UNDERTALE; A wacky throwback for EARTHBOUND/MOTHER fans!

Just finished the Pacifist ending.
Honestly it was too "friendship" for me, although it was still enjoyable. The True Lab was amazing to go through and is easily one of my favorite parts of the game, only behind the thing with Undyne (my sides). Flowey is actually my favorite character because he's really interesting and I love his spritework so much. I just really like how simply horrible and mean-spirited he is. The fact he's Asriel is kind of stupid imo, though.
If you want to know more about Flowey/Asriel, watch the climax of a genocide run. He tells you his side of the story that way.

ok i just gotta say this here.

I DON'T WANT TO KILL TORIEL PLEASE LET ME SPARE

Also i want to keep my pie ;_;

You can keep the pie.

Keep the pie, it comes in handy later.
Save it for Asgore, it'll lower his defense and attack EVEN MORE.
For a Pacifist run, this is more useful than you know.

It's my first time playing so i've killed and i've spared, i killed most bosses, even spider waifu and toriel.

You're gonna have to start all over if you wanna get Pacifist though.
If you didn't kill anyone you just would've had to load a pacifist save and done another sidequest.

I actually want to get all endings so i'll be playing it more than once, and how not to, the game is fucking brilliant, also this:

Majestic.

What would the skeleton brothers look like with flesh?

I have actually, I watched the entirety of the genocide route right before I did the pacifist ending because I liked it more. By far it is the most interesting ending to me, with so many high points (the best part of it is the Sans boss fight, though).

Are there any planned expansion to this game? Or is this it?

Well, there's the hard mode stuff, right? But I doubt there'll actually be a full version of hard mode.
So much dialogue changes and battle stuff is rearranged, I very much doubt Toby could manage to do those kinds of things with the rest of the game.

...But I would love to see hard mode skeleton dating.

"Futile! Futile! FUTILE!"

"Bitch did you just muda muda muda me?"

If I ever do do a genocide run I'm naming the Fallen Human "Dio"
That way I won't feel as bad selling my soul :U

So, I just saw the Genocide Route only boss.
MY FUCKING JAW WAS ON THE FLOOR JESUS FUCKING CHRIST SANS

And to think, Chara would have never known about Blue attacks, technically, especially after a True Reset during your first Genocide run, so its only fitting that he starts out with one.

Cheat, like every evil person ever.

I have 1 thing to say about genocide route, it's the best one to start with, then neutral and then pacifist.

Nope.
Neutral > Pacifist > Genocide > Pacifist is better, tbh
As I've mentioned pacifist is too friendship-y for me, so I'd say play genocide before it personally. Genocide definitely shouldn't be played first because it has a lot less of an impact if you aren't attached to the characters already.

Also note that if you're doing genocide first you have to deal with the consequences and it changes your ending for any other route afterwards. Or you can just erase your save file completely manually and not in game to start fresh without the consequence.

So going pacifist (which gets the neutral ending anyway) > Genocide > Pacifist works best for story reasons.

And that's the point, you don't do genocide if you are too scared/afraid of losing these pixels you love so much.

Flowey said 2 lines (actually, 3) referencing people that watch the genocide route instead of playing it by themselves, and i agree with him....

TOBY KNEW SOME PEOPLE WERE GOING TO BE TOO SCARED OF TRYING OUT GENOCIDE BY THEMSELVES.

THAT'S PRETTY BRILLIANT.

(No, those are not the lines he says)

But yeah, another method is to do neutral first but kill the bosses, spare the random encounters instead, like that you won't be suffering so much on genocide, but really, it's better to get to know the bad/sad/angry/disturbing side of the characters first, then get to the lighthearted tone.

Or else you'll definetly have a bad time.

So finished a true ending run and have one thing I'm not particularly sure on

So why exactly was flowey/asriel so hellbent on killing everyone and destroying the world? I feel like he mentioned it at some point and I sort of glazed over it.

also the soundtrack was top notch towards the end of the game
