And besides no matter how much we hope that it'll change, that fact is if we're going to get a XBC2 character is going to be Rex and maybe Pyra.

I hope a ton of you voted for Waluigi in the Smash Ballot, 'cuz the number of votes for him in that might've made Sakurai give him a secodn look
I hope the same for Skull Kid
 
Xenoblade 2 should get a stage, because that game does have pretty locales.

But that's it. Everything else is a dumpster fire

I'll give you this: the XC2 trailers really did not do a good job of selling the game.

But seriously, there's less instances of weird anime writing than any "modern era" Persona game.

I see Waluigi having a pretty high chance this time around. Between probably getting a decent number of un-ironic an ironic votes in the ballot, memes both shitposting and/or showing support for the character, and people modding Walugi into everything, Nintendo has surely taken notice by now. Though at the same time Nintendo's really weird with their 2nd party characters, like Waluigi and the DKC crew, never wanting to deal with them first hand. But this hasn't stopped them with references with Waluigi getting references in PM:tTD and Mario Odyssey as well as Mario Odyssey having a cursed Diddy costume and New Donk being filled with DKC references. So here's hoping that Waluigi might have a shot as well as K.Rool.

you mean the character whose spine doesnt actually look like that in-game and has been confirmed for months that the person who screencapped it got her up against a wall and bugged out her model? yeah, I'd be fine adding her as an assist trophy or something. we could use more characters created by women in Smash.

I've given it a thought I these are the characters I want to see
Waluigi
K.Rool
Andy and/or Sami
Dillon
Ashley
And something obscure, like a Fossil Fighters rep (I just want to play as a tiny T-Rex) or Mike from Startropics or . . . Lip (I just more Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack)

Also calling it now the BotW stage is going to be South Great Plateau over looking the castle and the Splatoon one either being Urchin Underpass or Inkoplis Square (with Callie&Marie or Pearl&Marina showing up at certain times/days or at random)
 
I still hope they saw the indie push and acknowledge an indie game they trust
 
My most wanteds are Ridley, King K. Rool, Spring Man, Elma, Rex, Geno, and Mike Jones.

Other wanteds include Takamaru, Shovel Knight, Krystal, Vaati, Waluigi, Poochy, Dark Samus, Ghirahim, Samurai Goroh, Simon Belmont, and a few more that I don't actually think have much chance (such as Filia or any non-DKC Rare rep).
 
 
Bomberman being an assist trophy hurts, I really would rather have nothing because at least then I could have hope.

Mother fucking DAISY gets to be in, but Waluigi is still trapped in Assist Trophy limbo!? What kind of cosmic injustice is this!?
I'm at least glad she's in so people can quit asking for her.
 
Ryu facing automatically in 1v1 is a godsend and I'm ready to play him. Unfortunately there wasn't much in the way of gameplay shown for everyone. They at least hinted at Wolf changes. I hope BotW Link is a more viable zoner than old Link, but knowing Sakurai, he's probably the same as always.

Honestly it's more about system mechanics for me. Power Shield is extremely strong, Rage is unnecessary and Sm4sh movement never felt good to me. If those are changed or removed, I might be all in. Otherwise it's for parties too short for Mario Party.
 
Did you guys knotice that there were two missing spaces by the Amiibo box for Inkling and Ridley, as well as on the website?
I think we'll get at least one new character, and maybe an Echo character (Someone pointed out they didn't show Shadow as an Assist)
But expectations are low, I think new characters will be low this time and saved for DLC
 
...Okay, so going back they said Perfect Shield occurs when you RELEASE the shield button.

That actually seems like a really smart change. I'm on board.
 
I'm super hyped for Ultimate. Seriously I'm really looking forward to it.
 
If you take a look at each of the characters 20+ second highlights, you can actually mine quite a lot of information simply by looking
You can see Magicant has returned (Thank God), Corrin is virtually unchanged, ROB gets a new stage (With a giant ROB in the background), and Shadow is nowhere to be seen...
 
We are also getting the Miiquest stage and Safron City (it's in Zero Suit's highlight) is returning.
 
I'm a little unsure on how to feel about some of the Final Smash changes, 'cuz yeah, Transformation supers changing and being a lot faster is fine, but... some of 'em just look so weird.
Mac turned into Big Mac just for a punch combo?
