. Then a pipe takes you to an underwater version, no more gravity to deal with but instead there's enemies to avoid. Also two 1-ups as usual.

  • The Second Amendment
  • Action, hard
  • 1CD4-0000-006B-0EB9
These enemies are armed! They insist it's for self-defense, but with their heads protected you won't be able to hurt them anyway. Just worry about defending yourself long enough to find all three hidden 1-ups!

  • Mini-puzzle: Through the Cracks
  • Puzzle, very easy
  • Original: F3BF-0000-0075-CFF4 +: 1286-0000-0078-AAD7
Just a quickie showcasing a little trick I found with invisible blocks. Unfortunately there wasn't much room here to hide 1-ups like I normally do... just kidding, I still hid 'em anyway.
The + version shows that simply making the diagonal thicker does not necessarily prevent this trick from working! How you actually can prevent it will be left as an exercise for the reader.

  • Mini-Kaizo: MissingNOOOOOOOO!
  • Kaizo
  • 3643-0000-007C-1071
I love Kaizo levels, it takes a lot of craftsmanship to engineer truly good bullshit. But I just don't have the patience for long ones that require you to do a whole lot of things all in a row, I often end up doing just the first segment and then calling it quits.
So for my take on it, I thought I'd just make a quick little bite-sized one that's only one screen wide. Don't let that size fool you, I've packed as much insanity as I can into this single screen! This time the 1-ups are in plain sight, just finish it and you've earned them. I also put in a pipe to an empty room you can sign Miiverse posts in to brag about beating it, and one at the start that lets you get a peek at them. See if you can get into the winners' room and leave your mark!
First version actually ended up being too easy, so I went back and made a number of changes. Original version took me only 10 minutes to clear and upload and 5 minutes to do a second time to put my own post in the winners' room, at which point I realized I needed to make some revisions. New and improved one took 2 hours 40 minutes to get the reupload, I think that's hard enough this time!

  • Submarine Shmup
  • Autoscroller, medium
  • A30F-0000-008B-01AF
My second ever level was an absolute mess as I kept adding in newly unlocked stuff as I went along. I ended it with a ton of Lakitus throwing various giant enemies, thinking it'd be fun to give the player lots and lots of stuff to shoot at. No, that wasn't fun at all, it was just a mess. It was kind of embarrassing to leave this one up when it's everything I hate seeing elsewhere.
I was about to just delete it and pretend it never happened, but started to think the beginning wasn't too bad and maybe it could be salvageable if I just redid the end. So I replaced it with a proper boss fight, and made some tweaks to the main level to space things out more and make it a bit easier. And like all my other levels, I've now added two hidden 1-ups, plus an extra secret for those who want a challenge.

  • Yoshi's Great Escape
  • Puzzle, medium
  • v2: 2716-0000-00A6-5545 v1: 3E1E-0000-009F-C63A
I've put together a series of puzzles using all kinds of Yoshi tricks. You'll also have to split up sometimes to utilize things that you can't do while riding Yoshi, then find a way to reunite. But you'll both get out of here together, right? Perhaps it might help to keep an eye out for some secrets along the way...
Note: Normally I always make sure all required objects respawn so the player can't get stuck, but for thematic reasons you're only getting one Yoshi here. So don't lose him! You gotta get out together!
v2 fixes... quite a bunch of flaws with the original. Moved the start to manipulate the camera, moved the end so it's not a blind jump, fixed getting stuck in a secret room and moved it so it's not mistaken for the main path, no longer require the player to jump on a saw since some don't know you can do that (now it's just for the secret), and some other little adjustments.

If you want just the highlights, I'm proudest of Yoshi's Great Escape, The Second Amendment, and Skyride. And the Kaizo if you're into that sort of thing.

"Finally"? XD It's been here for a month XD I'll cue up one of the stages then play from your list later. Typing all that gets troublesome.. glad they have the "follow" option.

I need to sit down and record the new stages I've made.. already ran out of uploaded videos from my list...

I've been watching his stream off and on all week, so disappointed I missed teh urn.

Hey guys. The patch is here! CHECKPOINTS =D

...also it fixed the "invisible Block" glitch.. fuck.. gotta go back and fix my stage...

They ruined the block glitch, but it's still possible to freeze the game with underwater pipes. Great job Nintendo.

Here's a new course.

Your Choice?: 0A9B-0000-00D6-DFFC

I tried to do a thing but it turned out to not work so now I'm just staring at a blank canvas with no ideas left. I'm all tapped out of inspiration.

I started to stick with making newer versions of stages I've already made, like new versions of Companion Shell and Find the Keys.

Oh man, I was planning on doing an extended version of The Second Amendment but then forgot all about it, thank you for jogging my memory. The original was kinda short, so now that checkpoints are a thing I just stuck one where the old level ended and added more after it. The new second half is meant to be a fair bit harder, so good luck.

Noticed you played a few of mine, so I added you as a follow and will play some later. I did notice you have both original and v2 of your stages. Any reason? If v2 just fixes a few things, it's safe to delete the older ones as you don't loose the stars from it.

Here is Koopa Keep with a Checkpoint:

Eh, as long as I've got enough upload slots to fit them all I just leave 'em, unless there's something super broken that needs to be erased before anyone else sees it. Don't wanna lose the comments and such they got, and by having more levels up they can hopefully continue gathering more stars if people randomly stumble across them in 100 Mario. And for one of them, someone actually said they liked the one puzzle that I wasn't happy with and wanted to redo in v2.
