He normally does that with games he hasnt played in a hot minute. He's probably putting off online because he's still fresh at the game lol. I wouldn't want to put up a video where i get steam rolled by the internet :p Next video is actual games hopefully. It would be cool if we could somehow direct him to this forum so he could educate himself with his team, but mmds is probably telling him the hotness is on the 86d forum. That website has a collective total of less than 500 posts.
 
Sad thing is that by the time we saw the first episode, all the other are already done, so we can't tell him to visit skullheart now and expect the videos to be different.

Also, wish MikeZ got some free time to teach him. Not saying MegamanDS isn't a good teacher, but damn! MikeZ was able to make all the voice cast become SG players (until some of them started forgetting everything), imagine what he could do teaching a guy with arcade experience like Max

MMDS is good enough. I'm sure Max will be fine. its not like he's gonna go "MAN these skullgirlz are so hard! why did I ever have Dan teach me?! MIKEZ SHOULD HAVE TAUGHT ME! I AM SUCH A FOOL!"

also, Dan is pretty good, and understands the game very well. plus, max has been to salty, so its safe to say mike or someone else working on the game showed him a few things.

Please stop shitting on Dan guys. It kinda makes both the FGC and SG fans look like dicks.

Lol, I was Maximilian's first online match and I lost, to be recorded for the world... I think my fraud level skyrocketed :P

oh well, still laughed my butt off when he called me an a-hole (though the only reason why I made him watch was that I don't know how to skip the level 3 cutscene...)

I like Max's videos, but I hope he plays Skullgirls a lot more. I would love to see an Online Warrior for Skullgirls kind of like he has for SF 3rd Strike and Marvel vs Capcom 3.

I don't mind Dan too much based solely on this video. Someone like him was part of the reason I got invested enough in SG to do training mode. Having that one guy in your fighting game life who did the same moves over and over on you when you didn't know how to handle it, all the while being called out on the mic can really motivate you.

it can make them not want to play the game, it can deter people who havent bought it yet from buying it because the community doesnt look inviting, and its dictating how people should play a game.

If playing solo is looked down upon so much, WHY IS IT STILL THERE AFTER A YEAR?!
If someone is playing solo, they obviously dont want the assist. it's BS to say "its ruining what this game brings to the table" because again, its dictating how people should play the game. @Sanoblase I understand where your coming from, but then you have to remember that sometimes Dan gets his butt kicked by ShinATProof who uses a solo Valentine.

EDIT: I don't hate Dan, but sometimes he just doesn't say the right things.

well thats between Dan and ShintATProof. and that doesnt help Dan at all! It makes him look uber spiteful! thats like people going on SRK and saying "People who play Zangief are ruining the spirit of Street Fighter!" after getting wrecked by a Zangief player online more than once!

to be fair MMDS has gotten a lot better than he used to be. and it's not that i don't agree with what he's saying because i kinda do. but he goes off to say it in the worst way possible. like there is legit no reason to pop off on solo players. i've learned that while solo players are severely gimped IMO, they are all a threat until the match is over. i've gotten blown up by a couple too many random solo players to not take them seriously anymore

I'm not saying anything else, but I'm just saying. In terms of California Skullgirls, you guys have PLENTY more candidates that deserve to be on the show more than him. It just irks me that just because he does something out of the game he can talk about what goes on in the game.

I'm just saying maybe the reason Dan is so Salty about solo players is because he gets smacked by them.
