Shown off last night on the Salty Weekly Stream was a work in progress version of "Under the Bridge" Stage, the stage releasing alongside Big Band once he's ready for prime time. Earlier today, the Skullgirls youtube channel released a video containing the music as well which is embedded below.

Take a listen to this work-in-progress version of the theme for the new Under the Bridge stage by Michiru Yamane! The final version of the song will feature real saxophones in place of the synth ones you hear here.

The work in progress stage and music will be added to the Endless Beta soon (if it hasn't been already).

Jazzy and full of action. Well done so far. I shall for the finishing touches to this.

Oh man, this is so cool. And I'm loving the stage design as well. I'm kinda hoping that there's also a noir variant in game, even if it's just a straight up recolor.

given that the game takes place in the late fall, i wouldn't mind a snowy version.

the sky seems grey enough.

And of course, all I find myself wondering is "A bridge? Where to, and where from?"

Looks like a pretty cool stage, though. Theme is very befitting of Big Band (And probably my favorite theme since Grand Cathedral), and it looks like a nice place for fighting.

This stage makes me think of a KOF stage or a Street Fighter stage (Ken/Alex theme from 3rd strike comes to mind)

The colors are fantastic and the music is really catchy.

Also if I'm correct, didn't they confirm that each of the stages were getting alternate versions? Which means that we'll see another version of this stage probably.

That also sounds like a good idea, but I kind prefer it when the alternate versions of stages are more contrasted. I prefer the day/night variants of Little Innsmouth and New Meridian Rooftops/Rooftop Assault over, say Lab 8/Lab 8 (Empty).

Would be great if Lab 8 (empty) eventually could be reworked a bit so the stage looks more destroyed. Some fires, broken machines, a dead Stanley etc

Under the Bridge really does remind me of a KoF style stage which I have no problem with at all lol.

Nice KOFish style stage, I think this will be a great addition to the game, gives us another look at this universe in a way and if there is a variant of this stage, maybe they can make a night one where the fog and clouds are gone and maybe we can see the city in the back all lit up.
Of course that depends on exactly where this stage is located if not I'm still waiting for if they can make a rainy stage, could that work for this stage or would that make the variant not unique enough?

Also judging from how this stage looks does it seem possible that there could be constant moving fog?

yea yea the new stage music is nice and all, but it detracts from the best part of this thread.....

a dead Stanley etc

make it canon too.

Great!!! Michiru Yamane still a musical genius!

Can't wait for the Elisa egypt theme!!!

And Robo Fortune theme too!!!

(well, a ring theme for Beowulf can be great too :P....... ahhh... any one of Michiru ones!!!)

Actually, an Egyptian nightclub for Eliza and a wrestling motif for Beowulf would be pretty cool.

I'm still hoping against all reason that Robo-Fortune's theme ends up being "The Fish Man's Dance?"

I think the Robo Fortune will be some thing more "High Tech"... for Stanley too

This would be amazing. Count me a supporter of the noir variant.

Real talk here: I'd love a Moog-synthesizer remix of the tune. It would be a nod to both Robo-Ky and A Clockwork Orange.

DISCLAIMER: for honesty's purpose, I'd love a Moog-synthesizer remix of the whole OST. :3

And I dare say Mr Birdland made things very difficult for Oujo-sama with his awesome stage and theme. The nightclub seems the clearest choice though bearing in mind that Eliza was going to be a boss character, I assume there was a more awe-inspiring stage to go with that status...

Once again Michiru Yamane has blessed my ears with another musical masterpiece. It's amazing how much soul and emotion the woman can create through sound alone, and the piece isn't even finished yet. I'm actually going to play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night just so I can hear more of her work. For now you can find me locked in my room listening to the entire Skullgirls OST.

Of course Big Band would get a theme with blues progression.

I love it.

I'm already learning the River Casino piano medley Left hand you're a bitch And now trying to transcribe this to piano? Gaaah I can't tell if I'm super overjoyed or overwhelmed!

I didnt know it is WIP, it is good enough to be the full theme, so exited for the stage

I mentioned...okay I just approximated how speechless I was in a Big Band thread. Thankfully, I think I now have the words to summarize how I feel about this.

The song blew my mind and it's just the WIP version. I'm afraid once the real sax goes in, all my clothes will spontaneously disintegrate.
All of them.

Im reminded of Bayonetta and I love it.

Great stuff this week, but seriously they've got to put in an option to turn off that green on the bars. It would take, what, 2.5 seconds to implement.
