Fukua Robo Fortune Cerebella
Edit: This is to track my progress. I main play Squigly, but I also play Cerebella, Filia, Fukua and recently Parasoul. I will mention all of these characters, as well as other fighting games and perhaps even my mental status as all of these affect my play in Skullgirls. Please enjoy your stay or avoid this thread entirely. The choice is yours

Got 0-10'd by Sage today. Things to note
1) I can't PBGC out of Beo/Fukua pressure
2) I need to learn to just super when someone isn't respecting me and pressing buttons
3) I need to not drop my resets and combos when I have the upper hand

Why? Since, I'm in Japan, most US players brush me over and decide my internet's not worth the the effort.
Yo, I live in SEA and I have a great connection with japanese players!
I'm online most of the time, so hit me up if you want someone to practice with~

Sounds good. I'll add you when I get the opportunity

So, while I was sandbagging, I realized I had a plateau and was wondering why. After I actually stopped screwing around and played seriously, I realized I didn't really have a solid reset game. So new objective over the next 2 weeks:
- Spend 1 hour a day working on Bella resets (cr.mk runstop, c.hp runstop, tick command grabs)
- learn another Bella combo that does close to the kanchou BnB (doubt I'll find one)
- Learn how to deal with Beat Extend as Filia (without using assists to countercall, because that's not solving a problem, that's a quick fix that doesn't work when the assist is dead)

Edit: Also, learn to convert of Bella air-grab consistently. Cuz 60% conversion rate is pretty shitty.

Post-update:Work gets in the way sometimes, but I'm still managing to practice an hour a day. Also realized that when I can't download someone, I can't seem to play well against them. So I have an utter weakness when the opponent refuses to do anything consistently, and I get hit too much. Not sure how I'm going to fix it, but I'll try to think of something. Also, I noted my LnL/360 cancels were a bit iffy, so I should probably work on those. Air-grabs conversions w/ Bella are definitely better, but not 100%, so I'll need to keep practicing them. Also, Squigly is actually leveling up, which surprised me.

c.mk runstop resets are getting smoother and more easy to control. I'm getting a little bit better at controlling the pace when faced by people who flowchart, particularly at dealing with beo j.hp cancel into blitzer. I need to make sure to keep practicing my combos to make sure I'm executing them easily. Also, I practiced KOF 13 today and it made me realize how shit my execution really is. Just doing Mature + Kula's trials had me pushed to the limit. I wonder if I learn Leona on KOF, could I play parasoul decently? Huh...another time, I suppose

Still practicing Skullgirls, as well as putting KOF onto my repertoire. Mature feels so good to come back to, and I'm slowly rebuilding my execution from the ground up. My depression is also kicking back in, so as per usual, my decision making is going to shit while my mechanical skills improve. We'll see how this affects my ability to transition from one game to another. I feel like I'm sucking at everything, but I'll settle for physical evidence vs perceived illusions. Not much to say since I haven't done much online matches, so I'll have to try to get some in this weekend.

Half-ass update:So, my execution is terrible, but improving. KOF trial mode is definitely putting everything I know about execution and buffering to the test and I'm learning a bit more about how to cancel a bit tighter and making sure I'm mashing, which is transitioning back to SG. Only thing is, after playing too much SG, I go back to mashing because I'm too lazy to continue good habits. So, keeping up good habits of one hit confirms throughout a night of playing is a good goal. In any case, my confirms off assists are roughly at 60%, which was at an abysmal percentile when I first stated this diary (we'll guestimate and say 20'ish beforehand), so there's something positive. Squigly pressure is getting tighter, but I need to work on assist calling to counter people pushblocking my pressure, then it'll be immaculate. My Sing/SBO is almost 100% on-point and I just need to make my fake overhead setups a bit more ambiguous and Squigly should be decent.

Update: Gonna sit down and learn Parasoul completely, resets, neutral game, tear mechanics, the works. Also gonna grind Leona trials on KOF so I can get my charge buffering adept to accomplish Soul's more advanced combos. I'm currently thinking of running solo Para as a sub team, but it remains to be seen. I still suck, and I still don't have an answer for people rushing me down as Squigly, specifically versus Double/Bella/Beowulf (chair j.hp is just suffocating). I'll continue trying different concepts until i find something that works.

Update: I'm...extremely unsure. I feel like I've hit my plateau with Squigly as a whole. At the moment, I've reached an impasse on running solo Squigly which seems impractical versus some teams or finding 1 or 2 more characters that compliment her weaknesses. I have a good understanding of most characters but I still can't find 2 other characters that I have a passion for like Squigly. Currently thinking of: Double, Eliza, Fukua, Cerebella. I might even put Beowulf in the mix, but I don't think that I really enjoy playing him. I'm probably going to have to sit down and find out the meter constraints and neutral game of certain teams and find what would work best.

After an eternity, I guess I'm gonna run with Bella/Squigly/Eliza with Duo Squigly/Eliza in case I run into a situation where my Bella isn't working. No safe DHC's so I'll have to work on setups, but I'll figure something out. Will update with matches soon
