This is Issac.
Issac is an ex-archaeologist on the run from the law, after his digging under New Meridian brought him in contact with something the cops weren't too keen on. He has eluded the officers of the city through his cunning wit, and the Time Gauntlet, a mystical artifact product of years of research, that when augmented by the magic rock highly scientific mineral, Theonite, has the strength to transfer him through time itself. He uses these two things to confound his opponents with an onslaught of mental tricks and cunning hits, trading blows both in reality, and with constant trickery in the battlefield of the mind. That or he's just really lucky. That bit is kinda up to interpretation.
Though he didn't make it through the IGG vote, this lovable continuity-hopper, through his past-altering antics and cop-dodging life, still managed to time-warp his way into our hearts.
Also he has a cool hair scar. I don't know how he got it. I don't think he does, either.

This thread exists mainly as a place to discuss Issac's personality, backstory, and potential significance to the games lore and cannon.

so he probably liked how it looked and let's his hair grow like that on purpose now

the real question is what did he discover

i think it has to do something with that big tree that was in the concept art alex drew (his entry says he discovered something under the city and tree looks like it's underground) and because Parasoul use to have a tree in her design I believe it also involves the Canopy Royals which is why the law is chasing him

My other idea is it has something to do with the skullgirl cause his glove runs on theonite which the skullgirl radiates (well a large amount of Theonite= skullgirl is near) but that wouldn't explain why he was being chased by the law

the real question is what did he discover

There are only two ways something goes under a city; either it was old, or it was buried. Considering the cops came after him for finding whatever it was, then it was probably the latter.
Keep in mind, however, that some of the officers in New Meridian aren't exactly clean. It's very possible that the ones who put Scythana in jail and are chasing Issac may be on Medici payroll, protecting Medici secrets. It's possible that it doesn't have anything to do with the royal family at all.

When did the law start chasing after Isaac and Scythana?
Do we know if it was recent, sometime during the Continello Skullgirl, between the Marie and Squigly's mother, or before the Continello Skullgirl?

From what I can gather from The IGG profiles, I would guess recently.
Scythana's profile says that after her employer (Issac) didn't speak on her behalf, she broke out of prison, and that is (Presumably) when her story would've taken place. There are a few variables to this (How long Scythana was incarcerated, or how long after the dig that they began being chased) but none of them that I could think of set the time back past seven years (The last Skullgirl before Marie).

appearently Isaac is mad. not sure if he meant angry mad or coocoo mad though.Probaby meant angry mad though (I mean who would hire a crazy person to teach at a university) but if he did mean coocoo mad then that changes alot of my theories about Isaac
