Eh, we have completely different ideas.
You're not really adding anything, you're completely changing it.
Which is fine but it's not what I have in mind.

Ohhhhhh, I misread your idea, whoops.
    :PUN:

So this would be a game where Link and Zelda depend on each other? Like, game over if either player dies?

@Ruin, I would like to hear your idea.

Guys what if they made a Zelda game where it plays like Dynasty Warriors and you can play as Link, Zelda, Ganondorf--oh wait.

    Booyaka let's do this shit

Basically my idea boils down to a legend of zelda game in which Link and Zelda have their own separate scenarios with different playstyles and gameplay focuses with Link's scenario having a focus on "strength" and "resourcefulness" with his strong combat making use of powerful weapons and multiple tools, with an additional focus on world-building by way of having the character of Link being an established figure in the world with established relationships to other characters and his helping the people of Hyrule through a number of vast and interconnected sidequests with a colorful cast of familiar and new NPCs
Zelda's gameplay has a focus on "agility" and "magic" with Zelda being a swift and graceful fighter who relies less on a vast arsenal and more on her natural evasiveness and large swathe of magical spells at her disposal. While Link's story is a more down to earth story focusing on the characters in a large world, Zelda's story is more of a fantastic political drama that delves into the history and dubious morality of the past generations of rulers and tells of Zelda's own journey following a faking of her own death during an attack on the castle that also killed the King of Hyrule, resulting in a large coverup as Zelda hides away in the shadows, working to gain the strength to repel the attacking forces and ascend to the throne as Queen.

    and that's just the basics
I can go on for a few more paragraphs on Link and Zelda as characters and the characters in the world
    and the gameplay
    and a lot
    but I won't press it
    much
    I'm pressing it
but I can shut up if you want me to

    MORE STUFF WOO
okay lemme get my notes together
I'm gonna start with Link and Zelda as characters

Link is a young woodsman who lives on the outskirts of Hyrule City with his only remaining family: his grandmother. Link's parents were stirred to adventure one day and left Link in his grandmother's care, they haven't been heard from since. He's a bit older than Link's usual appearance in the series as he's more of a young adult as opposed to a mid-late teen (I place him at around 21. he's more defined facially with a bit of a jaw and small goatee). He's known by many of the people in Hyrule City, especially the ladies, where he's known both as a charming enchanter and a devilish heartbreaker. There's a quite a few ladies that are out for his heart... and his blood. He's got several friends in good places and a wide information network, so he always got a good ear for the latest news. He's good with kids and animals and generally just a friendly and affable person, if sometimes insensitive.
To contrast, Zelda is a stern and serious type with little time for nonsense. While a mystery to the kingdom, she is beloved by the court as a princess who is unafraid to speak her mind, allows for people of all walks of life to serve her and in the court, and as someone who makes decisions with the sake of the kingdom in mind. She's more... physically quiet than Link, not as prone to gesture or exaggerated movement. Due to her focused nature, Zelda isn't as sociable to the citizens of Hyrule, but won't completely turn a blind eye to them. She's very dignified and treats her position as something very serious, even after she's faked her death. As such, she's... not one for humor. Most of Zelda's comedic moments come from her being placed into humorous situations and Zelda's own exasperation at her circumstances, as opposed to the more animated and openly emotional Link.
While their interactions aren't exactly bountiful, Link and Zelda's moments together are generally characterized by how starkly different they are as people, with the two of them bouncing off each other silently (plus some physical comedy, the height difference between the two gives Zelda the perfect angle to elbow Link in the ribs. A good silencer for any unneeded shenanigans).

I'M REALLY TIRED NOW SO I'LL SAY MORE WORDS ON NPCS AND THE WORLD AND GAMEPLAY TOMORROW WOOOOOOOOOOOO

    It feels,
    weird
well for one it feels weird characterizing Link in general, historically he's been more of a player avatar, that's the point of naming him and why hasn't really been an established figure before,
but it really feels weird characterizing him as some kinda smooth-talking heartbreaker, he always seemed like a really goofy dude.
Especially in games like Skyward Sword and Wind Waker, but there are moments present in every 3D Zelda, mostly in cinematics but in regular gameplay too.

I'm not trynna poo-poo on your idea or anything, this was just my first thought.

The fact that he's broken hearts is more a sign of his dumbness than his callousness, really

Link does have some characterization, but it's not much, mostly the fact that he's courageous and also a dork.

Knowledge is doing well at a trivia game.
Wisdom is not wasting money on a trivia game.
It goes a little deeper than that though.

So, turns out, in my crusade to finish any Wii games I started or got past a certain point in, I forgot I had Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on VC on there.
So, I actually only have this and Skyward Sword to finish, then I can shelf it.
    But Jesus Fucking Christ
    The Water Temple.
It wasn't that bad, it was just boring and tedious (The boss too)

I replayed Ocarina of Time to see if his arguments held up, and holy shit that video was downright trash right from the beginning. I miss actual arguments that he didn't immediately contradict ;(.
That was me with the water temple in Majora's Mask, I literally have no motivation to go beat it.
