Under Night In-Birth

Patch for the PS3 version? And they're not fixing the Waldstein infinite?
Probably some stealth nerfs in there.

Fixed a bug that made particular throws miss the hit in the corner.

I think that's our fix.

My friend plays Akatsuki, and he has some of the best footsies in my state, he does just fine.
He kind of struggles against my friend who plays Yuzu, but later on into last night he started to get the hang of it.
I have another friend who plays Seth, and he kind of just runs around my Chaos, I have to run away, but once I establish space, he lost.

Also, the antir crossup system is different from what we think it is.

My friends Seth crossed me up all last night. I crossed people up with Chaos' Pursuit down C.

I think the anti crossup only applies to fireballs and Ahl Lizard.
Seth's 214[ B ] can cross you up.

214[C] cannot, though, it is just 214[ B ]. So watch for his jump when he does those, if he teleports into the air, you have to block correctly.

214[ B ] xx j.214A is one of the only difficult to block crossups in this game that I know of. I think Linne has them but I've only played against CPU Linne's so far, not a human one.

EDIT: Damnit BB code, I DID NOT want bold, I want hold B pls

I'm glad I got this game. My favourite anime fighter since GGXX^C.

I still can't pick a main though, too many characters I like.

I just tried a coast to coast connection.

I don't recommend it at all.

I live in Estonia and I tried a 4-bar connection with a player living in Finland this week.

I got bodied badly, but I still recommend it.

@Mike_Z would find this oversight amusing.

Apparently, you can hold back (or forward) and tap the opposite direction+attack button and never lose your charge. Assuming you have hitbox, keyboard or something that allows it.

Ya, I saw. You can also just mash with a regular stick, as far as I know.

Yeah you can get like 5 fireballs on screen, it's absolutely nuts. Doing the right thing at the right time is difficult with this though... you tend to just give your opponent a ton of GRD for not much.

Is the hitbox viewer particularly broken for most characters? Seems to be for Vatista

Is there a functional difference between buying the Japanese version and waiting for the NA release?

I just gave the game a whirl last night. The auto-correct on inputs can be frustratingly stupid. Turns out that if you press 641236, it reads the input as DP. More commonly I'll have the game confuse me going from crouch blocking and trying to QCB as crouch block into reverse DP. Lack of air options feels reeeeeeally weird in an anime fighter.

On the other hand, i really like the gun character actually having bullets. It was kinda frustrating trying to keep track of everything, but it was a cool touch.

Hey, for those who don't know this, UNIEL's release date is March 31, 2015.

A 2nd game? I admit I love UNIEL a lot, but isn't it a little bit early for a sequel? I was wondering if they'd be adding new DLC characters or some bug/patch fixes.

They could just be talking about it since they always had plans/ideas for a sequel title. I'm surprised that is on the table though considering the first game only sold a little over 9k copies in the first week, but maybe their production budget was low enough.

it's the same company that did melty, and melty is poverty gaming so i'm sure they went way above budget

I think it is a little early for a sequel. Can't they wait until UNIEL comes out on our turf?

- Narita still wants Skullgirls guest character, but nothing to talk about yet.

that game needs catheads #kappa

Patch coming next Wednesday. No balance changes but overall improvements/fixes here.

- French Bread doesn't really have any influence to UNIEL official tournament, so they can't increase the amount of qualifiers - Gotta ask from others.
- They would like to make a sequel and are currently looking for more people... Nothing actual done yet, but only thinking stuff that needs to be done in the sequel.
- Narita never expected their fighting game (Dengeki FC) to get a TV commercial.

- There won't be another guest character from same series. If you want to play as Murakumo, go ask En-Eins developers to create a sequel.
- At first Narita though that once the game got popular they could remove the guest characters.
- Narita thinks it's too early for Kuon to become playable character - at best he could be a boss in the sequel.
- Narita thinks it's impossible for them to create Lobbies like ArcSys did in BBCp and P4U2 - It's like creating a completely different game within a game.

- They have gotten a lot of feedback that the currenct system is pretty good, so they think that they shouldn't make any big changes anymore.
- Narita thought that there's no need for Story Mode in a fighting game, but they've huge amount of requests about it.

- Narita doesn't allow panty shots for any characters.
- There's still chance for Chemeti to be added.

- Adding Network Mode to arcade version (like in Tekken 7) is technically possible, but what happens to the paid 100 yen when the connection fails...
- Narita think it could work and eventually all arcade fighters might end up that way.

- "Who would buy Orie's or Vatista's dakimakura...?"
- A lot of Akatsuki Blitzkampf players have sent feedback to French Bread.

- It's going to take a while longer before Nanase and Byakuya are going to be added to arcades.

- Porting Windows-based arcade version to PS3 was difficult, but now it's more difficult to move data from PS3 version to arcade version...

- Sequel's name hasn't been decided, but Narita says that "UNI Two sound dumb"
- It was unexpected how many requests for playable Tsukuyomi they got, but currently story prevent her from being added...
- Terminology and setting explanation page is coming soon. If they don't create something like that, they can never do a Story Mode.
- "Look at the time!" system voice needs to be added. No idea when.

- Narita still wants Skullgirls guest character, but nothing to talk about yet.
- Porting Melty Blood: Current Code to a newer arcade machine isn't something French Bread can do on their own. Talk to TYPE-MOON.
- Narita isn't sure if they can add alternative button schemes (like in BlazBlue) to the arcades.
- When they watch Kamone playing Hilda, they wonder how exactly is that character supposed to be weak...

- They don't have too many people to draw pixel sprites...
- Nothing to announce coming next month... Next stream sometime later...

- It's been some time since they worked in the Western version of the game. It's pretty much in ArcSys' hands now.

- They get a lot of comment from overseas. As long as it's English it's okay, but when they get comments in other languages they don't know what to do.

"who would buy a Vatista dakimakura"

that is the worst question to ask the internet

Man, I really hope this game does well in the end. It's not looking very impressive so far in terms of retail units. Worried whether the hype is still there for a western release, especially since all these fighting game releases are being clustered in the end of 2014 to early 2015.

does anyone know where i can find the full version of the console opening?

I don't think there's one available. I bought the full EXE:Late soundtrack and it only has the short version. Even the extended bits in the Japanese PSN PV are just instrumental.

It does have the full versions of the arcade opening and ending though.

How's the health of this game doing out of curiosity? Is it going to be living by the time we get a U.S. release? *crosses fingers*

it's florishing, A lot of good sf players are playing it and there's a major amount of tourneys for it

Nice. I'm glad to hear it. I've been playing some P4 lately, but I'm mostly hype on UNIEL and/or XRD so I'm rooting for it.

This convinced me to buy the Japanese version as I can't wait.

How difficult is it to navigate the menus, etc if I don't speak a word of Japanese?
