Theoretical character changes and their applications.

Give Bella a 5 bar homing Ultimate Showstopper, and she flies after the opponent like a missile even in the air until she grabs them.
it would have the coolest input ever

I still think the 1 meter for a Dead Angle attack would be doable and not broken/stupid.
Also, charged cHP is an overhead now, so make it an assist please?

L0 could probably just reuse the Outtake freeze and animations for the Dead Angle attacks. More theory-fighter: if solos deserve these, should teams get them, too? After all, Mike Z likes to keep things consistent.

I think it'd be pretty cool have an extra input for Big Band's Super Sonic Jazz or Tympani Drive when they're powered up by Bagpipe Blues. It would just make it seem like you're putting in that extra oomph instead of just doing it normally.

It would have the added bonus of letting you choose to save your taunt for later, if you already netted the kill without it.

Mmhmm. Also, I think I faced you last night. I really don't remember. If I did, good game or games.

Oh yeah! I definitely remember fighting Knux a few times. I think I was running a purple Double/Cerebella that day. Or maybe a yellow/black Squigly/Big Band. Good games, dood.

On topic: I wish Napalm Pillar was a bit faster. Or had a hitbox that extended a little more behind her. These days, most Filia's and Fukua's that I come across always reset while behind Parasoul's head, so it's not really all that useful on defense. Combined with her lackluster Blockbusters, I'm starting to feel like her defensive options are a little far behind the curve.

make beowulfs trash can move actually put filia in the garbage, forever
I would love for, as a joke, this to be able to have an extra input during snapback where you spend an extra meter to lock that character into the trash can for an extended lockout period, while they struggle to wriggle out the trashcan.

God, that would just make my day. 2 Tension snapback to keep a character in the dumps, ya damn right

Every character needs a functional taunt.

Then I want a taunt that charges both Squigly's stances.

Being hit by Bella's diamond dynamo when behind her should send the victim upwards, instead of bouncing them on the ground, since, in this case, the arm hits from below.

Make it so that Big Band's instruments in normals do not have hurt boxes on them during active frames so he can finally poke without forcing the player to make the proper read and use the correct special ALL THE TIME. The big man with big (?) normals is always getting out-poked because his normals have hurt boxes that are practically at the edge of their hit boxes... Hell, some of them are on the outside! This has REALLY been bothering me after playing him quite a bit this month. (sorry about the bitching @fenster ! lol)

Also, can we do something about how every air normal is an instant overhead against him? jeeeeeeeeez

I love bigbands design, but it does seem like he needs something more. I always thought that him having armored normals would make perfect sense with their slow in general startup (looking at you, cr.hp and cr.hk)

They should chip too.
And he should have flight.
And Little Band drones.

That would be silly, since he would then have the option to cancel an armored normal into a 2-hit armored special into a 2/15-hit armored LVL1. I don't think he needs more armor...

He'd armor straight through full-screen Argus and Inferno Brigade.

All of which are unsafe on block and dont lead to full combos... Save for perhaps the armored normal. And all would still be sweepable.
It would be... Good, certainly. But i dont know that it would be op at all.
I think it would at least be a good beta trial.

Right now, bella can devil horns into super before horns goes active for like a billion invincible frames (completely scientific approximation) and i dont see that being op because at the end of the day the moves are still unsafe to just throw out.

I LOVE C.HP! It's my favorite move of his!
With that out of the way, I thought about armor at one time too... but that is kind of PWs thing already. I'd also agree with most people that he doesn't really need more armor. Just ways to make his current moves better or even useful.

Anyway, time for more suggestions for Big Band.

I'd like to see what would be possible if you could control Big Band's direction during the 2nd half of j.mk.. providing it gained cerecopter like suction to prevent your opponent from dropping out (on hit). It would be nice to be able to sink him downward for a quasi-fast-fall so that you might be able to pick up a combo off of a lower jmkx2 confirm on shorter characters. You could also use it to reposition to a better height/distance away from the wall for the j.hk wall bounce. Or you could just super jump backwards and float there occasionally for giggles. I'm sure there could be all kinds of other applications for it... If nothing else I think it would be fun.

Time to talk about his jump punches. What if he could use his jump punches in any order? And depending on which order you used, it would alter your opponent's trajectory? So, L,M,H knocks them upward and away right? How about H,M,L bringing them downward and into Big Band?

So that you might be able to do something like c.lk, c.mk, s.hp, j.lk, j.mkx2, j.hp, j.mp, j.lp (pulls them in and to the ground) > land continue combo?

I can't help but feel his only two air normals that are any good are j.lk and occasionally j.hk. These kind of changes would at least give you a reason to consider using other normals as options in the neutral game.

I'm starting to wonder why I care so much about all of these things on Big Band...
I mean, nothing about PWs flaws has made me complain this much!! lmao!

Give Double a command jump that somehow differs from other jumps. Call it "Double-jump."

SkullGeorge? Battle for the Bombheart?

Bonus character: George XIII from Blazblue.
