Vocaloid Thread

New Vocaheadcanon: Tako Luka is a Chipp-level Japanophile. (But is actually British.) This is why I think so.

 
Meiko V3's been revealed a couple of days ago with 5 voice banks: Power, Straight, Dark, Whisper, and English. Apparently due out in February.
 
Welp, if you want to get it on Vita so you can take Miku anywhere, good news. It's coming.
 
Project Diva F 2nd is also due out in Summer, I think.
Given that Project Diva F did well enough to justify the PS Vita port getting localized, I think we'll be getting 2nd.
 

this video kept popping up in my suggested videos. so I thought I'd ask.

are these reasons some of the reasons people dont like miku?

I did skim around it, and he talks about how Miku was everywhere even in small towns, and how she was like big brother always watching you and always being marketed at you (yet he has an angry birds plushie). and how her fans are in love love with her even though she's artificial. seems to me like a salty butthurt who just wants to bitch and moan and say how awful she is for japan as a culture.

The sheer fact he has Angry Birds merchandise takes away any credibility this might've had.
Yeah, butthurt and jealous that Miku's popular as fuck.
I mean I wholeheartedly believe she deserves the acclaim, attention, and adoration she has. Great design, allows people to show their dream to the world in a unique way, and on top of that, her, her friends, and concept are a great medium for story telling and music in general.
Has Angry Birds done that?
Fuck no.
All they've done is grow like a parasite and getting undeserved attention.
Someone wanna tell me why fucking Angry Birds has an amusement park, and Nintendo doesn't?
 
I try to defend angry birds for what it is, not how its marketed. AB is just a game anyone can take with them and is super affordable. I think the games themselves are fine, but I couldnt care less for the marketing, which he seems to have a problem with (yet he is a goddamn hypocrite with that angry birds plushie).

he is angry at the fans, yet he takes it out on a thing that wont fight back because it cant. there is nothing wrong with miku. he's just a little bitch who wants to bitch about something he doesnt like.

eh, I am not fond of angry joe myself (or the rest of TGWTG crew TBH) (I mean, even Matt of TBF has talked shit about him on gaf)

I really am excited though that miku is becoming more and more popular here in the states. Cant wait for freedomloids.
 
well, the tour in america probably helped too.
 
I think she's out now. I've seen a lot of demo videos of it. (everyone shut up about her Rs. I think they're cute and endearing)

Dude, you're a little behind. Miku English has been out since her birthday (August 31) this year. Meiko V3 (with Meiko English) is the one coming out next year (specifically February).
 
I wonder if anyone's tried to get her to sing the Meow Mix jingle.
 
I don't know about original songs, but I'm sure I posted a MikuEng cover of The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim earlier on in here, and there is a cover of Hotel California over on Nico Nico.
 
Remember when Project Diva F ended up releasing outside of Japan due to fan demand? Guess what; it's happened again. Project Diva F 2nd is going global, complete with retail versions for both the PS3 and the Vita!

Apparently, more info will be coming in as E3 approaches, so I won't be surprised if Miku has a presence at Sega's E3 this year.
 
My favourite Vocaloid is Megurine Luka and my favourite song by her is No logic, It's quite inspirational in a way.

 
I don't know jack shit about vocaloid, but there's a pretty sweet vocaloid shoegaze album that you guys may like.

She's not a vocaloid :0 but since you mentioned her, I like drop pop candy and no title. My friend and I did a cover of drop pop candy. It was fun cuz both of us can't sing :)

haha, she may not be a vocaloid but she does a vocaloid cover along with a normal one with almost all her songs
 
Lately I've been watching these Vocaloid English covers of songs, and to me they are funny as all hell.
I would post some right now, but I'm too lazy. Might update, or someone else will do it.
 
Still waiting for that IA game which has been delayed numerous times. Kind of burned out on listening to anything Miku related.
