Did I happen to miss something? I missed toonami tonight.

Tom went onto the ship the Intruder was riding, then overloaded the reactor cores, but before it blew up, he got on an escape pod and got out.
The ship went nuclear and BLEW UP THE ABSOLUTION.
So not only is SARA dead, but we also lost our fucking ship.

I hope this means we wont have to get help from...

THAT Tom....
wait, never mind, that Tom is dead.
good riddance.

So while Toonami is down all the bumps, promos, and ads are displayed through programing lines because it's trying to reboot.

If you missed The Intruder II saga, here are all six episodes:

Since it is referenced so heavily, might as throw in the first Intruder from fifteen years ago:
Now you should be ready for the final episode 7. no more reboot code bumpers please!

So far it has been a nifty callback. One favorite highlight:
Intruder to TOM in episode 5:
"I tracked your other self down on that distant moon where you were hiding and killed him."
TOM 4.0 (the one with the Thomas the Tank Engine face) is dead!

If you go read the Intruder 2 prologue comic, you will see The Intruder was lying about that just to get under TOM's circuits.

I saw the twist coming for this one, but I loved it. The new base looks cheap, I hope TOM gets a new ship soon.

Now that I've gotten somewhat over it, can I just say that after last week's episode, anyone who still likes Akame ga Kill should be ashamed of themselves.

On the plus side: Samurai Champloo is awesome.

I was just thinking that, holy shit
Way to kill what literal interest I had in this series.
You introduce a character with a good design (That I had seen quite a few times as a facelaim in my Tumblr RP career, so I expected a lot of her)
She has a cool power
And then she's very unceremoniously killed?
Like. Fuck off.
I get this is a dark anime but why does every dark anime feel the need to kill characters in droves? It doesn't make me cry it makes me pissed off you wasted their fucking potential.

It's to create fake drama. Shows like these cannot create well produced drama and shock value so they just kill of fan favorites to get a cheap reaction out of them. Reminds me when I worked on some fan projects a while back. The main lead was not good at story writing so his main idea for shock value was to kill of characters for no reason because of shock and drama value. Same thing applies here, they try to raise the stakes to raise viewer interact but as a result it backfires horribly.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is like the only anime that is exempt from my rule about killing characters too soon, mainly because despite a certain character dying a few episodes in, it's done very well, and established the mood of the entire series right there.
Plus, she makes more appearances later in the franchise still.

I think another reason Akame Ga Kill pissed me off was also because it looks like they're killing off characters that are too overpowered
Cool chick with scissors that can cut through anyhting? We can't have that. Kill her off just to show how edgy we are.
Nicely designed girl THAT CAN FUCKING SHAPESHIFT? NO WAY! KILL HER OFF THREE EPISODES IN!
Like Jesus Christ at least with Jojo when Araki admitted he made a character too overpowered (Fuugo), he didn't kill him, he made a believable situation for him to stay behind, and he stayed behind. Simple as that.

remember the girl with regeneration?
eh, just use bullets.

Are you telling me the fucking chick with regeneration gets killed by a fucking single bullet?
You cannot be serious.
well, they clearly do no spinal damage, she has all her apendages, proven by the fact that she hugs the main character, before she dies.

it was more than one, but I think even Piccolo had worse done to him and his regeneration took care of that easy.
so the likely story is her regeneration became shit so she could die.

honestly, i just sorta stopped watching AgK way way back.

Oh right I completely forgot about how they killed the Gay character just to fucking give the main character a power-up.
Again, not a very good reason to kill off a character.
Yeah the more I think about it the more this anime pisses me off.
But I'm too lazy to turn the TV off

Watching right now, the "parasyte" show.
I remember watching Casshern sins and understanding the plot more than this show in a random episode.

Parasyte is one of the better animes i've seen in a while.

The last few episodes of Akame ga Kill are anime-original. The manga is less...frustrating...

Still kills off too many characters for me to care.
I feel the same. It's hard to get attached to characters when they get killed off in the next arc or two.

I was already noticing it early on, but when they killed Chelsea (Most interesting designed and cool character introduced so far), that tore it.
I lost all reason to care about the setting or the characters.
Absolutely unnecessary waste of a character.

Did Akame Ga Kill literally just kill another fucking interesting character
It hasn't even been three episodes since they killed the last one.
This is exactly what I fucking meant.
You can't just keep killing characters in intervals like this
This time I was barely even watching and this anime still pissed me off.

Did Akame Ga Kill literally just kill another fucking interesting character
we warned you about them stairs yo.

we warned you about them stairs yo.
I have fucking watched Anime for close to two decades.
I am a calm and patient boy.
The times I have been legitimately rustled by an anime can be counted on one hand
Yet somehow this fucking piece of shit has rustled me three times.

have you gotten to the blonde death yet?
that one is a real vein buster.

well, welcome to my world when Shirley died in Code Geass.

To put this whole thing into perspective, I didn't mind SAO 1 or SAO 2, SAO 2 at least had interesting ideas throughout the whole fucking thing.
But I feel Akame Ga Kill is like
AGGRESSIVELY flushing ideas down the fucking toilet.

why write drama when you can just force it with killing characters?
amirite?
that's not to say, there are ways where you can kill a bunch of main characters and still illicit genuine emotions from that.
like, y'know, Berserk.
