I expect this thread will become irrelevant very quickly as things get back to normal and the concept of, "OT is back, hurray!" is no longer new. This thread is here if anybody feels like addressing OT coming back to Skullheart, so keep all discussion of the matter HERE, in this thread. Keep things civil.

Please though, people, actually read the new rules. There are NEW RULES. READ THEM.

Thank you, moderators.

I'm sure that bringing back OT, even with this new set of rules set, must have been a very hard decision for the moderation to finally agree upon. I appreciate your listening to the members of the community over the matter, and I am quite happy to see OT return.

Looking at the rules now, I personally have no qualms with any of the new guidelines. None of the topics that are disallowed currently were topics that I ever cared to participate in (or I simply don't mind them being removed).

Out of curiosity, if any other members have any genuine concerns over the new OT rules, would this be the place to bring them up? Or would a new thread be needed for such?

I made this thread to catch both WARBALGALAHRBLARHBLRA and legitimate suggestions/concerns. Go for it.

Moved it. Site related threads go here as rules specifies because it will be easier to see.

Thanks. I was kinda thinking, "it's about OT, put it in OT," but the move is a better call.

I mean, I just wanted the Korra thread back. Thanks!

Returned OT + common sense rules = one happy kitty.

Thank you mods! :PUN:

Is the wulf den coming back?
It's not unlocked yet, but it's in the non-character discussion forum. You can either wait for a mod to unlock it, or simply start wulf den v2.

I think the only thing I am going to miss from OT (even though I fully understand why it is not coming back) is the Random Hilarious Gifs, Images, etc. thread. There was some pretty great stuff that came out of that thread, both in terms of funny media and our comments to them... especially mine.

Coming back? It's back, brother. It's not unlocked yet, but it's in the non-character discussion forum.

Yeah, the wulf den was never under OT. Ask @Cellsai about anything non-gameplay.

I know. I contributed to those silly time-wasters, too, but look at it this way: the loss is small price to pay for a leaner, better Off-Topic.

Yeah, but I mean, it was closed down as part of the site-wide seriousness initiative. It's easy to confuse :)

To be fair, some of the "common sense" rules apparently weren't all that common sense as someone who had to dig through and see hundreds of the OT threads.

Honestly, I don't even care anymore.
The Wulf Pack Steam Group is way better since we don't have to listen to any rules.

I think of common sense this way: Common sense isn't.

Dude, we still have to deal with Steam's rules over there.

The difference is that we have yet to have a problem with Steam.

Just because there hasn't been a problem yet doesn't mean there will never be problems.

What are you trying to advocate here? Should we just crawl back to Skull Heart and go back to the way things were? Or should we stay with Steam, and actually move forward as a group?

Just let them use steam if they like steam better. It's probably more appropriate to use steam anyway.

I am just happy that off-topic is back. Thanks, @Night Phyre for the news!

I'm not trying to advocate anything regarding the future of the Wulf Pack. I'm just saying that it'd be naive to assume that there will never be problems between the Wulf Pack and Steam. And what will happen when that problem occurs? Are we gonna drop Steam like we did with SrsHeart?

1. I never said that we would never have a problem with Steam, just that so far they're less problematic than here.
2. The only reason we would pack up and leave again is if Steam straight up kicked us out like the moderators here.
3. You got anything else to say to me?

It wouldn't be too hard since there are plenty of areas on the internet where discussions can be had without any regulations whatsoever.

...

I think I'm gonna head over to OT. Try to calm down. That sort of thing.

Really, it's back just like that?
Oh.
Um.
Cool!

Does this mean we can get the character gameplay speculation threads back too?

I would ask in the News thread but that is locked, so -- here

What happened to that suggestion by various people to exclude the entire OT section from the "Recent Threads" tab (and, if possible, the "What's New" one)?

I felt that was kind of a useful thingie; the OT doesn't need to be in 'Recent Threads' at all and it gives more room to see new Gameplay posts.

This functionality is possible, but kind of buggy, from what I was told. Basically, right now: no, we aren't able to do this.

When is anime being removed?

Annie will finally be heard.
