Well, I know it's just a game, but measurements of Skullgirls characters are just... Weird.
(Oh, and sorry for my English. I know it's terrible.)

Like, for example, Valentine's breast size is 36 inches (91 cm) but it looks like 45 inches.
Filia's hips are 39 inches (99 cm), but it should be a little more.
It's pretty same with all other characters, but worst of them is, of course, Peacock...
It says Peacock has 17 inch (43 cm) wrist, which is terribly unlogical. I think, nobody can be so thin, when he has bones.
And she has robotic arms, robotic legs, metal teeth + she eats a lot of junk food and her weight is 94 lbs (42.6 kg).

They have measurements like anorectics, but they look normal in the game. It's like measurements are wrong.

Someone shares same opinion?

What do you think? What their measurements should be, if Skullgirls characters were real?

nah, let it be like that. If it were all more "real", val wouldn't be that sexy and a hollow dried-up dead body like squigly wouldn't have that amazing back-shock absorber

Measurements are always weird.

FUN FACT: Felicia mathematically and officially has a bigger rack than Mai Shiranui. Your life was bullshit until right now.

I knew something was off with this game! You're right all these characters are completely unrealistic! WTF is that!? Fix this broken mess of a game, Mike Z.

Yeah the cartoony art style is not the best representation for accurate body measurements lol. Just got to assume the stats are right despite the art style blurring the reality

Furthermore, in episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones.

I mean, what are we to believe, that this is a magic xylophone, or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

Actually I think the team said that they just eyeballed the measurements. If you want, you could probably tell them about the measurements and they'd fix em. The whole reason it was there was as a reference to old arcade games and their random character data/trivia.

This quote can't get enough likes. Which incidentally was on episode 4F12 ^.^

In their universe the Trinity made physics, stats and mathematics FUBAR, no one speaks up to correct things because they're afraid of Republican Double yelling at the highest volume her unholy chords are able, "Neeeeeeeeerrrrd!" <-- DBZ: Abridged reference, not actually dissing your points.

Joking aside, as others have said, I feel there's the eyballing and guestimating, but in Peacock's case. Since she believes herself to be a cartoon, I tend to think that may have altered her physiology. (It's way beyond conscious, if she gets run over she flattens to be as thin as a sheet)

Well, you never know. They might change their measurements later.

Can I bring up measurements in terms of ingame height? No? OkaythanksI'llbequick

Anyways, this is starting to bug me. Parasoul is 5'10, and in game, she's a tall character and you can do tall character stuff. Most males average 6'0-6'2, so this makes every male a 'tall character'. Our 'standard height' is 5'4, and that's pretty short (I know she's a girl and didn't finish growing but still). This makes reeaally tall character get messed up. Big Band, Panzerfaust, Scythana, and Ottomo. Ottomo can be Double height because that looks good. But as for the other 3, they're screwed up. Big Band had to be shortened for this reason. If we look at a game like Blazblue, Tager is giant. And to even more show he's giant is that Ragna, Relius, or Jin aren't tall enough to make weird combos on like Parasol. Because the base is a tall medium, it doesn't screw over the actual tall people. Hi D. Violet/ Victoria, Regina, and Eliza, I can't wait to make tall combos on you even though that usually doesn't happen in other games. Because if you really look at it, it's going to happen.

I guess it'd be neat if the measurements were more mathematically accurate somehow, but since they're cartoon characters, it's easier to imagine things from their perspective. You could just argue that rulers are sized differently in their world anyway.

Speaking of which, anybody ever seen those cool Michael Paulus dissections?

It's gonna be awesome to see Eliza do transitions like this in motion with her cartoon anatomy!

"Aliens"

Bubbles's skull makes her look like Isaac from the binding of isaac

Peacock's weight is really weird... Maybe it's just her weight without all the robot stuff, who knows?
Oh, I never thought of this.

I thought about this very thing the other day when overhearing some young women talk about making cosplay costumes for Filia and Marie on the train home from work. The comment on Filia was "she's like a G-cup, my friend's gonna need a lot of padding". I almost wanted to say (to assuage her concerns) "well, the site says C-cup...your friend should be okay", but thought better of it. Then I thought about that and realized I haven't a clue how one would even measure that, and figured that a woman would better know by sight how to match that aspect of the character designs.

Of course, whether these character designs can even be measured usefully is a completely different can of worms.

Big Band's measurements plz

Actually he got shortened to fit in memory on consoles. And now back to your regularly scheduled tangent.

A peanut is neither a pea nor a nut. Discuss

So... I've gotta ask... where do you live such that random women can be heard on train rides talking about cosplaying as skull girls characters? I've been to Canada multiple times before and this was not a phenomenon I experienced, but it was not Vancouver, is Skull Girls really that big there? Heck, the only time I've heard people talk about any sort of cosplay openly in a public setting was at Cons where said people were already in cosplay so to not talk about it would have been awkward. If its not obvious, my mind is like totally blown here.

On topic, I've always felt like fighting game measurements never seem to match what the visual representation suggests, so these measurements are just sticking with fighting game tradition of random values for the sake of having values.

I was on the SkyTrain going from Waterfront station eastbound, and some young women were talking about cons they were planning to go to and one of them apparently makes cosplay costumes for friends and family.

Greater Vancouver is a pretty nerdy place. On the other hand, people randomly talking about cosplay around me has only happened that one time since I graduated from university.

A wizard did it.
